The good news is that, you posted that 8 hours ago, and this bug should disappear after 8 hours have passed (even if the game isn't open). So you should now be able to play again without having to do anything. Plus, you probably won't re-encounter that bug until the next patch (in which it will be fixed).
If you somehow do though, you have a few possible solutions:
- replace Game_Screen.rb by the attached file (written by BlueTowel)
- wait 8 hours
- wait for 19.06

Here's my save file for the issue I posted about here. I'm stuck at the top of the Celestine cascade, if I try to go to route 2 the game crashes, if I try to go down into the water treatment center the game crashes. Issue seems to happen only on 19.05, but I'd rather not play earlier patches in case their were team changes or other bugs that I may run into in later parts of the game.

UPDATE: I extracted 19.0, completed the story inside the water treatment center, and successfully left it. I updated it, and the issue reoccurred as I tried to make my way to Route 2. I'm guessing this error may have something to do with changing areas?

When I say "old game" I mean the first version of E19 that I downloaded when it was released, NOT E18. I just realized that could have been confusing.

Whenever I try to leave the water treatment center, the game crashes. I re-extracted the old version of E19 that I downloaded upon it's release from its zip file, and it resolved the issue. I wanted to see if the issue occurred specifically with the new update, so I updated the game, and I got the same error code. I'll re-extract the original version I downloaded to progress, as that seems to fix the issue, and only re-update the game once I'm out of this place, but as it seems the error is specific to the update I thought I'd submit this report.

I've barely restarted, and I already love the changes to the early game. I'll return once I have more to say, but to all the dev's & Ame, thank you for creating a challenging, story driven pokemon game. When I was younger I'd always wanted to play a pokemon game with more depth to the story and characters, and that was actually hard. It felt like that idea had a lot of potential. You've unleashed that. Congratulations on 10 years of hard work, every bit appreciation sent your way is well deserved. Now back to playing E19 for me!

I can’t wait. I only discovered reborn last summer, and I have conflicting feelings about that. One one hand I would have loved to join this community earlier, on the other hand the wait would’ve been even longer. This game sucked me in and reignited my passion for Pokémon. We’re finally reaching the conclusion to this game, and I almost can’t believe it. Super Hyped, and can’t wait to play E19!

Congratulations Ame! You guys are amazing. 10 years of work to create the best Pokémon fan game in existence, inspiring (at least) 2 more great ones in rejuvenation and desolation, and it’s finally come to a close. All I can say is congratulations. And thank you. For making the Pokémon game that is what I’ve always dreamed a Pokémon game could be. Through 10 years of work, you made that dream a reality. So all I can say is thank you.
I look forward to Starlight and the rest of your future endeavours. Good work, and good luck!
