pyrous mountain puzzle help

Hello I watched several videos and tried digging up any posts about the puzzle but all i found so far was to talk to kiki again (or something like that). i can't follow the videos because the rocks they smash are different than mine which have pokemon appear every time. im stuck so pls any help or redirection

You just have to rock smash the pillars on the floors below where the lava currently is. If a pokemon appears when you rock smash you have to kill it otherwise it doesnt clear the lava.

but i thought killing the pokemon resets the puzzle? i will try this

okay i finally solved it. i didnt need to smash any other rocks just one at the floor below and i am able to access the next point
