I'm known for my luck. When I finally decided to go with my heart and pick up Oshawott, he had his Hidden Ability, 30-31 IVs in the stats that mattered, and a decent nature. I gotta say, not having to worry about crits is nice early in the game during those tackle battles. -
But my heart was stolen by the Oshawott that follows you around trying to show you his shell that he's so darn proud of. Also I had tried for 30 minutes and gave up. I got two shinies in the grass just in the city in a third of that much time (Weedle and Bellsprout).
