Right off-hand that sounds like a corrupted save file to me. You'll need to go through you're backups to find a working one. Be aware that this can take a few tries since save files tend to corrupt in groups.

dont know where to find those
or how to use/activate them

When I open up the game and load my save file it gives me this error message 
Script 'PokemonLoad' line 410: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method 'updateMap' for nil:NilClass
