Redemption Weekly - Week Thirteen!
Hi, welcome to the Redemption Weekly!
All right, now that we got the "weekly" jokes out of the way, let’s talk redemption. We already got our first champion, congrats to Shinyrio! Other challengers are also climbing the league, so there might be a new champion soon! Not much else happened over these three weeks, to be frank. But let’s get onto the leaders.

Livi’s still keeping it slow with her Trick Room mostly! Can’t say it hasn’t been working out for her, to be honest. She has had the highest number of matches in the first three brackets since last time, a whopping… 11! It’s… it’s something. She won a great share of them too. I’d say she got a lot of battles for being a favourite among restarters and recent challengers, and it has been certainly paying off for her!

He got more than 5 battles! Fabian is still the second most prolific among the leaders (after me, of course ;)), alternating between fast-paced bulky offensive singles and Trick Room triples mostly, but occasionally breaking out the Octillery :]. Naturally, he’s still doing very well, and shows no signs of slowing down. Always watch out for his Crawdaunt. It’s an absolute monster if it gets you off guard.

Can’t be saying I had it as slow as most leaders (it’s actually great for me, since I can just say I was busy this entire time :P). I like to do a little bit of everything, good ol’ regular singles and tailwind triples mostly, and I like to use every pokemon I have access to, especially Bibarel! Mr. Wiggles didn’t get much of the spotlight so far, but you bet he’’ll be ready for anything!

Emilia also had quite a bit of battles recently! This season, she's been going more for singles, doing them almost as much as she does triples, and it's been working for her! Her triples strategy is pretty well known at this point, so I'll talk a bit about her singles: she likes to go all out, with Torkoal to clear hazards and everything else to overpower her opponent, especially her Charizard. Be careful with it, especially after it sets up!

If there’s anyone who can’t complain about these three weeks (provided you don’t bring up Togekiss), it’s Lucy! Since last time, he went from being down in the dumps, to being over 70%! This is owed to his persistance,

Hello, hello! Jessica and Mr. Wiggles reporting for duty! This time around we're bringing you the final leader reveal of season 3! That's right, it's finally time to unveil the champion! While it may come as no surprise to anyone, cue the dramatic drum roll...! The champion of season 3 iiiiisssss:

Oliver is a master of the flying type and holder of the
Fujita badge, and when I say master I mean it. He's really good! If you make it to him you'll no doubt face your hardest challenge yet. Ubers excluded, Oliver has access to any Legendary Pokemon he wants that shares his type, and unlike last season he doesn't have to stick with it. He is free to choose in any battle! In addition to that he is also permitted to use Mega Pokemon that lose the flying type. An example being Mega Charizard X. Lastly, since Oliver is the champion you're not permitted to use Retry tokens against him. So if you lose that's it until the next time he's on! However, you're free to use any move tokens you may have left. Just keep in mind that Oliver is allowed to change a move too, or even the battle format! Now that we have all the details out of the way, it's time for an interview!

Oliver- Not really. They're all pretty lame.
Jessica- Oh? Not even Shinyrio? He has done pretty well this season. He has beaten most leaders in a single attempt and only one has beaten him twice. You're not worried about him?
Oliver- Nah. He may have had a good run but I'll show him what a real battle is.
Jessica- You sound confident at least. Lets travel back in time, though! Season 2 ended with a big bang, but we never really got to ask your thoughts about your challengers then. Any battles you enjoyed or challengers you thought tough?
Oliver- I enjoyed beating them all several times. Who was the guy with a Hariyama? The last battle with him was actually pretty close. I guess that one was fun.
Jessica- Hmm. I don't know who you're talking about! Anyway, let's shift topics. Last season your relationship with your sister started off badly but it was getting progressively better. How is your relationship with Olivia now?
Oliver- She's less annoying, and stronger. I can respect the effort.
Jessica- Any thoughts on her dating Erwin?
Oliver- She's going out with that loser? Makes sense. I always thought he was sleeping in our yard because he's a failure of a comedian and homeless.
Jessica- That's...brutal. A-Anyway. We don't know much about you other than you're good at what you do. Do you have any hobbies? What about friends?
Oliver- I fly planes and play video games when I'm not stomping scrubs. I hang out with Jasper and Ken occasionally.
Jessica- Oh? Interesting. You know Jasper did mention you had a soft side for birds. Care to elabo-
Oliver- Shut it.
Jessica- Ouch. Okay, you listed video games among your hobbies? I believe Jayde has a passion for games too. Do you two play together?
Oliver- Yeah. We do. She's really good, but not better than me.

