BGM not (really) working on MacOS

Somehow, the only BGM that plays is the Reborn Main Theme, and I'm unable to control the volume of the music. The sound effects all work, but the main theme just loops over and over and...... I've tried to see if anyone else was having this problem specifically on Mac but I can't find anything. All the .ogg files are in the BMG folder - including the theme.

This song has been on loop forever, please help free me from this prison!

Did you set the main theme in the jukebox?

Turns out I did!

wow. 100+ hours into the game and I didn't even know the jukebox existed. I must have accidently turned it on reallly early in-game.
