Hi there! Have you ever stumbled upon Hollow Knight? It's really good, i think you'll may like it, it has a moderate difficulty, and it has a "mature" tone to it, for it's darker atmosphere, and its deep message of the story, i dunno, just recommending stuff. Well, anyways, welcome to the weird and wonderful world of the forums, hope you cherish the experience ^-^

I have in fact heard of this game, albeit I'm not sure how good I'd be at its gameplay from what I've seen - that said, it still looks like a very well-made game! Thank you for the recommendation!~

And thank you to everyone here for the warm welcome ^-^

    Try this

    • This problem occurs on random computers but can sometimes be fixed. The primary treatment is to change your Data Execution Prevention settings to allow Pokemon Reborn's Game.exe. Click here for instructions on how to to edit your DEP settings.
    • Alternatively, this error can sometimes be fixed by renaming "RGSS102E.dll" in your game folder to anything else, and renaming "RGSS104E.dll" to "RGSS102E.dll" instead.

I renamed the files and it works! Thank you so much for your help!!

  3. I've made an exclusion for the game's folder in my antivirus and also tried unzipping another download of it into my Project Files x86 folder rather than the Downloads folder where it was left before. I then tried to run the game in the new location, in Windows XP compatibility mode, as an administrator.
After doing all this, the Pokémon Reborn window is at least showing up now, but it doesn't do anything; it just shows up with a black screen and closes itself after a few seconds. There's no sound or error message or anything.

I tried looking around for similar errors, and a couple topics have mentioned updating drivers? However I don't really know how to do this. I've had my laptop for over five years now, so maybe it's too old (to the point it can't update Windows 10 past a certain point because "its drivers aren't compatible and no longer supported by the manufacturer" or something). That might also be why it isn't working, but if there's some other thing I can do to fix it I would love to try and get it working in some way..

  4. As the title of this topic says - hello!

My name here is nanonami (otherwise known as a very small wave), but please just call me Nami, it's shorter, haha. I also go by Aria in other places!

Although I haven't really gotten into fangames much (only played Insurgence prior to this), I really want to have fun with Reborn and see what its world and community have to offer!
The first Pokémon game I owned myself was Pearl, but I also stole played my sister's Ruby a lot before that, so a lot of my favourite Pokémon are found in those two games - Grovyle, Azumarill, Ninetales, Froslass, Luxray, Absol, Buneary, Lucario.. the list goes on. If I had to pick one type to specialise in, it'd probably be Fire or Ghost or maybe Fairy.

I play some games that aren't Pokémon, but some of them are a bit "conflicting" when compared to one another. For example, I enjoy "cutesy and bright" stuff like Kirby or Splatoon or Animal Crossing just as much as "more mature" stuff like Skyrim (or to a lesser extent KHUX and Dragon Quest IX). My type of game seems to be "easy to finish, hard to complete" with a side of "there's a lot of lore here if only you go and find it". Does that make any sense?

In terms of myself more widely.. I don't like revealing much personal information right off the bat, so forgive me for not saying much on that front. I do a lot of science and I like listening to music, even though I have specific and very strange tastes in music. I also enjoy coming up with stories and characters, both for established franchises and my own projects, not that any of them ever get off the ground..

Hopefully this is satisfactory for an introductory post. I don't know how active I will be here, but I'm looking forward to the experience nonetheless!

To anyone who chose to read all of this, I wish you a wonderful rest of your day!~

  5. After watching part of a playthrough of Pokémon Reborn and looking into the characters a bit, I am really interested in giving the game a try myself. I downloaded it last night, but when I unzipped the file and tried to play it today, clicking Game.exe does nothing even when I run as an administrator. I've gone into the control panel and made it exempt from the DEP thing as I saw in another topic, but that hasn't done anything either.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to why this isn't working? I'm on Windows 10 if that helps.

Thank you in advance, and I apologise if this isn't how to go about such a thing!