Redemption Weekly - Week Ten!
Hi, welcome to the Redemption Weekly! …Or monthly, I guess! Sorry, sorry, me and Mr. Wiggles kind of lagged behind… by a month. But we’re back, with some big updates! Since last time, Bracket 5 was opened, and so was Bracket 6, and they had some pretty interesting things to show! Well, most of Bracket 6 was revealed 😉. Speaking of, congratulations to Shinyrio for getting 17 badges! You can finally fight the champion! You’ll have to wait and see who it is though… Now, let’s see how the leaders did for this month. It has been long enough, so each leader gets two replays!

feeding off restartersclimbing back to his 50%, he didn’t have many battles over the last month, but he’s going steady! It’s kind of a shame though, since he got so much new stuff recently. He got Zapdos and Zeraora, two very powerful legendaries, and two more defoggers with the USUM changes, Rotom and Silvally! Certainly an improvement on the hazard clearing he had before, which was… none, actually. Uh, oops? You’ll also see a lot of Freddie, his Altaria, and beware: you never know what Freddie might do!

Mira is still going very strong, still with the most battles so far, a second promotion since las time, and the highest winrate in her bracket! She is still a big fan of her Singles teams, of which you never quite know what you’ll get, though I’ve seen her back a couple of times to her last season’s bread and butter: Trick Room Triples: Be sure to pack Iron Balls for that! Her favourites seem to be Mimi, her ace, and the likes of Aegislash and Alolan Marowak! Don’t go unprepared, or you’re in for a tough time; Mira has the second highest winrate of the league for a reason.

chilli pepperwater leader, Fabian! He seems to be pretty different from Lilly. In fact, he’s yet to use full stall, and when he goes rain triples, he usually prefers to be a bit more creative! There are a lot of slow Water-types out there, and he’s well aware of that, as he’s quite the fan of Trick Room! He also showed us some very interesting water shows with Water Spout Octillery and After You Swift Swim Seismitoad! When he goes singles, he seemingly prefers to use hard hitters and sweepers like Gyarados. He improved quite a bit since last time, and has the fourth highest winrate right now, at a comfy 74%!Featured replays:

I usually go with my bouncy Chansey and some normal for singles, but I like to be a bit more creative in triples. I usually go with Tailwind and then with some new faces, like Kangaskhan and Alolan Raticate! Mr. Wiggles joins in too sometimes, though he’d rather fight Lucy than the dark leaders… But I just can’t say no to him

Here he is, the man of the hour: Duncan! Right now, he has the highest winrate of all leaders, ahead of Mira! For this, he even got a promotion, going up to bracket 5! Like her, he seems to prefer singles, and he’s bringing some new things into the table! One of his favourites is Inner Focus Mudsdale, it chases away any smart Togekiss! He’s still using his Gastrodon, which has some new tricks to be immortal, and his Nidoking, who is as strong as ever, and now with a queen to fill in for him, or with him! He seems to be showing more of his smarter side this season, who knows what we’ll see next?

Poor lucy: the legendaries have been rough on him… He’s currently with the lowest winrate, at 20% (though he did face some pretty bad matchups), and he’s being demoted. Mr. Wiggles seems pretty happy about it though. He seems to be trying, to no avail so far, Trick Room in doubles and triples, and his usual in singles. He seems to be taking it better than you’d expect though. There’s still time for him to go back up: it’s only been 5 matches!

And the fan favourite is back! Erwin’s still at his old tricks again: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it! He’s still exclusively doing singles, keeping up with his old buddies but letting some neat stuff slip by, like Curse Mega Scizor, and even got some new friends, like Buzzwole (Jonathan)and Ribombee (Zoey)! He seems pretty happy and ready to battle! Aside from that, he also recently beat the neighbouring Mythos League, so congrats to him!

Our mysterious mistress is back, and she’s just like before, but apparently, with a whole new look! I must say, this definitely suits her! She’s taken a shine to Nidoqueen, her bulky rocks setter, but her ace, Salazzle, is yet to make an appearance! Otherwise, she’s the same Venus we know and love.

As in the past, defeating Venus awards you with the
Miasma badge. Though I imagine doing so will prove to be difficult as I'm sure you're all aware! Before I get to the interview Venus will unfortunately not be available this coming up weekend. She's deeply sorry but she has a lot of things to take care of before she can properly re-assume her leader duties. However, after that she will be ready to go! Now for the interview!!

