Well i have my old laptop also an acer aspire. But id have to get into it and see if i cab switch them. Im not to familiar with harddrives e.e Edit: i changed out the comps 500gb for my old ones 160gb LOL its going to a repair screen thing but.i dunno.. im tinkering it but im expecting a check and im buying a new 500gb harddrive and installing that..

Yea i waslooking around the net and i did see that i may need a new harddrive.. What would i do in the bios? Ive looked through it n all but im not familiar with that part of computers at all

Hey if theres anyone on here thats good with laptops i have a serious problem with my new one.. Acer aspire 5250 Windows 7 x64 bit The problem is that i dropped a hammer on it to the right of the mouse and it bugged out n shut off. Now whenever i start it shows the splash acer screen and then goes black and gives me this message Windows boot manager windows failed to start.
