ammonite
Yess, trick room is the best. Some thoughts: I think a good fit for you might be Marowak. I've used it on trick room teams before and it deals great damage. Your team could use some more options to hit steel specifically since you have so many fairy types. Though, in general, fire or ground STAB is a good idea. Marowak gets lightening rod, so you can switch into electric moves that jellicent might attract, or protect teammates in doubles. The movepool is also good with swords dance, EQ+bone moves, rock slide, and brick break. For the different forms: - K. Marowak if you need a stronger ground move or need another rock resist that isnt weak to ground, like Mawile. It unfortunately doesn't get as many moves as A. Marowak and doesn't benefit as much from its abilities: nothing really spammable with Rock head, already immune to electric, battle armour isn't bad, but doesn't do much. - I usually go with A. Marowak since it has the deeper movepool, an additional immunity with lightening rod, or a super spammable rock head flare blitz. The only con for you is that it adds another rock and ground weakness to your team, but if youre sweeping already, it shouldn't be too much of an issue b/c of its great coverage. Additionally, it gets shadow bone if you need a stronger ghost move or if you want to set mimikyu up as a TR setter instead. Another idea is to get a fast pivot or attacker to clean up any battles - it might seem counter intuitive, but if you find yourself in a situation where you can't set up trick room, you can bring in a strong fast pokemon to remove the problem, die or switch out, and let your trick room setter come in easier. Also moves like fake-out or protect can help if TR needs to end sooner. I've used Weavile, Mega Sceptile, and Scolipede for this, but honestly anything that can hit decently hard and fast can work - pivoting moves are great here too. Other options I can vouch for: Porygon2, which is great for being customizable, bulky w/eviolite + recover, and can be pretty strong with download + coverage. I find that I use it more for double more than single battles, but i've had success with both. You can also do the Z-conversion for an omniboost option too. For you, issues with ghost and fighting types shouldn't be a problem and it gives you another special attacker if you need it. Bronzong, which is what I usually use for TR in singles lol. Very bulky with either heatproof or levitate, can do pretty good damage with gyro ball though. tbh bronzong would just do a similar role to what carbink is doing here: rocks, TR, explosion. A fun set is Z-TR then hypnosis, since you get an accuracy boost. Stakataka, which is only available natively in post-game Reborn rn, but its good. If you're patient you can get a low IV in defense (=< 14 at lvl 150 with max atk, lonely nature) so beast boost will boost your attack and you can sweep. Makes me think of a offensive bronzong honestly, but its defensive use isnt super. You can ignore this last note here since you didnt ask, but if you need a different move other than guillotine on vikavolt, thunderbolt or thunder if you have are a good choice; you dont have your Electric STAB potentially giving up your positioning. I respect using guillotine though lmao
