Caz forgot to implement the buff in the new update, it will probably be back again for version 6 if he doesn't forget again.

Ava is an official gym leader in the game, and if I'm not mistaken, one of the stronger ones, meaning it would make most sense for the MC to collect other gym badges to get stronger before challenging Ava. The developers could put in a battle between the MC and Ava as just a casual friendly battle, but it would defeat the purpose of the Gym battle since you would already know you're more than capable of defeating her in an official gym battle, especially since we're already capped out at level 70 so there's not much you can really do that would make Ava spike in difficulty in a Gym battle.

Soooooo basically the first battle with Ava will probably be a Gym battle with her somewhere nearing the end of our adventure, and perhaps the developers might add battles between the player and Ava following the Gym battle as friendly sparring matches, as well as being able to be re battled through the Battle Simulator built in the top floor of our mansion.

I forgot the name of the character, but if you do the sidequest in North Cellia with the detective, you're told that someone in a Black Fox uniform entered your home. When you go to the top of your mansion, you're greeted by the man and he battles you, he's the one who owns the Mega Toxicroak.

I literally searched through all of Blackview and found her nowhere, I think the quest will be continued in episode 6, so right now there's no way to continue the quest, it just ends there.

Don't worry, you'll get a chance to change the nature of your mon later on in the game, it's random but I'm pretty sure you can just reset until you get a more beneficial nature. However the game does not offer any services similar for IVs, so yeah it's a good idea to hang on to that one

Saving Nova at the end of Episode 4 really helps with getting the good ending of episode 5. Other than that, there are a lot of books scattered around as well as a cave inscription that provide you with what is commonly referred to as "Insight." You'll know you interacted with the right thing when you get a message that goes something like this: "You feel a wave of curiosity wash over you." (It's been a while since I finished E5 so I don't remember exactly what the message says, but its in a different font color so you'll know for sure when you see it). If you interact with enough of these, I think 7 is the minimum, and you also saved Nova, there's no way to get the bad ending, just make sure you do not give Darkrai your hand when given the choice.

Oh, and for several pieces of insight, they're not really shoved in your face, you gotta search for them. So make sure you do a lot of the sidequests around Odis Village and explore every nook and cranny. A big hint for the Dreamscape is that when something is locked, it usually won't be locked for long

... Also after you beat the Team Crescent Member in the East Wildlands, go back to the Town Hall to get access to another piece of insight where there was once some random dude blocking the way.

Are you on the latest patch, 5.1? Last time I played, I remember that Garrett's goon would ask you if you wanted to travel to the EV training cave, you just wouldn't be able to access the basement itself, which I think was added in the latest patch and was not present in previous iterations of Episode 5. Otherwise, you can also go to Blackview City and teleport there via the teleporter in the Daycare if you purchased the upgrade through Mana. Also I think the Badges missing should have been fixed in 5.1, I've never experienced my badges missing when I played either.

I think it's stated somewhere in the journal entries in the Archives. I remember Aurora feeling pity for Kukui/Keegan as he was just foolishly following Shiv/essentially being used? I think it's in Journal Entry #5, the one you need the Archives Key to access.

Read every book you possibly can in the Twins' mansion, interact with the cave inscription in the South Settlement, do sidequests in Odis Village and the North Settlement just beneath the Waterscape which unlock more books that can be read to gain insight, read the book in the Town Hall, once you read all of these, you will have enough insight to fight off Darkrai

You don't, go to the bottom right of the Cellia Docks and find a sketchy house tucked away in a corner. If someone is blocking the house, that means you need to sleep in the hotel that was payed for you by Ava. After, once you return back to the house, there should be no one blocking the way. Once you enter the house, events will unfold and you will be allowed to enter Cellia City.

Hit the Windows key + R and then type in "Saved Games" (without the apostrophes of course), once you're in this folder, there should be another folder called "Pokemon Desolation". Once you click on this folder, there should be a bunch of files named for example:

1 - (Your characters name) - 0h 20m - 0 badges.rxdata

There could be a lot of these files or very little, depending on the amount of backup files you allowed the game to generate in the settings. Once you find one that goes back to right before you got stuck, (a good one to look for is one quite a bit later than when you received the third gym badge) and then right click that file, hit rename, and then change the name to "Game.rxdata" (once again, without the apostrophes). Also make sure you delete the original Game.rxdata file before you do this. Next time you reload your game, your character will be where that backup save was made. And remember, make sure you do this on the latest patch, 5.1, so that you don't just run into the same problem again. If you still need any more help, let me know.

