can u make the nature guy so we can choose the nature,  in stead of restarting untill the wanted nature?

if you have the newest version there is a guy outside of the nature guy's room that allows you to set a specific nature.

Hi! Are there any plans to actually make that warp-from-start-menu thing, or has it been integrated already? I don't see any mention of it on the first post. This mod would make my EV training life so much easier, but I'm currently at a point where I can't access the Great Hall for plot reasons.

EDIT: Never mind whoops. I went reading through the thread, this feature was enabled! Thank you! Your mod is excellent, I'm going to use it from the start for my next playthrough. (To clarify though - you can't use vanilla Reborn files and carry them over to Sandbox Mode, right? I just tried and it doesn't seem to work.)

you can you just need to replace Game.rxdata from your reborn folder and copy it to the sandbox folder

  3. Hello everyone Stompa here to bring you a mono run using Ghost types as voted for by you guys. Here is the first part everything up to and including Julia.

    Spoiler

Spoiler tag for 'special battle' time stamps

    Spoiler

    8:19 Cain

    10:07 Victoria

    41:25 Fern

    53:14 Aster & Eclipse

    1:00:11 Julia start

    Spoiler

1:15:43 I go and get Golett. Now I know that i was going to get Golett after the first gym but I ran into the Oricorio brick wall and needed something else and even with the type advantage it wasn't perfectly smooth sailing.

Next time I take on PULSE tangrowth and try to take out Florina. Next time I will make the individual episodes shorter and upload several at once rather than one massive episode but I didn't realise how long this had gotten until I finished. If you want me to just upload the shorter episodes on their own just let me know.

EDIT 1:for people that missed the poll I am using sandbox mode. It can be found in 2 coments down

  4. For araquanid once you get to 57 liquidation should replace bubble beam and at level 45 lunge should replace bug bite but other than that it is alright.

for gardevoir you should try to change the ability to trace as it is a much more versitile ability. for moves calm mind over wish can be good or if you already have alot of grass coverage in the rest of your team calm mind over magical leaf and keep wish so that you can use it to heal as you buff up. another option is misty terrain which you need to use the move relearner for but can sometimes be very useful in disrupting gym teams that use/rely on specific terrain. as for items it depends on what moveset you are using if you go for the more offensive moves then an item that can buff the damage can be nice or if you use the terrain an amplified rock is almost necessary.

For my first monorun, I've hesitated between Dark Type and Flying Type. Even if I enjoy the dark side a lot, there are some interesting possibilities with aerial Pokemon too, and even more with Toucannon who became available with Episode 17. Also, I've learned how Swoobat was underrated in the game, cause it's one of the few mons to learn Calm Mind by evolving. So, I would definitely recommend it to you. Julia is the only true pain to counter in the beginning, the rest should be easier to deal with.

well seeing that the only fully evolved flying starter is charizard and carmander learns dragon rage at 16 and charmeleon at 17 the early game is laughably easy

If I went with Gardevoir, would it be wise to swap out Starmie for a different Water type since Gardevoir will cover my Psychic Type? Perhaps Barbaracle or Araquanid?

I think its ok to have the 2 psychic types because you have several other pokemon that cover their weaknesses.

  7. OK I have edited the Poll to include dragon cause I messed up and somehow dragon got missed or deleted and I didn't realise. If you have already voted and wanna change to dragon (or anything else) make a reply with what you originally voted for and what you want your new vote to be.

  8. Hello everyone Stompa here with another mono run. Some of you will remember me from my dark run or my (very short lived) grass run.

This is one that I want you guys to vote on and I would like to know in what way you want me to present it.

I have removed the types I don't want to use or am not comfortable using in a play though.

Now for the types that have very little or nothing at the start of the game I will be using the following pokemon instead

    Rock - Larvitar, Arron

Dragon - Deino, Dratini, Axew after Corey (so no mystery egg rng (I know I can get it before but after is the trade off for no rng))

Ghost - Golett after the first gym

Note: For dragon I won't use noibat until it evolves because it is very weak

To get these I will use Sandbox mode and they will be shiny to show that I got them this way.

    Spoiler

What the generated pokemon will have/be

    -Shiny

    -21 IV's in everything

    -Neutral nature

-The starters will be level 15 to skip the grind at the start to go straight to fern

-The pokemon generaded later will be an apropriate level for when I get them

-I may use the move relearner for earlier level up moves

    ~Stompa

    Reasons for my choices.

    Spoiler

    Type exclusions:

    Spoiler

Ice: There are not very many ice types near the start so I would have to generate pokemon like the other types and there aren't any ice types that I like so I'm not including it.

Grass: I tried doing that with the stream and I didn't enjoy it.

Dark: There are reasons somewhere on the forums that I stopped my first dark playthrough and they still stand for now.

    Pokemon choices per type

    Spoiler

    Rock

    Spoiler

Rock is a type that suffers early game and these 2 are my favorite pokemon of all time.

    Dragon

    Spoiler

Deino - I went for this because its decent early game and a power house late game but because it doesn't evolve until level 50 I feel that it will balance out well enough

Dratini - I went for this one because it fits the balance of me liking it and it not being too OP to make the game interesting

    Reasons not chosen

Gible - The entire line is far to OP to keep the game interesting

Goomy - I don't like the Goomy line enough to chose it as a starter

    Ghost

    Spoiler

Golett - Again I feel like it strikes the right balance between me liking it and it being too OP

Walrein. Yes. As Random As This May Sound, This Guy Haunts My Nightmares. OK, Not Really, But I Still Don't Like It. So, One Time, My Neighbor Let Me Borrow His Pokemon White 2 Cartridge, And I Was Trying To Get The Shiny Haxorus Gift Before I Had To Return It. I Got Really Close To Seeing All The Pokemon, But Then There Was Walrein. I Tried And Tried Throughout The Various Pokemon Games I Owned To Get A Walrein And Trade It To White 2, But There Was No Hope. I Wasted Like 2 Hours Trying To See All The Pokemon... Only To Have Walrein End My Quest...

And Then, About... Maybe 5 Months Later Or So, I Was Doing An Omega Ruby Nuzlocke. And Glacia's Walrein Got Sheer Cold To Hit My Azumarill. Bad Times. This Walrus Can Burn In A Fire For All I Care.

I know you want to burn it in a fire but they don't burn that well especially with think fat.

I consider Normals as 'mons you'd mostly find free in their natural habitat in various areas, based on many different kind of animals. It's kind of a real-life zoo in the world of pokemon! Got deers, lions, lizards, urangutans, giraffes, birds, beavers and various rodents, cats, dogs, kangaroos, chimpanzees, bears, cows and chameleons.

I'd say that the only one out of space is Porygon, since a Psychic typing would fit more, to be honest. And Ditto. And Castform too, but that's an other discussion (I love Castform). Type-Null is in same category too, making me think that we have:

    NORMAL= zoo IRL + artificial pokemon (?)

Porygon- I agree that the normal type doesn't make sense. As you said psychic would make more sense.

Dito- I think it should also be psychic cause with the theory that its a failed clone of mew it would make sense for them to match typing as well. But that one doesn't matter so much cause of the fact that it rarely stays a dito for long.

Castform- works cause as its normal base with regular clear weather its normal and then it changes based of the weather.

Type-Null (and kinda silvally)- its normal cause its the not fully formed silvally that is normal in the same way arceus is normal cause thats its base and it gains something from there.

Thats just my take on the normal mons that are artificial and may or may not make sense to be normal type.