I'm extremely thrilled and grateful that Poison is receiving the recognition it deserves. Poison is a very elegant type, you know. But I do have to admit that it does pressure me a little bit since I'll have to prove my battling abilities in every battle since I'm a Bracket 6 leader and all. Nevertheless I hope my challengers enjoy their battles with me and I hope I can have some nice fun too.Jessica:

All of them - including yourself dear - look very attractive. It's a compliment! As for catching my attention.. I'm not too sure. This is quite certainly the biggest reveal yet and likely will stay that way, as Leo has become more than the strong man he used to be. He's earned himself a seat of power in the regions own council now! What a shocker am i right? Before that though, I should mention to all of you that Leo is the redemption leagues very own Fighting type leader! I'm surprised he's able to juggle this and his own legislative duties. Anyway, I've heard that before Leo opted to join the government, he was some sort of PI, doing work with Duncan of all people! Isn't that just interesting? However, as far as I've been able to find it was only for a single case or two and very little details have been released about both. Just who was Leo behind his strong man exterior? I scheduled an interview with him to find out for you all! Enjoy.

Hardly! I'm the strongest man on earth right now, I'm quite content with the position I'm in now. It's the position I've always wanted to be in! WAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jessica-
You see, that wasn't really the impression I got from some of your old bios. It just seemed like you were an ordinary, and well, extraordinarily strong man. What was it that spurred you to become the head of the region's government?
Leo-
Well, the cat's out of the bag at this point so I might as well tell you. Last season, after our good pal Edgar lost his position as a leader, some of us began to take notice that he was still staking out our HQ. I was tasked to deal with him and as I dragged him off the premises he asked me if I'd be interested in running to be head of the regions council with him. After some thought I ultimately decided to accept his offer. I was surprised when he said he'd be the one on the sidelines though and not me! He said he'd be just fine with sitting back and letting me take the position so long as he could assist.
Jessica-
Wow, that's a lot ok, ummmm. This Edgar person, I've heard of him, ex-leader and mayor of a small town until recently. Why do you think it was that he wanted you to run for the council with him as your running mate? And there's got to be more to why you accepted his offer. Can you please tell me?
Leo-
WAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You talk to much girly, I was just getting to that. See, not many people know this about me, but in my spare time I was more than just a strong guy who'd fight his pokemon for fun. As you're likely aware, me and Duncan use to work together solving crimes here in the region. Police agencies wouldn't accept the both of us together though so we began our work as vigilantes so to speak. We did far more good than the police in this region ever could have. Problem was, after a certain case, me and Duncan just couldn't work together anymore.
Jessica-
And which would that be?
Leo-
Why, that would be the case about Jasper's poor gal, Carly. Poor kid has had it rough ever since. I ended up dropping my work with Duncan so I could keep an eye on the kid. I've been training him recently with the hopes he can fend for himself if the time is to come again. I'm getting sidetracked, your question was about Edgar, right?
Jessica-
Correct, but please, feel free to keep talking if you want, none of your bios classified you as a man of so many words! Just someone who would WAHA! and be done with speaking.
Leo-
WAHAHAHA! That's another thing that changed with me when I got my position. I've been doing a lot of talking recently, about the changes I plan to bring about in this region. Edgar has been assisting me with all the policy-making, that was part of our deal, he'd work on the political side and get my input for a final policy, and I'd take him on as my partner. As for why I accepted his bargain, well, it's a long story, and I've got very little time as is, so I'll make it short. I've always wanted to be the strongest man alive so that I could protect myself and those close to me. However, there are just some things you can't take down with raw strength like mine alone. That's what Edgar, Jasper, Duncan and the police all helped me to see. It's not enough to just be strong, I need to be at the highest position to truly protect everyone, and that's why I'm here now. I'll change this region in to one we can be proud of, and one we can all know we'll be protected in! Not just for my sake, but for people like Jasper and Duncan and the common folk out there! We will all be strong under my guidance! WAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hello again, everyone! Jessica and Mr. Wiggles are back again bring you another issue of Leader Reveals! I am truly sorry for the wait! I have been quite busy, and the Bracket 5 leaders took it upon themselves to make their presence known... Regardless, I have a special treat for you all. Instead of revealing them one by one; I've decided to reveal them all at once! Like always, each reveal will come with its own interview. The long wait was mostly due to getting in contact with them. Lucifer! He's a veteran to our league, but in case you're new here he's our very own Dark type leader! Lucifer prefers singles, but he's also been know to run triples very rarely. His Mandibuzz is quite the tank, so bring some strong Super Effective moves with you! His ace, Hydreigon is no slacker either. I’ll start off with the basics. Why exactly did you join this league? From what we’ve heard from Jasper you’re all about playing your games and keeping to yourself. So why did you join such a public event such as The Redemption league?

