  1. Great Game. Some of the bosses were weak AF tho. The spider who lured you with your head in particular.

Just a reminder for those who don't know, you can attack downwards while jumping and that will let you bounce off spikes/other hard places.

  2. Wait, once you get to over half of the total badges collected, the game starts getting easier. The availability of useful TMs,, strong pokemon, strong items and the money to invest into making your pokemon perfect trivializes it.

The only late game gym leader I had trouble with was Charlotte, and that was my own fault for stubbornly sticking to a team that focuses on my preferred aesthetics instead of actually using strong pokemon.  There's way too much grass or bug types on my team (Lilligant, Roserade, Serperior, Vivillion, Masquerain, Lurantis, Tsareena) , the water types were countered by the field and I had no Ground types at all. By contrast the Terra fight I sweeped with Contrary Serperior.

    Anyone else was a cakewalk.

It also may be me but I never experienced a streak of unlucky rolls like you seemed to have.

  3. I like Reborn's event system better than Rejuvenation. It's certainly feels good when you stumble upon an event pokemon. The help center in Rejuvenation stripped out that fun.

The best sidequest was the sidequest to get Beldum.

  4. I'm gonna go with Adrienne. Weakass character who can't properly decide between either Radomus or El. Just pick a side dammit, no need for pussyfooting about.

On top of that, his team was a pushover, his gym puzzle is a non-challenging joke (all you gotta do is talk to everyone), and he seems way too much of a Gary Stu.

Like seriously? he gets back to the city and somehow the city is magically fixed? 10 years without him and the city stagnates, and about half a year with him back and the city flourishes? Blegh

And the NPCs can't stop praising him.

    It's annoying.

Fern and Blake are hilarious, and at least they have real flaws like real people.

Edit: Why the hell did someone edit my post?

Don't edit my post please. I'll use whatever pronouns as I like.

  5. I don't see the problem with Metagross not performing on certain gyms, It's still immensely useful for non-gym stuff (Blake and the Meteor Boss run) and it doesn't need to outperform everyone else on the harder gyms, they just need to not overshadow other pokemon on the earlier gyms. pokemon considered overpowered are overpowered because they are versatile or they outperform everyone else available on their niche. Besides if you were willing to get a competitively viable Metagross, (probably a moveset that allows it to set up like Agility) they can still steamroll through the gyms you mentioned with ease, (Maybe not Charlotte)

  6. So I'm not sure if this was fixed, but mega stones previously obtained in E16 does not automatically move to the new Crystals tab in the bag. You need to equip them onto a pokemon and then unequip them. But it has the added side effect of duplicating the item. I found out since I was frustrated looking for Mega Stones only to find out that I already had them and I was wasting my time haha.

  7. The same thing is gonna happen if we let overpowered mons for that part of the game stay though. By forcing people to get a mon they won't otherwise get, they might even start to like it. If anything, your argument just proves that overpowered pokemon has to move to later parts or it trivializes early gyms.

Besides, the early game experience is fine. It truly feels like Reborn was a godforsaken place with everyone out to get you.

So now we get beldum after the 14th gym.

I can understand the dev wants people to use other pokemons that are normally not used and not just use OU pokemons. But seriously moving every pokemon further into the game just because it performs well is not by any means a good decision.

Reborn already has a huge lack of good TMs.We had to wait until Terra just to get TM bulldoze whereas at that point we should be getting TM earthquake.People are basically going to older episodes just for TM breeding.

    Let's look at Metagross.A psychic/steel type pokemon.So it's useful against poison,ice,rock,fighting,fairy.

We already could only use it against the fairy and fighting gym.

But starting from this episode,it no longer has any usefulness. We can only use it against Hardy(in future episodes) and who wants to bet that all 6 pokemons of Hardy will have Earthquake.

Once reborn is completed, who in the world is going to train a level 5 beldum(which is already hell because of how hard it is to catch) after 14 gyms. The only reason people are training new pokemons onw is because people are bored while waiting for each episodes. But once completion, people has no reason to even buy pokeballs after that many gyms.

What I basically trying to say Reborn has 18 gyms so sooner or later some pokemons will do better at some gyms but that does not mean to move the pokemon further into the game. For example,I finally finished the Corin rogue event and immediately the magikarp goes into the pc because I feel zero incentive to use it.

Yes and it's working as intended then. Either you don't bother to train the better pokemon and end up using different mons compared to a traditional pokemon game. Or you only get to use the good stuff against harder content.

  9. 1. Whimsicott, if only because my stall team in Showdown never has any way to deal with it when it shows up.

    2. Marshadow, because it's existence means I can't troll AG reliably with the Baton Pass team. Others bemoan it's stat steal, but wha'ts more annoying is how it goes through substitute.

    3. Garchomp, with Lum Berry and sword dance as a lead. Can't count how many times my stall team lost to this lead. annoying because I can't predict If I should mega evolve M-Sableye first turn or stick with prankster.

    4. Excadrill. I run M-Sableye to prevent Stealth Rocks on my team. This fucker ignores it with mold breaker. Also, will reliably kill my Unaware Clefable.

    5. Other pokemon with Magic Bounce. Can't stall reliably against other Magic Bounce users.

I noticed people here hate on stall, I'm just gonna say that I'm enjoying feeding on your salt.

  10. If it's available, I always opt for a female Gardevoir as early as possible.

I usually limit myself to Pokemon I think are cute/pretty/beautiful. Also, all pokemon I train must be female.

In fangames, I try to get Optimal IVs and EVs as soon as breeding becomes reasonable. (As soon as I have a ditto and either a destiny knot or the power items)

I only catch shinies if they actually make the pokemon better aesthetically. Otherwise, I don't bother catching them.

Rare candies are used as I get them.

Always have a large amount of the strongest repel I have.
I don't use HM slaves, so I get weird movesets in older generations. Thankfully averted here.

  11. I defeated this leader by using my Roserade to set up toxic spikes and then using Mismagius to hex them to death after one nasty plot. this gym leader is very susceptible to ghost types imo especially if u can use hi trick room against him
