Can't play as a male character

So, I don't know what happened but whenever I start a new game I can't choose any male options for my character. When starting a new game I select the 'Boy' option and it gives me the full list of Female characters and the same thing happens if I pick Girl or other as well. Even the character in the lab that allows you to change character sprite only gives me the Female characters when I select the Boy, Girl or Other option.

Gender and Spirte are 2 different things that aren't tied together.

1 and 3 are I believe the male sprites, 2 4 female, 5 6 other.

 

U should also be able to imput 4567 as a password to get the sprites for the older protags.

Okay the 1 and 3 sprites look less feminine in-game thanks for the help!
