[How did you do your Mono-Type run?]

I have completed monoruns in steel, ground, dragon and psychic and fighting up to ciel. I have mostly bruteforced my way in all other runs of pokemon games, but needed some more in depth tactic for monoruns.

Dragons was a pain in the ... with only having access to noibats until quite late in the game was no fun. Becomes easy when you get evolved dragons. Not recommended.

Steel was quite hard, especially Charlotte, so empoleon became the MVP of that run. 

Ground was okay, some struggles here and there, but nothing too painful.

The easiest of my completed runs was psychic, with access to a lot of different types and many of these quite powerful as well.

Fighting stopped at Ciel, as her archeops outsped all of my pokemon and one shotted. This was my first run however with very little tactics, so this should be possible with some more tactics and planning ahead. 

 

For what is an easy start to the monoruns for your part, I think dark, psychic and poision should be fairly ok, access to lots of different pokemons from the start. Ice as you mentioned would be "almost" impossible as you will only have a vanilite for a while.

[[Known] Ditto as Aegislash]

I battled against Ditto with my Aegislash, it transformed to my defensive stance, and set up a few rounds, but when it used an attacking move, it transformed back to a picture of ditto, although it was still an aegislash, since Shadow Sneak could hit it. It seemed to just be a visial bug.

Okay, there's two paths beyond the lake to the south. The first one is directly south of the lake that's the one you want. Go down the rocks there, then head south again until you see more rocks going down and to the left. You'll arrive at a second lake. The place you are looking for is directly west of that. You'll know something's off when you see it.

Have you figured what move to use when you go up the waterfall to change the field in order to go up the next waterfall? I tried blizzard but it didn't work. I'm to talking about the place in route for in which upon entering it says "a chill  spreads through the air"

I'm having the same problem as you. Pretty sure I have explored all of the rock climb places in route 4, can't find Hardy again.

I wanted to see if it was possible to do with the low amount of dragons in the start. It was extremely hard in the beginning, but after Serra it became easy due to the sheer power of the upgraded dragons.

I'm far from an expert, but from what you have in your boxes, I'd say Swoobat, Camerupt, Nidoqueen, Claydol, maybe even Alola Sandslash? can do a great job.

I did a dragon monorun, 6x noibat until mystery egg,  5x noibat + 1 axew until Serra. Good times  Don't use noibat unless you have to

I found fortress extremely good here, as you can spam spikes, and they shoot up at the enemies, and fortress has steel typing and immune to poison. You can find them at headbuttable trees in mr flower's garden or what he is called
