The man who fell off a tree?

Ummm, so I'm done with episode 9 and I though about checking that guy who fell off a tree and wouldn't answer. I remember that before entering the pokemart he was still there, and it looks like he isn't anymore. Not sure if this is a glitch or if it's supposed to happen, can someone help me?

He might have reset and you have to go through the steps again in the forest or he just isn't there anymore. Also, I'm pretty sure he's dead but I haven't played Ep.9 yet so I'm not sure if he's important.

When he first fell off I though we'd be able to help him later on, and then get something as a reward like a sticker, but I'm not sure now, I also entered some houses in Spinel Town, he wasn't in the ones I entered.

Also, I'm not sure if he got teleported and fell or if he fell from a tree, I just remember seeing him screaming and falling, it was night and stormy so it was very hard to see what was actually happening.