Hey! For future problems such as this one, please try and post it in the Troubleshooting section. Anyways, this problem should have been fixed in the latest update, which is 5.1. If the problem still persists, try asking again in the Savefile troubleshooting post in the Troubleshooting section and a developer can try and help, but yea, 5.1 should have fixed this problem. You can find the download here:

EDIT: If for some reason the problem does persist, you can try and go to a backup save that occurs before you battle that grunt. Just make sure you're on the latest patch before you redo those events. It's fairly easy to do as well, but if you need some help with that, let me know.

Mega Evolution is possible right before the battle with the seventh gym leader, through a sidequest. However, you're very limited in the mons you can Mega at this point of the game.

Having finished the game, I now know who I should have trusted the entire game, but just pick whoever you trust more with the current events of the game. If you value reputation points, you lose more with certain characters when giving the stone to Nova, but if you give the stone to Shiv, you can make up for the lost reputation points with Nova later in the story through some key choices. Also, giving the stone to Nova infuriates Shiv, while Nova seems more understanding of your choice if you decide to give the stone to Shiv. You still lose reputation points for either of them depending on your choice, but maybe you lose more with Shiv if you decide to give the stone to Nova.

To add on to this, if you decide to give the stone to Nova, specific future instances where you can gain reputation points with Ava are actually nullified, meaning you can't increase your reputation points with Ava where you normally could if you decided to give the stone to Shiv.

I also noticed that if you have a good relationship status with Scarlett, if you decided to give the stone to Nova, and then decided to stop Scarlett from taking her own life, she will not kill herself after seeing you switch sides just to save her life. There is another way to save Scarlett (collecting her old bow) but when I got to the scene atop the Sky Tower in Blackview, there was no prompt to show her the bow, simply my choice to give Nova the stone saved her life.

Several other instances will occur where Nova and Shiv will mention you handed the stone to Nova/Shiv in dialogue. These are most of the outcomes I can remember from my playthrough where I gave the stone to Nova.

Just go the Discussions section and you can find two threads, one that outlines the availability of every Pokemon made by the developers themselves, and a fan made thread that details where and when you can catch every Mon available, they're both pinned as well so you'll find them somewhere near the top. As for mods, I don't believe there is a dedicated thread to that, but if you search around the internet I'm sure you can find some, but I am not sure if the developers are with/against the use of mods, so proceed with caution.

If you did the Cellia Item Shop quest, you can buy Link Stones from the shop for a small price of credits. If you didn't do the quest, go talk to a lady at the Cellia Docks, I believe she's at the pier right above the boat that takes you from Blackview to Cellia.

I believe if you saved Nova there's no way to get the bad ending unless you deliberately choose to take Darkrai's hand but even that's not the worst ending compared to straight up dying lol

Hey! So I was gonna ask this question in the Ask Us Anything Thread, but unfortunately, when I got around to doing it, the thread was locked

So I'll just ask here and hope one of the devs see it.

I wanted to ask about Aderyn's design in the game. As it is right now, she looks REALLY similar to the female ranger trainer class in Pokemon X and Y, with some minor differences like skin tone and hair color. Do you guys plan on updating her design in the future?

I feel like she plays a decent role in the story, even appearing in a side quest so late in the game as after the sixth badge, from when she initially appears in the story when you only have 1 badge.

So a redesign would probably also be worth the extra work? I also think her design hasn't changed all that much since episode 4 when Pokemon Desolation was just a one man team and Ruby Red hadn't joined yet to create a bunch of the new cooler designs. Unless this is an intentional design choice in which I would feel pretty stupid for making this thread. And if it is an intentional design choice, I don't mean to bash on it, it's just something that I was curious about since she made her first appearance in the game.

I think telling Tristan is a good choice. I didn't tell him, and after finishing the episode an NPC in Odis mentions that Tristan is helping the twins with something iirc. I don't know for sure but I guess that wouldn't be the case if I had told him.

Apparently if you choose to tell Tristan the NPC tells that Tristan disappeared and says that he went to fulfill a promise.

Phew, good thing I told him about the visions. After playing through the ending of the game, I HATE the twins. I really don't want Tristan to become an enemy, would way rather want to have him as an ally.

Just keep battling Elite Trainers until you encounter some goons by the ladder to the fight club. They'll challenge you to a battle and upon losing to you, they will drop a note from their boss "J" who tasked them with beating you to steal your credits. Afterwards, bring the note to Garret, and he'll tell you where you can possibly find "J."

Talk to people in the different Wildlands and Odis Village. There's basically a sidequest around every corner. Some of them net you things such as Pokemon, credits, and items while others enable you to interact with things that give you more insight.
