Acer aspire 5250 Windows 7 x64 bit The problem is that i dropped a hammer on it to the right of the mouse and it bugged out n shut off. Now whenever i start it shows the splash acer screen and then goes black and gives me this message Windows boot manager windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause to fix the problem: 1 insert windows install disc and restart 2 choose lang settings and hit next 3 click repair computer If you dont have disc contact system admin or comp manufacturer for assisstance Status 0xc000000f Info: the boot selection failed because a required device is innaccesable F8 doesnt work on the comp and alt/f10 brings me to this message Edit boot options Edit windows boot options for: windows setup Path: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe [ /MININT /REDIRECT RDIMAGEOFFSET=8192 RDIMAGELENGTH=3161088 RDPATH=multi(0)disk(0)partition(1)\sources\boot.win Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tempest Posted March 22, 2014 Share Posted March 22, 2014 You fucked up something. See if you can work with the BIOS and see if you can pull open the laptop and look at the hard drive. That where it sounds like the hammer got dropped; right on top of the Hard Drive, which explain why it doesn't load windows at all. You may need a new hard drive for it. Im not to familiar with harddrives e.e Edit: i changed out the comps 500gb for my old ones 160gb LOL its going to a repair screen thing but.i dunno.. im tinkering it but im expecting a check and im buying a new 500gb harddrive and installing that..
