  1. The shopkeeper for the Berry Emporium is glitched, when you talk to them the first shop menu will only have Oran and Pecha berries, but if you try leaving that menu they'll ask you again if you want to buy or sell and then the buy menu will have the updated selection.

I wish they kept the Jenkel memory thing, I actually liked that feature.
I guess it was designed as a way to grind and catching the shadow pokemon you missed, though since audino breeders are a thing and since you stop encountering shadow pokemon fairly soon, they decided to remove it entirely?
But yeah, I think it was a good idea but clumsily executed. Yes, we apparently destroyed the factory they were made in, but I feel like it happens way too soon for such an important feature.
Also these pokemon could have been made a little more unique post-purification imo, maybe giving them +5 in some base stats or something, because in the end they really don't bring much at all which is slightly disappointing.

Yeah looking the Shadow mons I got only 2 are worth noting and not for any sort of battle usage. The Ponyta has flame body to help with breeding and the meowth has pickup, but thats the only good i can really see out of them. Looks like they tried making them useful by having an equal IV spread for all of them, and while that sounds cool on paper, in execution they just have either 10 ivs in each stat or somewhere around 20 in each, which probably wouldnt be that good later on. They did the same for EVs too but from my knowledge on competitive Pokemon you dont want at least 30 EVs in each stats, its usually maxing out only 2 stats so doing that only hinders them. They might also have moves they cant normally learn but you cant see those right away. There was 1 shadow mon that I remember being really good though, which was Shadow Torkoal but that was removed a long time ago.

Torkoal with drought is good, any Lycanroc form works well and moves like feint and wide guard can come in handy especially early in the fight.

Try to kill Ariados on the first turn or block its attack and kill it turn two and you have an easier fight.

Change the field with sunny day or drought.

Where could I get a Torkoal? I remember it was a shadow pokemon at one point but I think they removed that.

  4. I'm at the point in the story where I'm about to fight Crawli, and from what I've heard he's one of the hardest gym leaders. Any tips or things I should know going in before fighting him? I'm playing on Normal difficulty

In my opinion, it was a cool idea to bring in shadow mons but the execution, while good, wasn't exactly perfect. You get the snag machine early on and are quickly able to snag some shadows, 8 of them in total to be exact. Then after the 2nd gym battle (But before the 2nd badge) you lose it, making snagging impossible for a good while. I feel like they took it away a bit too early as you barely got to get used to snagging shadows to really feel as weak as you could losing it, and it was just to ensure the player doesnt capture shadow Mewtwo (When I mean, they couldve just had mewtwo bat away the ball like another legend fight down the line instead of breaking the snag machine). Shadow Mewtwo itself too is a weird concept to me, but I'll go into that later as I'm typing all this after waking up at midnight and unable to actually sleep.

Okey now that I've slept I'm going to touch on Shadow Mewtwo a little more. Keep in mind I've never played XD or Colosseum so I'm going off the little knowledge of Shadows I have. A shadow Pokemon is made by closing and locking the heart of a Pokemon from what I've gathered, but if that's the case wouldn't Mewtwo be immune to becoming a shadow mon? Mewtwo doesn't have a heart, or at least not the metaphorical kind of heart. They were made a heartless beast, that was the whole reason the Mewtwo project fell apart. So how do you lock the heart of something that already doesn't have one?

I believe he was meant to be akin to Miror B in XD, not Colosseum, and pick up stray Shadow Pokémon so you could snag the ones you missed. Whether or not that involved him being a member of Xen, I don't know, and the feature was obviously removed entirely.

(I have a lot of questions as to the purpose of Shadow Pokémon in Rejuvenation at this point, tbh.)

Thing about that is his first fight was directly after your snag machine breaks so you couldnt even catch it, but going off that I'm assuming that was their initial plan but dropped it after they introduced that Jenkel memory mechanic. But now that that's gone it's more like "Missed a shadow? Tough luck kid you're never seeing it again."

