New gym leader battles. [SPOILERS]

I'm making this so anyone who wants to talk about the new gym battles, or just major battles in general can talk about them here. It's not a help thread, although it could function as one I suppose.

For instance, the most surprising one for me was Erick. I kinda just walked in his gym and right into the battle on accident because I didn't know the new changes. He was also a double battle which surprised me. But I cheesed it first try in the funniest way. I lead with Decidueye and my shiny Camerupt (Shoutout to the person who did that shiny btw), and Rotom-W gets killed by crit leaf blade by Decidueye, and Magneton flash cannons my Camerupt for some reason. But he crits it. But little did he know, my Camerupt has anger point. Which raised it's attack to THE MAXIMUM. In short I spammed rock slide and won.

Another one was Flora, which I won first try via Nasty Plot+Overheat Salazzle. I had my shiny Salamence take care of the Ludicolo of course.

The only one who completely destroyed me was Angie. I had nothing for her, and nothing I tried worked. So I used Togedemaru, used nuzzle on A-ninetales. And just cheesed it with para hax from Sudowoodo. The whole plan was dependent on her getting parad 3 times so I could use shift gear 3 times to win. I also had to land every rock slide and head smash. So yeah. I counted at least 20 resets from the time I stuck with the plan. Idk how many I did before that.

There was something I noticed though. Amber and Erick had no field effects. I'd say it's a problem with double battles, but the puppet masters though. I'll tell Jan about it some day. Also, can I just say, even though I had minimal problems with it. Thunder Pulse is a STUPID MOVE. It's like nuzzle, but powerful. At least Cold Truth and Psyche Terror have chances to inflict their status. Thunder Pulse is just outright 100%. And its annoying, because of all the hax it introduces. I don't think it was this way in V8. So why now. That's just a mini rant of mine lol. I got relatively lucky on that battle, so let me not complain.