jasper thought it would be good for me to get out more and they needed someone to come in after what happened with the last dude. tho between you and me i think it’s so jasper can keep an eye on me. he became really protective ever since his friend was killed.
Jessica:
Interesting. I guess such an event would cause such behavior. You know, speaking of Jasper; What’s up with those scars?
Jayde:
can’t tell you that. not my place. i can suggest to not pressure me or him about it. if he found out it would get messy. forget my bro ur here for me. keep goin or i’ll just play more mario :/

Right, right. Any particular reason you chose to specialize in Steel types?
Jayde:
not really. i just like metal and think they look cool. some of them remind me of robots so that’s a plus. i could have went with fighting because of ryu’s dual typing, but steel mons appeal to me more.
Jessica:
That’s… surprisingly simple. Ryu is your Lucario, right? Any reason you named him that?
Jayde:
yah he’s named after ryu from street fighter. It fits him. aura sphere kinda looks like a hadouken too.
Jessica:
So it’s a reference to a game. I should have known. You must really like games. Is there anything you do other than sit in here and play video games?
Jayde:
yah sometimes i help nick with work. we’re both really good with tech and i supply silph co. with whatever materials they need. i get paid pretty well for it. they love my stuff dude.

We all know that you work as a Comedian, but what do you like to do when you're not on the job?

Wellllllll... Ever since I got my career off the ground and have had the means to expand beyond that and leader duties, I've been up to quite a few things. I've been doing a lot of gardening with Livi, been hanging around with my old buddy Ken, and finally I've taken up a big interest in battling outside of just being a leader.

Let's slow down and take this one step at a time. Let's start with you and Olivia. How'd you two get together, and have you got any juicy details?
Erwin-
I don't think Livi would be, well, exactly happy if I gave out any "juicy details", but I guess we just came together naturally. Last season we just spent quite a bit of time together and things clicked between us. It also turns out that I've got a pretty good green thumb, my Bug buddies really like snacking on the berries we grow together.
Jessica-
Hmmm, well that's sweet of you two. Now then, you mentioned that you're old friends with Ken? How do you know each other?
Erwin-
We've actually known each other since we were kids! We met way back in 3rd grade and have been good buds ever since. We do all sorts of stuff together, bowling, running, and just hanging out and telling dumb jokes to each other. I wasn't able to see him too often during Season 2 and during the intermission, since he was training really hard in hopes of becoming a Gym Leader. Now that he's achieved that goal we have a lot more time to see each other again.
Jessica-
You sound pretty happy to have your old pal along for the ride. And now, what do you mean about that whole battling thing?
Erwin-
Well since the end of Season 2, my buddies and I have just had an itch for a good battle that we can't just sit back and ignore. I've been taking part in Tournaments, training a lot, and even am challenging another league right now.
Jessica-
Sounds like you're taking this whole battling thing pretty seriously.
Erwin-
Yep! My friends and I wanna keep getting better and better, and we're shooting for the top! Whether we get there or not depends on us, but that's our goal.

Oh hey would you look at that, they actually have battles I can look at this time! Isn't that great! Let's get right into it! Having about an average win loss ratio, Ariel much like Olivia seems to be a jack of all trades; they play in a variety of formats and playstyles. One thing that stays common among all of them is how set up heavy their teams are. I'm talking Aurora Veil, Weakness Policy, Tailwind, Friend Guard, Cosmic Power, Calm Mind, all of that kind of stuff! Not to forget the tried and true Trick Room triples so many of us ADORE(not...). Big thing to watch out for would Clefable, adorable thing that it is, is on the inside, actually a monster. Unaware and Magic Guard make it a defensive threat to behold and it can get very bulky and strong, VERY quickly.

Just like Ariel, he actually has battles to talk about now. He seems to have a large preference for Singles but not a single consistent battling style either. Swinging from stally to offensive type of teams. A consistent member is his ace; Napoleon(What an original name for an Empoleon am I right?)for some of everyone's favorite pebbles. Defiant allows it to quickly shut down defoggers such as Latias that try to remove them too. He doesn't seem to be quite as used to it yet despite a respectable winrate(out of a measly 5 battles.)but water is a force to be reckoned with all the same!