Fun fact, when I started replaying Rejuv once v12 came out, all I could remember was how useless shadow mons were after the caratos section. Last time I had played after your snag machine breaks you encountered 3 shadows you couldnt catch even using Jenkel's memory thing and after it's fixed you encounter a grand total of 1 for the rest of the game, making the whole journey to fix it feel pointless. I'm glad to see they put in more shadow mons but that time will always stick out to me.

    Got'em! Thanks a lot.

Well yeah the diving sprite is still missing but at the time there was no diving so, I get why it isn't there. A part from that, everything else is up and running

PS: Forgot to mention that the standing still sprite is missing as well, can you find it in the older versions? Goes by the name: "trchar001_2"

I always somehow forget that sprite, sorry about that, here you go!

Just need the ones for the girl with the pink hair. Thanks in advance!

Alright, here ya go! The last one goes in the Transitions folder, everything else goes in Characters. You might want to make sure the file names are correct when swapping since the newer builds have some different file names than the older builds. Lemme know if I forgot a sprite!

I was wondering if I could get those sprites as well. Is it possible for you to share them here, because I searched for older versions everywhere and I don't seem to find them

That's a lot of sprites, so give me a bit to figure out how to send them all. For now I'll just include their card sprites

  11. I was thinking back to when I first played Rejuvenation back in I believe it was 2016 and I remembered something that wont stop bugging me now. I specifically remember that in the first battle with Rorrim B he had a shadow Pokemon on his team, which it seems like it was removed in later versions. Was Rorrim B initially going to be a member of Team Xen but the idea got scrapped later on? I haven't played through all of V12 yet so please avoid spoiling that for me if this at all relates to it.

  12. In Blacksteeple when you get in a fight with your mom, her trainer class is Lingering Regret, which I believe was her title when you fight a version of her later on.

  13. Wait nevermind, I found an old build with them on my computer. For anyone who's wondering I found them in v7

Edit: 2 of the sprites are farther from the initial 4 in the files but they do exist, and they can also be found in v8 and v9

  14. 3 minutes ago, Myrrh said:

They no longer exist in the current build of the game, but the legacy designs used to have an alternate variant before they were replaced with the current designs.

Could I get a link or something for all the alternate legacy designs and sprites? I haven't seen these before

The player character that I use is Aevia and this is only really with regard to her.

I vastly prefer her legacy design to her current/new design so I replaced or changed every instance of her in the files to have only her base legacy design and her alternate legacy design.  For instances such as the headache or dive sprites, I simply replaced them with something so she'd not change into an entirely different design in those two instances.

      Reveal hidden contents

Part of what I like with Aevia's base legacy design is that it has her feel with regard to Nancy and like she's clinging to her in a sense.  Where when she changes into her alternate legacy design in the future with Melia and Venam, it symbolizes her coming into her own, while maintaining elements of Nancy.  The color scheme now contrasts to what it once was, she cuts her hair - which usually symbolizes a change within oneself in JRPG games or anime, and she looks less formal, while retaining a regalness to herself.

Alternate Legacy design? I don't remember the Legacy sprites ever getting alternate styles and all I'm seeing in the files is the base sprite, alternate base costume, and legacy design. Did I miss something?

  16. In all my time playing, the gym leader I've had the hardest time beating was Valerie. I started playing around the days when Valerie was extremely broken, and combined with me being the dumbest person ever (I had no idea what a meta was at the time) Valerie just gave me complete Hell, to the point I tried leveling a Gothitelle I had to pretty much near double what the cap was and praying for godlike rng

  17. I'm about to fight Narcy and I looked through the Field Effect Manual to come up with a strategy when I saw that it mentioned Flame Charge, along with 3 other moves, gained a 1.3x boost in power and a ghost type. However, when I tried this out it doesn't seem to have changed at all. There's no text indicating an effect even though Flame Burst, one of the other 3 moves, did. Is this a typo in the manual or some glitch?

but you mustn't have completed the whole quest. coz after it ends he starts selling different berries and there's no way thereafter to lower ev's

That seems like a bit of an oversight, thanks for the heads up!
