  1. This might have been asked before but I tried searching and it did not seem to be; is there a reason Beliaddon is now a female only evolution? It has a very gender-neutral design with very masculine traits, but also very feminine ones. It has a 50/50 gender ratio in the original game, and seeing as it doesn't fully evolve until level 72 and has to wait far longer even to get its best attacks it's not like the pokemon needed to be any harder to obtain. Is it a bug possibly?

  2. Putting everything is spoilers because I wanted to touch on specific things I loved about this update without having to use vague language

    Spoiler

So, I just finished the Celebi quest, and I gotta say that's when e19 really clicked for me. The visual updates everywhere have been and are incredible across Reborn of course, the fights have been insane, everything has been top-notch as always; but, seeing Elias overjoyed to have spent more time with those he knew who are now gone, us the player getting to meet and fight Corey's wife (I'm sorry I already forget her name ;_;) as well as fight Ame and even Shelly as the champion was just such an awesome experience and thus far my personal highlight of e19. And of course most of the other legendary quests have had similar levels of work put into them; plus all of the other little moments such as Lin trying to get the player to release Pokemon from their box during the Zeraora event, which seeing as my entire box is Pokemon I caught for the dex, shinies and/or Pokemon I might switch around into teams; I didn't want to release any and I won the battle of attrition by refusing over and over to which Lin was so upset xD. Honestly I think pretty much all of the update is excellent, I can't think of a single issue...

    Spoiler

...(except that some legendaries cannot be easily shiny reset for without having to do their entire anomaly fight again every reset, or without catching them in glitter balls which are somewhat limited and takes the fun out of shiny hunting; despite the fact that other legendaries, seemingly at random, can be saved in front of or at least don't require getting through an entire battle again per shiny check. It'd be much better and make much more sense to me if there was a chance to save between the anomaly fight and the capture fight.)

But that's the only real issue I've had, and otherwise this update has been incredibly satisfying and well worth the wait. I hope you guys take a nice break from bug fixes and development once e19 goes public and I look forward to what you all do next!

  3. Those are some great shinies, Ven. I especially love the Pidgeot line, I think they turned out great.

I also do shiny edits from time to time, mostly just do minor edits, namely to shinies that add features to the Pokemon design (which I hate) such as Nidoking becoming a robot for some reason or Hydreigon having a "dark aura" around it. I've also converted some custom shinies from Pokemon Glowing Garnet that I liked to sprite form. Most of my completely original shinies I don't think turned out the best, but I've still included most of them.

  4. And so Scyther and Scizor become the last non-legendary Pokemon to become obtainable in reborn (at least as far as their order on the availability list is concerned) beating out every pseudo legendary and a ton of Objectively better Pokemon. I can't say I'm not surprised, I know Scizor is good and that Reborn doesn't pick which Pokemon become obtainable directly based on competitive but I'm still a bit shocked. Scizor? Scizor. Scizor!! Scizor is the last one. Is it because scyther is good on its own and Ame was worried that releasing the line would give us access to two different and powerful Pokemon? Is it because by the time Scizor would have not been over-powered we've hit the last two gyms which Scizor could dominate? Or does Ame just like screwing with us, seeing as scizor is an immensely popular Pokemon and we've been unable to get one while a ton of other trainers have had one? Who's to say.

True. And they're also complaining about the money they get after winning battles. Wait until they see how long it takes for them to be able to buy anything above regular items. xD They're gonna be SO pissed! Haha. Btw, you should do a shiny count just for the hell of it.

I was thinking the same thing, hell, Twit got a shiny Pachirisu in the first episode so that count is already at 1.

Dai Laughing reached titania while playing like a total noob throughout the whole game. Yes thats my personal opinion after watching his gym fights. If  he can do it, then they , with the 5-people safety, can do it even better.

Also I hope they will wait till e18 before doing it

Seeing how long it took them to finish insurgence after the full version came out, e18 has a decent chance of coming out during their playthrough if they start before it comes out.

I just looked over all my npcs, and none of them are selling the ability capsule... Which is weird because I coulda swore I put it in! Well, it'll be in the next release. Unless there's any more critical bugs, I'm not making any more quick patches.

Actually you should double check, I was just looking through all the wares of each salesperson and found the ability capsules being sold by the medicine guy. They can be bought in the Vitamins and wings section.

  8. Spoiler

So spoilers for the path you didn't get (since you saw Taka die you must have had the Reshiram path) but in the Zekrom path Lin herself gets stabbed through the chest by Titania, and lives. So yeah, Lin's even scarier than you just described as it seems she can cheat death.

Can confirm it's been added to Mystery Egg.

Dope, I've been playing a new game to pick the opposite story branch. Too bad I got vullaby for like the 20th time (seriously I never get any of the cool pokemon from the mystery egg)

    It seems I can´t get Gible! I don´t know why :(

Some people have been having issues not finding Gible at all, check to see if maybe it went to a different food bowl and not the center one, be sure not to scare it away, then try falling through a different hole that lands you on top of that food bowl. I don't think I've heard of gible not going to the center bowl, but it's certainly possible.

  11. Not quite yet, the old event/ location list will need to be updated, which can't fully be done because 1) we still don't know where everything is yet, especially a lot of the gen 7 mons who may have events earlier in the game (I guarantee you there's got to be a way to get wimpod before Reborn city gets a makeover, but no one has any idea what that may be) and especially the gastly line, I haven't seen anyone ask yet but I don't think anyone knows what limited event can give you gastly; and 2) the people making event and encounter gudies all want to wait until e17 goes public. in the mean time there's still a bunch of partial lists and topics with people asking what is available and where, and most of the new additions have been discovered in their post Reborn city makeover locations.

