  1. I always thought the Sashila house was just another one of those loops that Maria was placed under during her confinement — always ending with her sacrifice. So why is it that the Interceptor returns to that area whenever they die? It isn’t surprising that the Calamity might’ve changed the whole landscape from before to a desert.

What is Maria’s connection to the Interceptor? I feel like this is a question that needs to be answered before we can explore the possible theories of alternate versions.

I suspect that Madame X creating different alternate timelines resulting in the Melia/Maria(nette) split is plausible, and the fact that Marianette remembers her real name in whichever sacrificial loop she’s in(this is just inferred) just adds on to the reveal that Melia is fundamentally Maria still. She still remembers how she’s sacrificed and resists it the same way she did during the last loop that ended with Maria confronting Indriad.

(What I don’t understand is.... How the heck has he lived through the Calamity, when did he even fuse with Anju?? It definitely happened after the Wispy Tower incident since its not possible to have him run around looking young like he did before the Calamity. What is this man.)

  2. There's another point that we have to consider as well, Anathea only appearing when Maria is close-by. She never appears during our present timeline even after keeping her in the Soul Stone, and it might be because of other factors... But the fact that Anathea doesn't appear whenever we're around Melia suggests the fact that they aren't really exactly the same?

It's also hinted that Melia/Maria/Marianette is one of the Lights prophecised, and the fortune teller down in uh, the underground bladestar base in GDC recounts that one of the Lights has the power of Arceus. I read somewhere that these lights are not born from man, so... The question really boils down to how Melia actually came about. Since it isn't plausible that she has biological parents as Maria/Mariannette has.

Another thing to note is Nymeria connection to Vitus. They've been long enemies and if you've done the Narcissa quest up to the recent addition, you get to see an audition tape between Narcissa's husband and Gregory. Surprise, surprise, Narcissa's husband was actually Vitus.

Ah, did you do the quest with Crawli? With removing the leftovers of the Rift? Maybe that might be the problem and its still here. Do go check the Goldenleaf village and go left till you find Goldenleaf forest 😄

Oh, I didn't realise that there was a quest with Crawli, but I did go through Goldenleaf Village to access Goldenleaf forest though. Thanks so much for the help!

Did you try resetting the quest in Help Plaza? Also, did you do the bit where you got introduced in the Lab?

Yep, I made sure I finished the introductions in the Lab and the tour afterwards. I've tried resetting the quest multiple times and it doesn't work, unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what's the problem

  5. Dunno if anyone else experienced this, but during cutscenes in the latest V11.3, instead of having my usual sprit show up, I get the Aero character sprite(non-binary character option, number six.) Not sure if this is intentional with the whole Interceptor reveal, but I prefer to see my red-head gal I’ve come to love in cutscenes

  6. Hello, after much rewriting that has been done I've finally finished the first part of what I wanted to accomplish. I'm not promising any more of these sort of things, just something I like to write for a re-telling of what goes down in the games. I quite like how the characters in Rejuvenation, to be honest. And I especially like the dynamic of Melia and the MC, and that's what makes me ship them a lot LOL. The MC I have here is named Alice. But The Interceptor is known to take many appearances anyway.

Anyway, this takes place after Blacksteeple. It's less of a romance fic? Dunno, I just really wanted to write the tragedy the MC had to face. Also, feedback is more than welcomed, I'm not proud of this piece of work in particular so if you have any suggestions or feedback, don't hesitate to post here or PMs.

    Off-site link.

She hated it when Neved had the gall to comment about her silence. His face wasn’t forgettable, after all. He was there when they took her mother away along with the rest of the passengers on the S.S Oceana. If that wasn’t an omen as to what was to come, Aria didn’t really know what to call that encounter. Traumatising? Perhaps.

When she finally started her Pokemon journey, albeit dragged into the lab and into some sewers without consent, it wasn’t until she met a Melia and her group of friends that things started to feel just a bit better. The numbness she felt was starting to fade and Aria was spending less time in a daze. The days continued to pass until word about what exactly happened to the S.S Oceana caught wind. It was back to square one again at that point.