Here's everyone's favourite rock type user, HELEN! With a rock solid winrate to boot, Helen's been on a roll with her battles. All of her usual favourites return, with some fresh new additions in the form of Regirock and Mega Aerodactyl. Funnily enough, right after changing her ace to Aggron, she starts using Mega Aerodactyl like crazy. Returning favourites such as the famous BUTTERLORD(Her Shuckle.)are still doing fantastically. Be sure to watch out for Regirock, in the rare scenario it doesn't miss stone edge, it can easily eat a super effective hit, and sweep with a 1-2 combination of Rock Polish and Weakness Policy! RARE SCENARIO I SAY!

Less than half of Helen's battles but with the exact same winrate, Ken's seemingly showing he's got more skill in him than the previous Dragon Leader! Similar to her, he's a big fan of singles. This fiery young girl is returning for this last season of the redemption league as our last bracket four leader, and as some of you may be aware she heats things up with the Fire type. Emilia comes from the Alola region, and from what I've gathered, she lost her voice in a freak accident one night, but she doesn't want to uh... talk... she doesn't want to spea... She doesn't like the topic. Anyway, Emilia - despite the loss of her voice - has had nothing but a positive outlook on life, and a blazing passion for dancing. Her partner, Charizard, makes for a great companion, sporting a fashionable lei occasionally and looking rather fresh, if I do say so myself. His look almost rivals that of Mr. Wiggles, but enough about all of that. I said I'd be interviewing Emilia somehow, and boy was I surprised on how she answered. Take a look!

???- Huh? Oh, you mean my scars don't you? It happened a long while back when I was performing. Something went wrong on stage and I suffered some serious burning. It's been a long while since then, though, and I'm nearly all better now.
J- Well... I guess that's uh... good to hear then. Anyway, while we're waiting for Emilia, why don't we introduce ourselves? I'm Jess, and my assistant over there is Mr. Wiggles. He's a kind one, but try not to get on his bad side if you can.
???- I see. Well, it's good to meet you, Jess. My name is Axel. I hear you're a leader in the redemption league as well. How's that treating you?
J- It's treating me well, though... Axel... I feel like I've heard your name before.
A- Really? I wouldn't be surprised if you had, after all I-

A- Oh, look who's finally here!
J- Jeez, that was close! My pictures could've broke if they hit the floor! Good catch, Mr. Wiggles.
E- ...
A- Ah, Emilia says she's sorry for nearly destroying your pictures.
J- Oh, no, really it's fine, I've been through much worse than a couple of broken pictures. Well, now that everyone's here we can begin the interview. I'll start us off with a good one. Emilia, soon after arriving here, you signed up to join the redemption league. What was it that compelled you to join our league so quickly upon arrival.
E- ...
A- Emilia says that it she isn't quite sure why she wanted to join. She thought it would be fun and would be a great way to pass the time alongside dancing.
J- I see. Speaking of dancing, Emilia, what was it that inspired you to start a career in dancing?
E- ...
A- Emilia's actually kind of surprised you couldn't just guess this, but she'll answer anyway. Having grown up in Alola, Emilia was always around many fire performers, people who'd breather fire, twirl flaming staffs and of course, dance. Emilia says she always really enjoyed the costumes and dances the performers used based around a fire, and she ended up falling in love with the profession ever since.
J- Yes, I guess I probably could have guessed that huh? Though our viewers might not have been able to. Anyway, next question. Challengers are getting close to being able to challenge bracket four, and it's only a matter of time before we start getting challengers too. Do you have any kinds of tricks up your sleeve and ready for them, Emilia?
E- ...
A- Alright. Emilia claims that she does plan to try some new things this time around, but she says not to get your hopes up too much. If you were used to a bombardment of fire last season and short matches, you won't be too surprised again this season. Fire is pretty consistent in how it acts and performs after all, speaking from my own experience.
J- Interesting... I might have to schedule an interview with you sometime too Axel.
A- Please, I'm not that interesting. I just try and help people out when I can now, really. Now, if you would.
J- Oops, sorry, I forgot why we're actually here today. Hmmm? Ah, here's one for you. I was asked this question the other day by a challenger. Emilia, which leader is your best friend here in the league?
E- !!!-
A- Whoa, Emilia, calm down okay. I know you're excited to see her again, but please focus for now.
E- -...
A- Anyway, I can answer this one for her, no translation for her required. Emilia is very excited to see Helen again. Her bubbly nature and Helen's roaring and upbeat attitude go hand in hand with one another and Emilia can't help but boil over and spill out her feelings when around Helen. Right, Emilia?
E- !!!
A- Ouch, stop hitting me, that still hurts a bit, you know? Anyway, Emilia isn't just excited to see Helen again either. She's happy to be returning to everyone else as well, and is going to do her best to show it.
J- That's great to hear! I hope we can become fast friends too, Emilia. I've only got time for one last question, so answer this one well. There have been quite a few leaders that have left this league in the time it's been running, and I'm most interested to hear your thoughts on a few in particular as you worked with some. Can you read off of this list of names from the previous season and tell me something about each of them?
E- . . . ?
A- Emilia, what's... Oh my...
J- Huh? Is something the matter?
A- Oh, no, it's nothing. Emilia is just a little sad some of them are gone... She's trying to keep me from having to speak about one of them too...
J- Oh? Well, I won't nudge you guys too hard. You don't have to talk about that leader in particular if you don't want to. Oh, and you don't have to speak on types yet to be revealed either, I should've warned you about that beforehand.
A- Thank you. Emi?
E- . . . . . .
A- ...Okay then. Well... That's not exactly nice of you to say about him, Emilia, but I guess I can see where you're coming from. Let's start with the person Emilia is most upset over, Edgar. She's not a huge fan of him at all, says he did a lot of mean things to people and her friends, and has been messing with other leaders outside of the league a lot too. One in particular is-... She doesn't want me to talk about him any longer. Elliot and ... her. Emilia isn't too surprised they left, the two are practically inseparable now at this point. Penelope is... well she's something alright. She's been making a name for herself ever since she left this place, going on digs with Duncan and excavating some newly found ruins. Emilia wishes she could see her again, even if it makes Penelope upset. That's all then, correct?

