If you don't care about Ivs, i have all 5 ready. Just trade me something useless! send me a request. ldsilva

Thank you very much! I don't know why I typed Larvitar twice lol. I probably meant Archen but it's okay, I'll find one myself. Thanks a lot, hope you like the two shinies :]

  2. Hey luis, I'm looking for Cleffa, Larvitar, Sneasel, Larvitar, Pichu (if it's the Volt Tackle version, otherwise Joltik) and Skiddo. I don't need them to be high IVs, not even 5IVs if you don't have them handy, just the Pokémon, if you could trade them that'd be amazing. I know you don't really want anything, but I have a couple spare shinies that I have multiple of that I can trade. Thanks in advance :]

My plan is as follows.  Remove existing hard drive and insert it into a dock on my desktop and run diagnostics on it to check the state of the drive.  If nothing is wrong, I am gonna be installing the OS.  If it still has problems, I'm gonna be installing a new hard drive with a system recovery installed on a partition.  He said the OS was completely installed so I'm betting it's a bad hard drive.  He said the laptop was refurbished but as we all know, people lie to make a buck.  So I'm gonna check the drive and go from there.

Sounds good to me, good luck!

  4. I'm guessing either incomplete installation and/or faulty drive, yes. I'd format the usb stick / dvd-rw (or get a new one if not rewritable) and put Win7 on it again and then retry the installation, or, if available, try the stick / dvd on another machine. If it fails to install on another machine, format and retry. If it fails after re-copying the installation files on the stick / dvd, probably faulty drive. Do you have a spare hdd to test it on?

Edit: I've had the same problem too but I don't recall the exact problem. I know for a fact I fixed a friend's desktop recently where he had a very similar issue (sometimes the pc loaded up the os, sometimes it didn't) and I tested his hdd and turned out it was basically dead. Couldn't salvage anything, just told him to buy a new one and bring it to me. Reinstalled the os without a problem and has worked since.

Personally, I enjoyed Desolation much more than Rejuvenation, but they're really different games.

Rejuvenation: Great story, slightly dark at times, Pokemon battles are a major point of the game, and there's a lot of content to play through as it's already at episode 8.

Desolation: Fantastic story, overall can be very dark (if you reach the end of the current episode, you'll know why,) Pokemon battles are more of "Oh, it's there" and really, the game could do without battling altogether as it's gameplay is heavily focused on the story. There's a decent amount of content, and more around the corner as episode 4 is going to be released soon.

I could be missing a bit from Rejuvenation as it's been a while since I've played it, but that's the main points of the two games.

Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to Desolation then. I'll go for that one first. I like a challenge (I'm very, very and I mean very competitive) but I like good plot more :D

  6. It depends. If you are using it on a Pokémon that uses an attacking move, and Sucker Punch is failing, then yes, this is most likely a bug. As others have mentioned, if you are using Sucker Punch on a turn where the opponent does not go for an attacking move, then it is supposed to actually fail, like you are experiencing. In other words, if you use Sucker Punch and the enemy does not try to attack you (for instance, he uses a move like Taunt or Will-o-wisp, which are not damage dealing moves, as in they do not have a "base power"), then yes, it has to fail. Sucker Punch should only work when the opponent goes for a damage dealing move, like, for example, Blaze Kick, or Pound. I hope this explains it for you.

Very solid team, only recommendation is to give Greninja a modest nature. Also you can get Stealth Rock for Mamoswine in the move tutors in Peridot Ward (after going back to Reborn City).

Agreed on Stealth Rock, but for in-game purposes I'd keep Mild to be honest. Greninja has low base defense either way, if he ever wants to use a physical move it wouldn't be as penalized as he'd be with a Modest nature. If op makes up his mind and goes full special though (I realized this makes little sense because he already has a fully special moveset, what I meant is "if he's sure he'll never use any physical move"), then yes, Modest is by far the best choice.

The team is fairly solid, just pointing out you lack a Fairy, Rock and Flying resist. I'd get a Steel type Pokémon to add in your rotation which fills this role perfectly. Other than that, the team is very, very good.

As others have mentioned, you could replace Trick Room with something else (is Focus Blast in-game yet? I don't remember), you could check move tutors and the move relearner.

Talking about coverage, you lack a Ghost, Poison, Rock, Bug and Electric move. I'd say you could teach Gardevoir Thunderbolt instead of Trick Room to get that sweet sweet Electric coverage, the rest of the moves is kind of negligible (although Rock is very cool offensively, especially Rock Slide in double battles. I was thinking about Aggron for your team to be honest, fits nicely with the resists - quad resists Flying, resists Fairy and Rock - and has stab Rock too).

Super Pokemon Eevee Edition is good too, but beware that the gameplay is a little different from a classic Pokemon

It's such a great game, one of my favorites really. I am waiting since Oct 2015 for an update though. He seems active on his twitter so I'm hoping for an update soon.

