Hello ! 

 

So i just bought a new laptop and tried to play Reborn on it, unfortunately, the game is lagging way too much to be played in good conditions. I highly doubt this is a hardware problem, (Got an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U w/ Radeon vega 56).

 

I tried to check the option "reduce ingame lag" with F1 button but that makes it even worse. Then i tried to change the windows compatibility and that worked until i left the game, now i got some lag once again.

 

Do you guys know how to fix this problem ?

Well if i'm right, all of the fossils are rock types. A mono rock is already very difficult imo so if i get rid of all of the non-fossils rock types, it's gonna be impossible, or at least not very fun considering this type is very limited in terms of moves and strategy  

 

I think i've made up my mind and i'll go with grass types. I was hesitating between bug and grass as both seems to be fun and difficult at the same time, but Treecko helped me to make a choice (it's one of my favorite mons and it's been a while i didn't use him). To add some difficulty, I'll play in set mode.

@HellBoyOnEarth You're doing a pretty good job man, well done  I could have chosen psychic but I'd prefer a type that's not currently used, even though I still don't know if I'll share my progress here or not.

 

@M4RC Yeah I'm kinda surprised too, grass seems to be very interesting and difficult at the same time, plus I've got a whole bunch of mons I can choose from to build teams and strategies.

At the moment, the winning type is ice - which is my favorite actually - but as said earlier, wouldn't it be too easy and redundant ? I mean, the main strategy would be setting on hail and then rely on abilities such as ice body, slush rush and snow cloak.

 

At first, the most appealing type to me was bug, because I've never used it much, plus there are a lot of bug types in reborn which is pretty cool to build some strategies.

 

I love psychic type too but I don't know whether it's challenging or not, and there's already someone doing a psychic run anyway.

Hey there, It's been a while since I've played Pokemon Reborn for the last time. I would like to start a new monotype run but I can't decide which type to use, so I made a poll to let you decide !

 

I'd like to do a very challenging run which will make me struggle and think, but more importantly it has to be FUN !

 

I just can't decide which type to use considering that, so if you can tell my what type would you choose and why, that'd be much appreciated !

Episode 1 - Welcome to Reborn City !

 

The train will be arrived at Grandview Station in less than 2 minutes. Suddenly, an explosion can be heard What was it? A terrorist attack? I quickly got out of the train and ran through the station before the ceiling collapses.
Outside, I met a girl who turned out to be the manager of the Reborn League, Ame. That would be nice of her if she offers me a Pokemon as well as a Pokedex, new shoes and why not a new smartphone too, but I'm asking too mu...

 

30 minutes later : "Choose whichever you want."

 

So it's time to choose a starter to begin our journey, and I think there's no suspens about who I'm going to pick since the only pokemon who evolves into a flying type is Charmander.

 

Helios, the Charmander

Nature : Modest

Lv.5

 

While Victoria was choosing his starter, a mysterious guy with strange purpled hair approached me, he ends up claiming for a fight, and I'll never say no when it comes to battle.

Not very interesting to comment this battle, Helios used growl to lower his attack and then kept on using scratch until Nidoran is defeated.

 

And after Helios is healed, It's time to fights against Victoria.

The fight was the same as the precedent one, except that Tepig had a critical hit and knocked out Helios.

 

Now it's time to explore the city. I've caught every pokemon that i've encountered so far, and three of them will join the first team :

 

Paradise, the Pidgey

Nature : Hardy

Lv. 2

 

Doliprane, the Caterpie

Nature : Timid

Lv. 6

 

Weakipedia, the Woobat

Nature : Timid

Lv. 5

 

I've also found a shiny Noibat, but I won't keep him as a first team member, it's too weak for the moment.

 

While I was training my mons, I met the vainglorious Fern, who immediatly wanted to challenge me. Unfortunately, my flying-types pokemons were waiting for him !

 

VS FERN

He sent out Lotad while I sent out Weakipedia. Two gusts were enough to take him down.

 

 

Same for Snivy, two gusts were enough to knock it out. (And yes, I know I got luck with crits xD)

 

 

He sent out his ace, Budew, so I've decided to do same and to sent out Helios. He managed to stun me with a stun-spore, but luckily enough Helios took him down with an ember (and a crit, again).

 

Even after being defeated, Fern always tries to found excuses. As this cocky dumbass Fern has suggested to me, I am now heading towards the Peridot gym, but i met Julia on my way, and she told me she needs some help to defeat the ones behind the bombing, who are hiding in a factory. Well, guess i've got no other choice...

Once we managed to break into the factory, we split up and the luck made me team up with the best partner one could possibly have, Fern.

 

I have to admit that I struggled against most of the Meteor members as they almost all got rock types pokemon, well that was until Helios evolved into Charmeleon and learned Dragon Rage.

After unlocking the door of the last room, Fern and me faced the two meteors admins, Eclipe and Aster, while Julia and Florinia took care of the boss.

 

VS ECLIPSE AND ASTER

Well, I first sent out Doliprane, my Butterfree, in order to put Elekid to sleep, but he attacked first and one shot him.

I then sent out Helios.

 

 

Magby took down Fern's Budew, and Helios' Dragon Rage finished Elekid.

 

 

Another Dragon Rage left Magby in the red, and Fern's Lotad finished him.

 

 

Things are now cleared here, it is FINALLY time to go and challenge Julia in order to win my first badge.

 

VS JULIA

I first sent out Butterfree, but Helioptile knocked him out. As an idiot, I tried to put him to sleep but I forgot that the Electric field prevent pokemons from falling asleep.

I then sent out Weakipedia, who avanged Doliprane with a first confusion which has made Helioptile confuse, and a second which has finished him.

 

I really wanted to win this battle properly, so I tried to make it without spamming Dragon Rage, but all of my other pokemons were down without being able to do anything, so I had no other choice...

 

 

 

I forgot to screenshot the second Voltorb but it was quite the same.

 

 

 

 

Electrode required 2 Dragon Rage.

 

As you can see, this battle wasn't very interesting, but only victory does count...

Hi everyone !

 

 I've finally decided to create an account and to introduce myself at the same time.

 

I've discovered Pokemon Reborn a while ago and though I love the game, I didn't get far in the story due to a lack of time, and also because I'm very perfectionist, I like things to get done properly, and that costs me time, yes, even in a Pokemon game, but the most impressive is that even if I've been lurking on this forum for time, I managed not to get spoiled (yet) xD.

 

Well.. i think i'm getting a little too chatty so it's time for me to put an end to this introduction and to wish you a good evening, bye~ !