As I'm sure you're all aware Duncan is a well versed veteran of the Ground type. He loves getting down and dirty so you better watch out for any cheap tricks! I'm just kidding! He also has a brand new partner, Nidoking! I asked him about that, actually, but his answer wasn't very satisfying. If you're curious feel free to pester him about it when you see him! Brief introduction aside; I promised an interview, didn't I? Below are some of the questions I managed to ask along with his replies:

J- Of course, of course! Lets see... hmm. I got it! We'll start off with an easy one! You work as a Gym Leader for Redemption, but as I recall that doesn't really provide a stable income. In fact, we all volunteer so we don't actually get paid for any of this. You must have a way to put bread on the table, so to speak. So, my first question to you is; What is your profession?
D- Call meh an Archeologist aye? Diggie diggie 'oles, findin' meself some real 'ol stuff and 'en linkin' it aaalll together. 'eap of fun.
J- Indeed. That does sound very exciting. You've find yourself a nice job, there. I bet specializing in the Ground type helps you a lot, too. Oh! Speaking of that, it leads me to my next question. You love Ground type Pokemon, and I'm positive you'd want others to feel the same way. After all, that's usually how it goes! So how would you try to get someone on the side of the ground type?
D- I 'unno, dey ain't that speshul most o' the time. t's why I loik 'em oi guess. Bit o' a copout aye?
J- Right. Well, I guess even that is a type of bond! Moving on. Lets see... Ah, I know! Redemption just started but challengers seem to be struggling! The leaders in the higher brackets sit back and observe, that includes both you and me. Since you've been sitting in the shadows observing all the battles; Is there a particular leader that has stood out to you?
D- Oughta be lil' Mira, oi guess. I 'unno why 'ey put 'er down under again.
J- She does seem to prove quite the worthy adversary for our dear participants! She seems even stronger than when you worked with her in Season 2! Ah, that gives me an idea! Is there a leader you worked with previously that you miss?
D- 'ol Festy, dat sword 'o 'is woulda been real noice 'ad I gotta better look at it. Ah well.
J- Oooh, that's interesting! Wait... I was told that Festus was expected to return this season. I wonder if something happened to him? A-Anyway, we should probably wrap this up soon. I have one final question for you, Duncan. I know you're eager to get out of here and all. So, what are some of your hobbies? What does ol' Duncan like to do when he's not battling or digging old artifacts up?
D- Goin' out campin' as well as playin' some nice games o' rugby.

I'll be going over winrates, some interesting battles suggested by your very own leaders, tips and tricks and maybe even more! Since there wasn't one for week 1, I'll be performing double duty today and going over both!
Let's start it all off with the ever so static Electric Leader, Nick!