There wasn’t a day where people on the streets gossiped about such a tragedy, some were filled with the grief of losing their loved ones, but others were just mortified at how easily that heist had happened. No one knew the fate of what happened to those people, and before Aria had the chance to pursue the issue, she got wrapped up with more of Team Xen’s plans.

So far, she had lost two people in her life from the very moment she stepped into the region. If only she hadn’t agreed to come to Aevium, this could have all be avoided. Or so, that’s what Aria thinks. It wasn’t until recently that she realises that perhaps fate had a part to play in this. It was fate that she found the Piano Girl again while escaping from her cell.

It was fate that she could find her mother alive and well again. It was also fate that took her mother away for good.

Something inside of her snapped, and suddenly Aria couldn’t feel a thing anymore. She barely registered the fact that Madame X was still in front of her — sword poised and ready to take her life as intended. Her eyes were too busy trained on how Nancy’s body was twisted, almost like a ragdoll on the ground behind Madame X.

She resented the fact that none of the people around her could move to do anything to help. All they did was to stand still, completely paralysed with fear. Oh, how she wished these “Gym Leaders” could’ve done something when she was the one who went up against the unholy being that was under Madame X’s control.

Maybe then, her mother wouldn’t have died such a disgraceful death.

Aria didn’t bother to look up when she hears Emma’s voice all out to Madame X. She could hear the fear behind the words, challenging the leader of Team Xen’s power. Unfortunately, that was all she could remember other than the fact that she was dragged off to the ship. Aria continued to stare into those lifeless eyes that belonged to her mother.

The days that passed were a blur. All Aria did was space out and choke up occasionally. The shock had finally worn off and everything that had stockpiled from the previous month had finally taken its toll. She could no longer stomach whatever that was happening around her. The feeling of anger and resentment swallowed her whole, suffocated her entire being into an empty shell. It got worse when Augustus sent her the Mawile. Her mothers’.

The Mawile cooed gently when Aria released her from the Pokeball, as if sensing the grief that Aria was going through. It was nice to not be alone, even though Aria had subjected herself to isolation by locking herself in her room.

    “…You’re sad too, aren’t you?”

    The Mawile nodded her head.

“I am too. I don’t know what to do.”

Now that she thought about it, she never really got the chance to respond to what her mother said to her before they parted ways.

    I love you too.

Aria blinked harshly in an attempt to stop the tears from falling. She didn’t want to do this again.

Mawile cooed yet again and shifted closer to her to give her a hug. The Pokemon was small, so it only really hugged Aria's arm as she continued to sob pathetically. She was sad for so many reasons, she couldn’t remember her past at all. Not even her childhood days. All that she knew was that she had a mother that greatly cared for her in whatever way she could. Her heart ached the more she realised that there wasn’t much of her mother to remember.

And just like that, another day passed by.

It wasn’t until Adam had come to get her out of her room that she actually did. She listened to his empty promises and apologies in silence, only giving the occasional nod as she’s wont to do, just so he didn’t suspect that things were off. Although, he never came off as the type of person who would think so deeply into things. Perhaps her feigned responses weren’t even needed.

Melia was a little hard to talk to. So much about the girl had changed since they last saw each other, and while Aria was glad that Melia was indeed alive and well, this just wasn’t the same Melia she knew back then.

She looked a lot older as well, for some odd reason.

    “…Aria.”

“Huh? Sorry, I spaced out for a second there.”

Melia’s eyebrows furrowed for a second, but she quickly resumed her now serious demeanour.

“I said you’ve gotten stronger since we last met.”

“No, I haven’t.” Bitter words escaped Aria’s mouth a little too harshly, “I couldn’t win when it mattered.”

The self-pity that she wallowed herself in was neither healthy for herself or the people around her; Aria knew that well.

    “You still fought.”

Aria heard footsteps approach her and she quickly shifted her gaze back up to meet Melia’s. There was a newfound determination in those grey eyes and frankly shocked her. This new version of Melia was far more assertive than she was months ago.

