How far are you into the game? Do you have the Enigmatic Key yet? That could be it. You get it at a certain point in the story.

The 5th member is Novae. We’ve only battled her through help center missions. Other than that, her battle to obtain the last shard is not in the game yet as far as I’m aware.

I'm trying to find a Skrelp for Zumi, but I'm doing this after East Gearen has been restored. Therefore, finding Skrelp in the sewers is a no go for me. I see people saying Skrelp is also in Honec Woods, but using a Good Rod only nets me Remoraid and Old Rod nets me Goldeen. Is it like.. a 1% encounter? Is there somewhere else to find Skrelp?

Try to load up an earlier save file where you could still move freely. Hopefully you save often. I had a similar issue at a different location and that’s how I untangled myself. Use this thread for help.

Hmm.. you don't actually need to interact with the time crystal. When you enter the cave, she should appear in front of you iirc. Did that not happen? If not then perhaps it is a bug.

Look around Route 9 in the caves and find a time crystal.

I installed the new patch, but it didn't fix my problem. I'm still stuck at this spot, unable to move.
Edit: I booted up an earlier save and freed myself but just a heads up that this bug is still there haha.

Okay, so I'm in the post game and I'm doing the first help request for East Gearen - Neo (Pokeball Emporium request) . I'm at the Tecanlite Factory in a room where there is a key and I'm assuming the key is for the locked door in the same room. I picked up the key but the door is not unlocking. I'm assuming this is a bug.. or is this just not the right use for it..?
