  1. Hey, I would like to request the team to think about a mass release functionality in the PC.

I have accumulated 48 semi- to completely full boxes just past the E4 (and would've filled it up earlier hadn't I already been hampered by space).

Especially considering that breeding is accessible, fun (egg moves) and also necessary in hardmode, a challenge exists to capture hundreds of mons (e.g. for Scizorite), and sorting boxes makes life much easier (by stats, moves, teambuilding), it would be very handy to be able to mass release eggs, breedjects and frankly unwanted mons.
It could be as simple as adding a new PC mode (next to Move, Deposit, Withdraw) named Release, so as to prevent people from accidentally releasing when in the PC for other tasks.

Also, perhaps the ability to re-order boxes falls under the same QOL improvement section. It would be silly to account for 10+ boxes of high IV Pokémon at the start of the game, but later that makes a lot of sense. So shoving around boxes would be very helpful.

I don't know the slightest about the feasibility/technical difficulty of implementing these 2 suggestions, so please forgive me for asking in case it is a mountainous task.

However, I hope to hear the community's thoughts on especially a mass release feature, and whether the devs consider implementing this.

    Regards, an avid player.

  2. Completed with "fullevs", "hardcap", "noitems" (not "stopitems"), completely blind without adaptation after Victory Road. Was lacking quite some TMs and items (e.g. Assault Vest and Shadow Ball).

All stats, items and moves have been changed numerous times throughout the gauntlet but the most common are shown.

Lv100 Tyranitar "The Rock" / Sand Stream

    252 HP / 252 DEF / Impish / Smooth Rock

Stone Edge / Payback / Dragon Tail / Stealth Rock

    *Sometimes Mega Evolved

Lv96 Dragonite "Proto Drake" / Multiscale

    252 SPA / 252 SPE / Modest / Weakness Policy

Draco Meteor / Hurricane / Fire Blast / Extremespeed

*Sometimes Choice Specs or Focus Sash

    Lv100 Krookodile "B1 Renekton" / Moxie

    252 ATK / 252 SPE / Jolly / Choice Band

Earthquake / Knock Off / Beat Up / Stone Edge

    Lv100 Rotom-Wash "Pizza" / Levitate

    252 HP / 252 SPA / Modest / Choice Specs

Hydro Pump / Thunder / Volt Switch / Electroweb

*Sometimes Focus Sash or Sitrus Berry+DEF

    Lv100 Scizor "Schizor" / Technician

    252 HP / 252 ATK / Adamant / Scizorite

Bullet Punch / Bug Bite / Swords Dance / Knock Off

    *Sometimes Choice Band or coverage

Lv100 Garchomp "Garchomo" / Sand Veil

    252 ATK / 252 SPE / Jolly / Plate items

Outrage / Earthquake / Iron Head / Swords Dance

    *Sometimes Choice or Focus Sash

    Spoiler

Heather was a walk in the park with this team, relying on revenge kill setups with Moxie.

Laura/Bennett was quite challenging but beaten by KO-ing Galvantula before Sticky Web and carefully calibrating one shots with Stone Edge until Grass types remained. Then, full firepower was needed to burst through Giga Drain alongside predicted Protects. The fullevs password was very annoying here, giving mons much more tankiness than they would have otherwise.

Elias felt like it had many variations/randomizations. It took some hours. Noivern was killed by Tyranitar while putting up Rocks turn 2 and then, he soaks a Z-Clangs by Kommo-o. Interestingly, I put 30 EVs into Scizors speed to outspeed Drampa. From there, 1-for-1 trades are made until Scarfed Garchomp can 2-HKO M-Kang with Outrage. Playing around Ditto was interesting, but ultimately he was too squishy to survive much.

Anna was free with a Scizor lead, OHKO Ninetales. Scizor was saved for Gardevoir and Sylveon later. Banded Garchomp could snowball from Metagross into Jirachi quite handily. Sand Stream helped a lot in weakening Anna's moves.

Lin 1 was a first try one shot. Very good match up for my team and kept trading 1 for 1 after securing a free first kill with Bullet Punch. In the end, Abra was easily 2 shotted by everything.