  12. Spoiler

Once you gain access to the floor with all the food bowls, fill as many of them as you can, and make sure you fill the one in the center as that is where Gible is likely to spawn. Afterwords leave that floor, I don't know if you can be warped back to the floor right above with the button statue because when I did it I was warped back to the start of the cave. Regardless head back to the floor where you can warp to the bowl room (make sure it is daytime!) then fall through the warp hole that looks like it's in the center of the room (it's not in the exact center but it looks like it) this should drop you right behind the Gible, startling it into attacking. You should even be able to save before going through the hole so you could reset for natures and shininess if you want. I can't 100% confirm if Gible always spawns in the center bowl first but that's what most people are saying and it worked for me first try. Hope this helps!

However unlikely it is, you can actually win a Master Ball from the lottery in Onyx Arcade if all five of a Pokemon's ID numbers match. So maybe not hacked.

This is true, though really it'd help to know what pokemon were in the masterballs as there aren't any legendaries available yet so unless it's a shiny pseudo or a shiny of a pokemon with teleport/selfdestruct I don't see why they'd waste a masterball. Any chance you could tell us what you recieved @Pozyher ?

As i was wondertrading i came across a couple mons that their pokeballs were like the reborn symbol.Does anyone know where i can buy them?

Those mons are likely hacked, that's the special reborn skin for the master ball, similar to how the rare candy has a new sprite in reborn.

Edit: Realized I never answered your question, no where, you cannot buy master balls believe it or not

You will need Strength + Tailwind to fully navigate the jumping puzzles, the wild Talonflame will use it if you're willing to wait a few turns/potions

You need Power Gem + Earthquake/Drill Run to mess around with the crystal field/keys to get there; there's also a Rock Climb ridge at the end that you have to finish the episode to access

    Spoiler

We don't get access to rock climb at the end of the episode though, we get the badge to unlock it but Ame decided to not actually unlock it for us, even if you get a Pokemon who learns rock climb naturally it can't use it.

  16. Spoiler

So after I beat e17 with my normal save (I had the Zekrom path so it didn't take too long) I started a new save to enjoy the changes to the game as a whole and also to choose the other branch of the story. I have just encountered the replacement to the Peridot ward Panpour/Wingull event. The event now has a Pokemon feeding on the electricity in the building. I have two questions/points of discussion regarding the change. 1) is this where you get grubbin, because if so it seems like there is a clear better Pokemon to get here, that being Joltik, which leads me to 2) Joltik seems a bit OP to get this early in the game. Joltik wasn't available until route 1 in e16, but here you can get it right at the beginning of the game (so long as you have stormy weather). Sure Joltik itself is a weak Pokemon, but Galvantula is very good, and Joltik doesn't have a bad moveset at all for early game. It also makes getting grubbin seem somewhat dissapointing, because even though Vikavolt is a really good pokemon if used correctly, I'm assuming charjabug evolves in the same place as magnezone, which cannot be unlocked without the Yuryu (I may have butchered that spelling) key that is obtained late in the game. Of course if Charjabug has a different evolution location or Grubbin isn't available here this isn't a problem as you get a guaranteed decent special attacking electric type, but I haven't seen anyone confirm where to get grubbin early-game yet so who knows

  17. Spoiler

I don't know if this is a bug or intentional, but Amaria didn't use a mega during our battle, and I fought her 3 times. I'm assuming, if she's supposed to have a mega, that it would be Swampert, seeing as it's the only Pokemon capable of mega evolving on her team.  This issue could be more than her not mega evolving it though, it also only goes for dive. I'm sure this thing knows ice punch because its only weakness is grass but it only uses dive. Despite out-speeding my Sceptile it just keeps diving. I should add that this is her single battle format and that my team was: Sceptile, Ampharos, Ferrothorn, Vikavolt, Lapras, and Hydreigon (If you are wondering there is (or was, it may have been patched out) an exploit to allow you to trade yourself or have a friend trade you a third dark matter to get Deino, that's why I have an unavailable Pokemon).

Not long ago, Amethyst wrote a daily message in dev blog about episodes being 19. Also, first thing i asked when i got here, was the number of episodes. Old timers round these parts, said exactly the same thing, back then. It is safe to assume we get two leaders per episode remaining... Next episode Scyther and Pseudos, final legends mythicals ultras and final content. I hope, at least. Amethyst was a prankster once or twice, before...

Okay, that makes sense. Yeah I'm sorta new to the forums, in that I only found them last February and my time browsing them fluctuates heavily between like five times a day to like 3 months without checking them once, so I didn't know. But in that case I'm even more hyped for e17 because we get to fight two gym leaders!

  19. I don't know if we'll be fighting Titania and Amaria in e17, as far as I'm aware each episode lets you battle one gym leader, the reason we're approaching episode 17 and not 15 is that two of the gym leaders died and we didn't get their badges. If we do get two gym battles then that would mean e18 would be either the last episode or the last one with gym leaders before having a final episode just for the end of the meteor arc/ e4 and champion. But seeing as if it went by one gym leader, knowing no other gym leaders will be killed off, we'd have an even 20 episodes (again barring a special "final" episode), I feel it's more likely we won't fight Amaria (unless Ame just really wants to get this game finished fast so she can finally move on).
