In the Nature center in Route 1 you can look through the binoculars.
When you look with the third from the left, it says: "Through the binoculars, a small city can be seen. There's no activity whatsoever. The streets are entirely empty."
I think it's Agate.
But after E18, the city is not "empty", and there is activity.
Maybe it is not Agate? Or the "dialogue" with the binoculars has to be changed?

Or an iron pokèmon like forretress, which is a bit tanky, has some good iron move, maybe zap cannon to paralize and bug bite against psichic pokèmons. It has a lot of resistences and only fire is x4 effective against it. -
The only way, I think, is to have a dragon with endeavour, like axew, drampa or Jangm-o (I'm not sure, but maybe in Agate Circus someone can teach it), an item which works like sturdy, and a move with high priority. Unfortunately, even if axew, drampa and jangm-o can learn endeavour, they don't have a move with high priority.
Or you can get a large amount of cotton candys by trade and wait for Garchomp to end every move it knows. Then he'll die for struggle.

I agree.
I used a Lanturn (with Ion deluge), a Swampert and a Silvally (steel type).Hardy didn't use a single ultra potion. Neither when he could.
But honestly, also with Amaria I found no difficulty. I beat her with a Walrein (with blizzard, to change the field) and then a Shedinja. No other pokèmon.
So, the third last gym leader was pretty weak, for me.

I simply paste that file in the save folder, and the NPC keep saying:"Let me just copy this information real fast. Won't take too long!
..."
And... nothing else.EDIT: I am stupid. I tought it was the save folder. Instead, it's the folder called "Data".

You also can get a Wallrein, so use Blizzard when the field is overheated, than Rhydon with sandstorm when Charlotte sends Ninetales.