Lin 2 starts with a 1 for 1 win by Tyranitar with Iron Ball Fling. I keep him in reserve and tank a Giga Drain with Rotom. Dragonite with Sash finishes Celesteela, kills Hydreigon and dishes an Extremespeed in a high value spree. Trading happens until Clefable, that annoyingly runs Unaware. There, Scizor can transition to Arceus, whom I Protect or Toxic depending on his type. When he would roll a resisted type, he uses Dark Pulse, so that gives me a window to Toxic. Then, I widdle him down by predicting his move according to his type and by predicting his Full Restores with another Toxic. Finally, he drops to his Life Orb.

The hardest fights were 2, 3 and 6 for sure, with Laura/Bennett probably taking the #1 spot because of the poor team matchup. A Torkoal would have looked much different there.

  3. Today, I beat the game with a team that I took straight from the Victory Road into the Elite 4. Curious, I just barged in after restocking on some Revives, but decided to push on when I beat the first E4.

I did not even pick up every TM, level all my Pokémon to Lv.100 or grab otherwise crucial items such as Assault Vest. It does add to the proud feeling I am experiencing now.

The passwords I have on are "fullevs", "hardcap" & "noitems". I didn't use "stopitems" so I had to deal with Full Restores every battle.

Every fight required major changes in EVs (used up all EV Tuners), held items and move sets. At one point, I used Snarl on Krookodile and Toxic on Scizor. Nonetheless, the gauntlet felt like the most challenging experience I have had in Pokémon and was extremely fun. Harder than Insane mode Rejuvenation and Radical Red. Of course, partially because of the self-inflicted passwords and the fact that I went in blind without preparing my team.

  4. Hey! Was wondering if anyone had noticed, but the Logic puzzle with the hitmons in Citae d'Astrae is unsolvable by logic!
Before completing, Hitmontop claims that Tyrogue is speaking the truth, whilst Hitmontop is dark.
This implies Tyrogue is actually lying, but he's light, so this is a flaw in the puzzle.

Upon completion, this dialogue changes the word Tyrogue to Hitmontop himself.
He makes a statement about himself (which is odd enough), but it is at least true, since he is dark, therefore lying, therefore making sense again.

It should be changed if this puzzle should be solvable with logic instead of trial and error!

I will make a post in the bugs section if that's appropriate.

  5. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has kept track of the egg moves that event Pokémon often possess.
Sometimes I find very good IVs on a Pokémon and it would be such a shame to reset to check all the possible egg moves.
It is also quite handy to see which ones are available beforehand so I can decide whether or not to pursue certain events.

    For example, I got

    Spoiler

Eevee just now in the Lost Railcave (ex Mysidia Railcave) and I've only seen Yawn and Curse.

    However, it has insane stats.

At the moment I have no way of knowing the possible moves unless I reset it.

There are usually 3 egg moves possible for event Pokémon, e.g.:

    Spoiler

Pichu gets Volt Tackle (normally tutor move!), Wish or Fake Out,
Elektrike gets Flame Burst, Ice Fang or Switcheroo,

For some, I don't know them all by heart:

    Spoiler

Growlithe (at least Close Combat and Morning Sun),
    Meditite (at least Bullet Punch),
    and now Eevee

It would be very nice to get collected data on these events so building a team can be done better and it is worth looking for a particular move.
Some Pokémon have events before them too that are a drag to repeat.

    Spoiler

I have battled the Mightyena horde over 30 times in a row to get a decent Flame Burst Electrike (it can already take a handful of tries or 30 minutes to get the move in general),

It proved to be very tedious but the result makes the events/game a lot more fun.

I am convinced that the 3 possible egg moves have been chosen deliberately and manually put in the game because they are very often the most interesting and best egg moves for either general battling, coherence of a team (e.g. Sun team) or breeding.
Of course, the addition of the one of the moves described earlier *has* to be manual.

A last remark I'd like to make: the egg move selection has changed over the course of some episodes. Most stay the same in my recent experience but I've seen Numel have a new egg move from episode 16 to 17.

Has this information been collected before? I thought it fits in On The Hunt because it is about all event Pokémon. If not, please tell me so I can post it elsewhere.

  6. The Chrysolia Forest egg is a Maractus, is it not?

For the rest, I didn't know changing variables is a thing. Every playthrough I'm excited for the Water Egg and the Mysterious Egg but I've run out of luck...
Got a Clamperl and a Cottonee again. Frequently rolling the 1-2% worst luck. Maybe I should go the the casino.