“And that’s more than enough. We’ll get stronger, but we have to keep trying. Like how you kept trying to find me and go against Team Xen even when I was ‘dead.’”

    “How did you…”

“Come, let’s take your frustrations out with a Pokemon battle.” She was no fool to notice the change of subject. Aria sighed to herself and resigned to it anyway.

The battle ended in her favour, as usual. Though there were too many close calls for Aria to feel comfortable with. The adrenaline from the battle did stimulate her senses just a little and offered a distraction to far more dark and depressing thoughts. But

now that the battle had ended and the adrenaline was fading away, Aria fell back down from her high.

“I expected as much… Looks like I’ll have to improve more.” Melia muttered to herself as she recalled her last Pokemon and left it in the healing station.

Aria did the same with her team. The victory was hard-earned and they deserved their rest for now. Before she could take her leave, probably back to her room to sulk for the rest of the day, she felt Melia grab her wrist and dragged her towards the deck.

“H-Hey, wait! What are you doing?!”

“Going out to the deck! You’re coming along too.”

    “Why?”

She had trouble keeping up with the fast pace at which Melia was going, and almost slammed into the younger girl the moment she stopped in her tracks. The blonde looked at her weirdly, dropping that serious façade that she put up around others. A frown formed on her lips, and her brows furrowed. The worried look didn’t stay long, however. Her expression softens and her grip slackens to almost a caress.

She lets go of Aria’s hand and the two just stood near the entrance to the decks.

“Even the hardest workers deserve some rest, you know?”

    “Melia…”

“I missed you. I missed all of you during the time I was gone.”

Aria didn’t know what to do with the confession. In fact, she didn’t even know how to begin her response. Instead, she purses her lips and decides to keep quiet once more.

“It was hard, going through what I had to go through. And it’s going to be harder from here on forth.”

    Melia took a step forward.

“But we have so much to fight for, don’t we, Aria?” Do we?

“For the friends that we’ve made along the way,” Who?

“For the people who we have yet to save,” They never helped.

“For each other.” I don’t know who I am.

“At least we have each other in this.” Melia wrapped her arms around Aria’s torso, pulling the latter into a tight hug.

    “I…I’ve missed you too.”

No, that was a weird thing to say at this point. But that got a laugh out of Melia at least. “We can do this, as long as we’re together.”

Somehow, she felt like they’ve met before — in a different time and perhaps a different lifetime.

    "I trust you." She breathed.

  7. Well, the title says it all. I'm currently working on a Pokemon Rejuvenation drabble, and I know that there's a whole forum for it on this site.

However, there's also the Creative Works section available on the main page of the Reborn forums. Hence I'm a bit torn on where exactly to share the fic once I'm done writing it.

Do I post it under the Rejuvenation Forum or will the Creative Works do just fine?

    Thanks.

  8. Or you might be playing in Windy weather - where SE damage on Flying types become neutral.

It's probably what Xiri said. In Reborn, windy weather has the same effect as Mega Rayquaza's Delta Stream. From Bulbapedia:

So, if the weather was windy that would cause Swellow to not take super effective damage from electric, rock and ice type moves.

Ah I see, I didn't realise that Windy weather would have negated the super effective damage. Apologies for the false alarm. Thanks for clearing the misconception!

Are you sure it didn't use roost at all? Because if it did, that would be why.

    Nope, didn't use Roost.

  9. Ha, you sir are having the pleasure of facing the most dreaded gym leader in reborn :o

First off train yourself a banette to avoid the conundrum of tanking tri attacks and then burn that porygon and cincinno with will-o-miss

Then get yourself a steel type to tank those 5-hit combos like magneton or kling-klang. Lastly change the field to a corrosive field with sludgewave from nidoking and pray your mans outlive Noel's. I didnt have a single tanky mon on my team when I faced him so needless to say I almost quit the game for a month. Magneton proved my saviour and Im pretty sure it will help you too

Goodness Gracious where do I get a magnemite? I've seen some users have them, but I can't seem to find any.

