My understanding is that the beta version is essentially near identical to what we'll have in the final release, save for some bugfixes. I don't think you'd be missing anything if you started over now versus then!

Also, for your question about taking your mons to your new save file, I know you said 'fluidly' transfer, but I don't see why you couldn't trade them to the new file?

Embarrassed to say I only just now realized upgrading my current save file to e19 is completely possible once the option is there. For some reason I had it in my head that my current file would be stuck in e18 mode and wouldn't be able to trade to a new file. D'oh.

Alas, it is what it is. I do recall you recently mentioning the training processes being made much less grindy in e19, so I'll just start fresh and use that to my advantage, then!

This is going to be the hardest week of my life to get through knowing what's coming next weekend. Go faster time, dammit!

 

I've got a question though. It might be dumb, but I don't really know where else to ask. When e19 releases, I wanna do as you've recommended and start from the very beginning again without making any further progress in my current save file. However, I also wanna take all the Pokemon I've trained up to this point with me on the new playthrough just 'cause I put weeks into raising so many of 'em specifically for this occasion. Is there a way to fluidly transfer them between saves and episodes? Amid all the excitement as of late, this has kinda been worrying me for a while now >_<

Ah, shoot! This is just getting too cool, now. You guys have been putting so much polish and TLC into fixing every little part of the game, and it's really showing just how well it's coming together with these teasers.

 

...so I guess this means I will be restarting from Square 1 again once the final product is out. I was really on the fence about it at first, but It'd feel insulting to you guys not to at this point.
