I'm known for my luck. When I finally decided to go with my heart and pick up Oshawott, he had his Hidden Ability, 30-31 IVs in the stats that mattered, and a decent nature. I gotta say, not having to worry about crits is nice early in the game during those tackle battles.

But my heart was stolen by the Oshawott that follows you around trying to show you his shell that he's so darn proud of. Also I had tried for 30 minutes and gave up. I got two shinies in the grass just in the city in a third of that much time (Weedle and Bellsprout).
