No notification of Pokemon switching in

Sorry I don´t  know where to put this. I was battling an Audino breeder with my Pangoro. I used circle throw, Audino fainted and a new one was thrown in. But from now on, every time I faint an enemy Pokemon, I don´t get the option to switch my Pokemon anymore (no matter who I´m fighting). Is there some fix to it?

check your options: your battle style needs to be "shift"