As usual(At least from what I've heard that is!) the one with the lowest winrate is indeed once again Nick. That being said I've heard that this is a stark improvement compared to his previous years! He's been using a lot of singles compared to his previous tunnel vision on triples! Be prepared for his Golem, dreaded Excadrills! It'll trap you and with an Air Balloon on top, prevent you from using Earthquake for an easy sweep!

With a winrate nearly 20% higher than Nick(Which only really shows how bad he is....or how good Haley is in comparison? Who knows!)Haley's been hard at work making people earn their badges, or get lucky for them! Frequently using triples and doubles, she often employs a strategy revolving around using Tailwind with her Articuno and then overwhelming you with powerful area of effect moves such as the tried and true blizzard spam! Her Snow Cloaked Pokemon also often turn inaccurate moves into a huge gamble to use! Key members are of course Articuno and her Ace, Alolan-Ninetales but one should always keep an on her devious Weavile. Armed with a variety of utility and coverage moves, it's often primed to disrupt large parts of you plans!

And to end off Bracket 1, we've got the adorable ghost leader, Mira!

Following the similarity trend from last season is Mira! Known for being a hard opponent to overcome, she's seemingly completely changed tactics! Her infamously brutal Trick Room triples seems to have mostly been phased out in favor of a more annoying singles playstyle, utilising the many utility moves Ghost types have in their arsenal! A staple is of course her Mega Sableye and Mimikyu, surprisingly however, she's taken to using Mega Banette at times too! Not only that, but she deviously uses even regular Banette as a surprise for those who use powerful dark types such as Tyranitar and Bisharp! Be sure to watch out if you see this tricky creature on Team Preview!

Now moving on to Bracket 2, we don't have much yet as people are just making their way here, but there's still some highlights!
First up is our royal princess themselves, the fairy leader Ariel!

Next is one who hasn't been anywhere near as absent, quite the opposite in fact! Let's get into our favorite grass type user, Olivia!

Sure been taking the lion's share of battles for Bracket 2, haven't you Olivia?! Following her pattern of never sticking to one particular tactic, Olivia's been all over the place as usual! Trick Room, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sticky Web, Spikes! Talk about unpredictable! As for standout Pokemon...just like her playstyles they're all over the place! Venusaur, Virizion, Whimsicott, the list goes on! Her Serperior remains a fierce threat in the end game, just waiting for an opportunity to snowball out of control! Make sure to keep something around to stop it before it goes haywire!

Similar to Ariel, Jasper's had an abysmal amount of battles in comparison to everyone else. What he doesn't have in quantity though, he makes up for in quality! Frequent proponents of his teams include Gallade and Latias! I remember him saying he didn't like or wanted to use it though.....Oh well. Gallade in particular, seems to commonly be using a weird bulky wish set! Clever way to deal with physical dark types such as Tyranitar, I must say! He's also used a really strange Uxie, I've got no way to describe it properly being honest, so I'll let the replay speak for itself.

Similar to Ariel, Fabian has only had a single challenger so far! His style of battling as pointed out by some of the spectators, seems remarkably similar to our old Psychic leader, Edgar. In particular his usage of Slowbro and Slowking. Watch out for the Sharpedo too, even without it's Mega Form, it's a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately that's all I have on him so far.

Hello everybody! I'm the one that will be taking over the Leader Reveals as well as Redemption Weekly. I realize Redemption has struggled to keep good reporters in the past but you don't have to worry as that will not be an issue with me. Why, you ask? Because I'm also a Gym Leader! I love my job both as a leader and as a reporter so you can expect quality work on both ends! I apologize, though, I got somewhat side tracked there. As I was saying previously; I'm taking over Leader Reveals and Redemption Weekly. I'm sure you're all curious as to when the next reveal is along with the first issue of Redemption Weekly. I'm pleased to inform you that both will be this coming Tuesday. I generally try to interview the leader before revealing them but results vary on their personality. Redemption hosts some very peculiar people, so some might not be open to interviews. I'll try my best, though! Redemption Weekly - Week Twenty-Four!
Hi, welcome to the Redemption uhhh… bi-monthly? Hey, better late than never.
Yes, it’s been a while. A huge thanks to my audience for being so patie- wait never mind. Anyways, a lot has happened since last time. I did a couple of interviews live (speaking of, look out for those, more on that below), there have been five more champions, and Jasper quit a bit earlier than the rest of us. That’s why, this time only, I’ll have a segment for each of these events! And I’ll even have a special announcement at the end, so stay tuned.
The interview:
Well if you existed around 3 weeks ago you might have been there for one of those. I asked some questions to our beloved leaders about themselves and their time in this league! It was fun, and we got to know some more about everyone! Aaaaand my Ditto’s in a timeout for a while now. Nothing important aside from that. See for yourself what happened!