  10. Holy crap. Porygon just sweeps my team with that Tri Attack. And believe me, I've tried poisoning that thing with toxic spikes set up. I've even lit the entire field on fire out of desperation. And yet those status effects do nothing to that monstrosity. Granted that I'd normally drain Noel of his Super(Hyper?) Potions whenever I set the field up. Anyway, it is apparent that none of my Pokemon can TANK that tri-attack. Even if I take that annoying Porygon off the battle. I don't think I'd be left with anyone to tank Cinccino and its 5 hit combos. BUT then we still have Clefable(Even though I haven't managed to reach this Pokemon yet, I feel that it's going to be the bane of me.)

Here's my current setup(note that they are around the level 53-54s):

    Nidoking(The Lead)

    Sheer Force Ability

    -Earth Power

    -Double Kick

    -Sludge Wave

    -Toxic Spikes

Arcanine(Set the field ablaze, my good companion.)

    Flash Fire Ability

    -FLAME BURST

    -Flamethrower

    -Crunch

    -Outrage

Ampharos(Perhaps, you can paralyse someone with your static. No? Okay.)

    Static Ability

    -Discharge

    -Thunder Punch

    -Power Gem

    -Signal Beam

    Luxray(Because Ampharos can't live after 3 turns.)

    Guts Ability

    -Discharge

    -Roar

    -Spark

    -Crunch

    Scolipede(Maybe I can stall? No?)

    Speed Boost Ability

    -Venoshock

    -PROTECT

    -Steamroller

    -Bug Bite

    Geninja(She's here because...Because..Er..She's my starter?)

    Protean Ability

    -Water Pulse

    -Extrasensory

    -Shadow Sneak

    -Feint Attack

    *Heavy Sigh*

  11. After 10 hours of gameplay, I've met my wall. Entity Shade(I've spent 4 days grinding and trying again but he DESTROYS me). It seems that I don't have any Pokemon able to outspeed his really fast Pokemon—Gengar, Rotom, Bannette and Chandelure(?). But really, it's the Rotom and Gengar that keeps KO-ing my team. I can't get a good start without Gengar hitting my Mightyena first and completely destroying my chances of even reaching Rotom. However, when I did manage to get around his Pokemon, Rotom just obliterated me and I can't do anything about his health because LEFTOVERS.

    Here's my current team:

    Mightyena(The lead)

    Quiet Nature

    Moxie Ability

    -Assurance

-Crunch(Many common candies were used to bring down his level after obtaining this move)

    -Bite

    -Roar

Growlithe(Hopeful follow up but since I can't evolve him to Arcanine without the fire stone, he's going to get out-sped.)

    Naughty Nature

    Flash Fire Ability

    -Crunch

    -Retaliate

    -Flamethrower

    -Flame burst

    Greninja

    Hasty Nature

    Protean ability

    -Water Pulse

    -Feint Attack

    -Shadow Sneak

    -Round

    Luxray

    Hasty Nature

    Guts ability

    -Thunder Fang

    -Roar

    -Spark

    -Bite

    Zebstrika(Field Changer)

    Lax Nature

    Lightning Rod Ability

    -Flame Charge

    -Stomp

    -Discharge

    -Thunder Wave

Other Pokemon to take note of that are in rotation:

    Nidoking

    Impish Nature

    Sheer Force Ability

    -Horn Attack

    -Double Kick

    -Thrash

-Toxic Spikes (Was thinking of using him for a set-up)

    Ampharos

    Bold Nature

    Static Ability

    -Thunder Wave

    -Thunder Punch

    -Power Gem

    -Confuse Ray

Onix(Um I'm not sure if he's even suitable for this gym, so I haven't levelled him up yet)

    Timid Nature

    Weak Armour Ability

    Buizel(Maybe, as of how he's Lvl 25)

    Gentle Nature

    Swift Swim Ability

    -Pursuit

    -Swift

    -Aqua Jet

    -Furry Cutter