Pokemon Zeta/Omicron is a complete fan game, but might have one of the worst plot lines and flat characters out there, so be warned. I'd recommend staying away from that one.

I played Zeta and I liked it, it's not as deep as Reborn nor as engaging as Insurgence, but it's a nice overall game I'd say, plus it's complete. I'd give it a try, op.

I want another fan game with a dark storyline, with likable characters and Good writing.

    Any Recommendations?

About this, which one would you recommend between Rejuvenation and Desolation? I played Insurgence and Reborn, but I don't know which one to start (first) of these two.

If you are desperate enough, this is definitely a solution^^^

Agreed. But I feel like the op would know as well. 139 hours are a lot, I almost lost my 95+ and was going to cry (I had literally just bred two or three shiny Charmander - spent hours with the speedup thingie on IRL - when power outage comes into play, apparently none of my backups worked either. Desperate, I reextracted the game, and it worked for some reason). Mine is a different issue though, pretty sure. @Rainlove I know it's not much, but I could give you one of the Shiny Charmander I bred and almost lost :) PM or just reply here to let me know.

That is as close as you can get, just say no to Blake all three times and Aster will confront you and give you the Waterfall HM after you beat him, go back to Charlotte's town to Eclipse's house and talk to her father and their dialogue should change.

Alright, thanks a lot for the help! I might ask you for more camels soon... for obvious reasons (bit off topic but whatever). I think this can be closed then!

  11. 10 minutes ago, Cronos5010 said:

Well technically the whole series of events that leads to you getting the Shiny charm is before T3RR4, so you should be fine, and yes I think that is before the dive puzzle, have fun with the sliding tile puzzle in the circus by the way, also check if you can use Surf, I think you need to beat Charlotte to be able to use Dive, and then you can go to the icy city and beat up Blake.

I found a save file directly in front of Shelly before confronting with Blake (where he asks you the ring for waterfall). Is this one as close as it gets? If so, I might just redo the story from here and be done with it.

  12. 17 minutes ago, Cronos5010 said:

Preferably a save file that is just after the P.U.L.S.E. Dive puzzle, and there really isn't a way to transfer Pokemon between save files without trading I'm afraid.

I just opened a save file where I saved in front of Charlotte (I have the Ruby Ring, in fact) which is before the Dive puzzle, right? I talked to the father and he said the same thing in first post... Am I doomed?

I mean, it shouldn't say that, right?

  13. 33 minutes ago, Cronos5010 said:

Maybe you can ask someone to hack it in, but basically yeah, do you have a backup that you can use to go back to the whole Blake thing? and a trusted friend who you can ship off the shinies to for a moment?

Hacking it in is a cheap way through though, I could maybe do it myself via googling but that is... well... cheap and unintended imo (if I reach that point, I can probably do it myself, let's say).

Nobody I know plays reborn, so no about that, but I do have a save file before Blake for sure (I have 350ish backups lol), which one do you suggest? Like, how many badges, or before which event. And is there a way to transfer Pokémon between save files without actually trading? I remember doing that with like Emerald on pc, using Pokésav. Is there something like that for Reborn?

  14. 18 minutes ago, Cronos5010 said:

Yeah that sounds like you didn't battle Aster, you actually need to battle him once more to get that shiny charm, so yeah, you messed up.

Basically I have to re-do the whole story? That is lame. I hope it'll be available some other way too, game's too long to just "power through" one more time... Plus I don't really wanna lose some of the shinies I found, sigh. Thanks for letting me know though, I now know I can do nothing other than restarting the playthrough at least.

  15. 24 minutes ago, Cronos5010 said:

To get the Shiny charm, you need to say no to Blake three times, battle Aster for the Waterfall HM, and go back to Eclipse's house, you have done that right? I think the sidequest was.. E15?

I think I did... I do have the Waterfall HM but I don't remember if I got it from Aster (I finished E16 with all sidequests by the way, except renovations which I'm currently waiting on),

although if I remember correctly I did not get it from Blake, and that's the only other way... I'm confused.

    The father says

    Spoiler

"There's no way Caitlyn would be dead, you scoundrel! Play your pranks elsewhere!"

    and when approaching the room

    Spoiler

"Ahem. That is my daughter's private quarters. I would appreciate if you did not disturb it." and pushes me back.

All the evidence points to me fucking up somehow somewhere in the story... sigh.

  16. Hey people, I'm having problems with the shiny charm sidequest. I know it originated way before e16, my file is either e14 or e15 (not sure how to check), point is (spoiler for... possible spoilers? I guess?):

    Spoiler

    Spoiler

    Shiny Charm
If you answered No to all of Blake's demands about the Ruby Ring, visit the house of Eclipse's father in Calcenon after defeating Blake and find it in Eclipse's room

Straight from the item guide. Now that would be fine and dandy, if it worked for me.

It's been a long time since I reached that point in the story (roughly a year and 2 months) but I'm pretty sure I said no every time.

I'm not the kind of guy who ever says yes to villains, hence it should be working.