The Champions:
Well it’s certainly been a long time, long enough for 6 champions to get their title! Congrats to ndgbcfvb, Nimh, Pyrrhon, DW and Jmanultrax for beating this season! Shoutouts to the first two for beating Oliver in one try too! Can’t say their paths were all the same, they all have some pretty different (sometimes original) teams! Now most are climbing X-League (also known as Naganadel central), and some might just win it. NDG is actually pretty close. We could see the first champions of X-League!
Goodbye Jasper:
If you existed in the lower-middle brackets recently, you’ve probably been inconvenienced by the abrupt departure of our psychic leader Jasper. I guess he wasn’t really a fan of this game in the end. He was still there for the interview, but now he’s focusing on his work with Leo. Because of this, I’m subbing for him as the psychic leader! Wait, then who’s subbing me? If you were live last Sunday, you know who’s replacing me for the time being, but might as well announce it properly:
N0RM! He’s a special Porygon-Z created by Nick to help me out, that’s batting for me while I battle for Jasper! He usually battles like me, using the wide variety of Normal-types out there. Norm doesn’t have much experience, but certainly fits the bill. Though I heard Helen was making some changes to it…

Ken’s making do with the few battles he has. Some are clearly harder for him than others, but he’s been doing alright, with at least one win per player recently. If you know Helen, you know she wouldn’t stay still for two months. In fact, she recently became a professor’s assistant! She seems to be taking this quite seriously, lowering her voice when she’s on the job, but she’s still the Helen we all know and love! With a few more starters to brighten the mood, though. She’s been her usual self as a leader, taking souls with Butter Lord and all, but she’s also featured her casual team a few times! Mountain Man and Butter Lord are guests there, of course, but they’re joined by a Feraligatr, a Tsareena, a Crobat, and a Xurkitree! The last one’s allegedly her christmas tree too, and I… wouldn’t call it safe, to be honest. To sum it up, Helen has a more professional demeanor now usually, but she can still be the life of the party!

If there’s one thing you can’t say about Erwin, it’s that he doesn’t know how to have fun. He didn’t get much of a spotlight in regular league, but he did shine in X-League, mainly from pulling off a MissingNo sweep! About that, I… have many questions. How did he get it? How can he use it? Can it get KOd by mons half its level? The last one is probably a yes. Anyways, it was all in good fun, and it’s to be taken lightly! Anyways, he also showed off an extremely innovative triples core, starring Volbeat and Illumise, and it’s… impractical at best. But hey, it almost worked! Maybe it could use some MissingNo.

Well, Duncan was dethroned, he had a great run as best leader. Well, he doesn’t get many battles nowadays, and when he did, they were from anyone who was stuck on him and could finally get past. But, we’ll see if someone else reaches him, and if they have the guts to go for his badge. But hey, at least he got X-League! About that, you better watch out for his pledges: he’ll use em to turn the arena into a swamp. Be careful, or he’s gonna roll you!

These days haven’t been the kindest for Leo, but he’s still holding up decently, I think. Infernape’s a friend, temporarily locking his opponent’s lead with Encore whenever said lead is outsped (so about 80% of the time), and aside from that, he still tries many different things. And uhh, nothing else to say here, to be frank. He’s a busy man, after all.

We hardly see her these days. Well she only gets out of the house very occasionally, and she doesn’t have many challengers either right now. That’s Bracket 6 for ya. But she did rack up some wins when everyone was still struggling to get past her. Now she can rest, unless someone gets to her before the league ends.

Ah, Venus got back to her old form, after some time. She’s the wall again! Of course, she got a greatly increased winrate from her antics, and not undeserved. Aside from that, she’s still quite sociable in session, albeit being a little too much for some to handle. Just like in battle! But it’s all relaxed, and she doesn’t take it too far usually. Glad she can make time for us!

The man, the myth, the used airplane salesman: Oliver! He’s still living up to his status as champion, holding back the few that get to him, even if only for a while. Unlike the others, he likes to switch formats from time to time, to shake things up a little! Quite refreshing, if you ask me. He has only one challenger in X-League so far, and he’s pulling the stunts we all know and love from him. He’s not the most talkative usually, but he’s been pretty calm and cordial this season.
