[Team switching bug]

I am at the Eclysia Pyrimid Puzzle. As idiotic as I was, I tried to go ahead of Aelita and Ren. And now the switching button does nothing when I try to switch. Is there any way to fix this seemingly minor bug?

What is the best way to level up just before battling Crawli for the second time on terajuma? I decided to switch up my team for more diversity and I really wanna get them caught up to the team quickly.