I'm thinking maybe my save file is a bit weird like that (also had the Silver Ring problem, so I wouldn't be too surprised if this were to be a bug too).

Or, I did say yes and just forgot about it, that would be my bad.

    Now for the question(s):

    1) Will there be any other way to get the Shiny Charm? I really, really don't want to restart my save just to get an item, as important as that is (I know I can keep a backup and start a new one without erasing it, but man, it's not the same thing, you feel me?).

    2) Is it possible that the sidequest just... bugged out, like the Silver Ring in the items bag business?

    3) Isn't it a bit... too "harsh" to not allow you to get such an important item for an in-game choice (by mistake in my case, because screw villains)?

    Thanks for reading through this.

I wrote down in my notes : "Lost girl in the slums directly south of Obsidia when you come from the Opal ward". Sorry if I was not clear, that must not be the slums per se but an alley in Obsidia.

I do not know where the 15th volunteer is.

If you mean the sidequest with Klefki and the sanctum masterkey, you get some backstory for Elias and a dark material, which has no known use as of EP 16.

Not every house underwater can be opened now, but we will be able to get more keys in future episodes. For other sidequests, there is this topic :

You can get the Shiny Charm in EP 16, but you have to trigger a special scene with Aster inside Eclipse's house. I do not know how to trigger it, I think you had to fight Aster on Ametrine to make him quit Team Meteor, but maybe there is something else ?

    Spoiler

OHHH! I thought I had that girl too! I had talked to everyone before activating the quest and was so sure I had that girl too. Turns out it was the last one, xe gave me all the rewards, I'm happy :] Thanks again!

Yes, I got up to that point and took the dark material too, I actually forgot who that blind man was when reading it, it's been too long ahah. Good to know though that it "ends there" for now.

That's a relief, my completionism was like "baka, you missed some houses for sure" even though I went in and out at least 4 times with itemfinder in the 3 areas in every house, lol. Thanks for the link, I'll check that out.

Regarding the shiny charm, I checked around a lot but apparently nobody knows what to do. I don't remember if I did fight Aster or not, at this point I'd need to replay the whole game ahah, I might consider that when I complete e16. I'd just like to start breeding with that added shiny chance, you feel me? Seems weird no one on the forums knows about it. Thanks for everything else, really helped me out, 'bout to fight Adrienn now :)

There is a bug catcher in the north of Beryl, and a girl in the Obsidia slums that are not listed on that post

    Spoiler

I thought I already had the bug catcher but apparently I didn't (I think I talked to him before activating the quest, thus not being counted). I can't find the girl in the slums and I don't think I talked to her, does she require special conditions to meet? Do you recall the position perhaps? I went through the slums twice and can't find her (maybe I did get her already? who knows). Thanks though, really thought I had that bug catcher. And if anyone else knows about the last one, I'd appreciate hints :P (I double checked just to be sure and Adrienn doesn't give me all the items, so I must've missed the girl and the last guy or just the last guy, either or).

Edit: I am pretty damn sure I have the girl in the slums. I triple checked every room, including the puzzles. Everything. So now the question is about the last guy/girl, I'm assuming. Wow this is hard.

Edit n2: I did the full (question mark...?) sidequest up until the sanctum key, and I went in the room, read the stuff and got the field effect thingie. Is there more to it? Because it didn't seem that way to me. Does it "end there" for that sidequest? Bouta do the other ones in the mean time anyway :] Also, is there a way to open all the houses underwater? I can't seem to find any more keys. I got the ring and found some TMs, a Mudkip, and uhh not much else. Also got Audinite and Glalitite or however it's spelled. Is there anything else there to do?

Edit n3: Is there any way to get the Shiny Charm in e16? Eclipse/Caitlyn?'s father doesn't let me reach her room because "there's no way that she's dead".

To check if you have found all the volunteers, you can save before talking to Adrienn : if you have found all 15, xe will give you wise glasses, an ability capsule, a star piece and you will get +2 relationship with Adrienn.

As for where they are, I found this after a quick search on the forum :

    Spoiler

Hey, thank you both, I in fact did notice that post before asking here, but I got all the ones listed there, plus one more (in a back alley in Peridot, in case anyone's wondering), I tried to talk to Adrienn and xe gave me the wise glasses only, so I'm clearly missing some (3?). Do you know the positions of the 3 (?) remaining (or however many I'm missing)? I'd also appreciate general hints if you prefer it that way. Just to not re-check the whole city one more time, I like exploring but it's getting boring :]

Go to this thread and post your save file there, too:

The staff will eventually send the silver ring to the key items.

Thank you man! Got my save fixed, bless staff.

I have one more question though :]

    Spoiler

I have read on the forums that the "helpers" for Adrienn are 15 total. Is that true? I definitely found more than 5, probably 10 or so, but I'm not sure if I found them all. Is there some place with all the locations? I've searched far and wide, I'd just like to check if I got them all, and get the rest if not. I am a perfectionist, I really don't want to proceed if I didn't find them all :[
