Anybody know where to find a metal coat? I'm trying to evolve an onix.

I've been hoping for an Axex or Aggron from my mystery eggs, with no luck so far. I already know that what comes out of the mystery egg is decided when you frist start a save file, but i've been wondering if i could go into the games files to check what pokemon is set to come out of it, rather then spending my hours playing up to Narcissa's gym only to reset the game after being disapointed by the egg (i've done this about 21 times, i need more sleep). So basically, is there any value in the games files that tells you what pokemon is going to come out of the egg? Or am i going to have to deal with more sleepless nights? If anybody can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated.
