Where is Spring Deerling??

I have checked Route 1, Labrnyth Chrosolia and MALCHOUS

 

All I'm getting are Winter form deerling (brown)

Does it have to with the current season we’re in? Maybe try changing to the month from March to May.

There is a person who sells some petals that you can use on the deerlings to change them. If I remember correctly, it should be nearby.

I have a similar problem, except I can only find Spring Form Deerling.  I got the Spring Form from the Malchous egg event, and the wild Deerling in Chrysolia and Route 1 are all Spring Form as well.  I tried changing the time of day I was hunting in, then changed the date on my computer to see if that would work, but it didn't.  Even changing the year didn't seem to help.  Does anyone know how to affect which Deerling forms you can access?  The Fandom Wiki says there should be an equal chance of encountering Spring or Summer Forms in these early areas, but they don't explain how the game decides what you'll get.
