Shiny Egg Hatching

So I've been trying to hatch a shiny skrelp in forever (202 attemps as of now), and I've just thought of making a shiny egg sprite for the egg of skrelp. Will the game accept such when I'm breeding (like show the sprite I made and actually hatch a shiny skrelp), and if so how the hell do I name it?
