It determines where the file is. Macs are weird, and I can't help with those due to not knowing how their files work. On Windows though the location of your save file can be found here:
C:/Users/YourUserName/Saved Games/Pokemon Reborn
With the YourUserName replaced by whatever your name is. The file will be in that folder.
No backups? I was wondering because I can't figure out what's wrong.
No backups wasn't really thinking at the time when installing the mod.

Currently stuck on 7th street unable to progress the story. I have fought the old lady and aqua leader. Watched a guide on the order you should talk to the people but when I enter then leave the watering hole nothing happens. I should also mention before this I had to install a mod to let me walk through walls to even gain access to 7th street since my gang (magma) wasn't at the hideout and the lady wouldn't move. I would be most grateful for any type of help with this.
