[[E18] Un-stuck Me! The save file fixing thread]

Hey team,

 

So I've just opened up reborn and suddenly have a load or error messages saying it can't run the script, lines are missing and then it ends with a text box that says:

"Script 'PokemonLoad' line 461: NoMethodError occured. undefined method 'lastSave' for nil:NilClass

 

All up I recieve 4 error messages when it first loads, then it goes to the title screen, then 5 more error messages before I get the text box quoted above. All are attached.

So I'm in episode 18. I've spoken to the man in the building when it's raining. I've come back when it's a clear day. I've gone all the way to the fountain and no squirtle. I checked the guys dialogue and he mentions that maybe someone else has seen it. So I spoke to the guy who mentions the hidden grottos under the wasteland. Still no squirtle. I am using the weather mod to alter the weather but I don't think that's supposed to affect it. Please help.

I've noticed from playing the last few days that after an opposing pokemon uses roost it subsequently receives less damage the following turn. I've tested this a couple of times to the point where I was battling a Xatu and I repeatedly used thunderbolt and it responded with roost. Thunderbolt went from taking 9/10ths worth of damage and after several turns took just half damage. For some reason after each roost the opponents defence was increasing.

So I've just downloaded the new file and I was playing through my new save and came to the point in Aya's gym where you face fern. No matter what I do every time I knock out his ryhorn the game comes up with this and then I'm stuck. Pls help.

Would the pokemon you find vary on the rod? or does only one rod work on the lava? It's ok if you don't remember but maybe this will jog your memory. Or maybe someone else knows?

Been running around Pyrous mountain for ages now and still have no joy finding these guys. Are they in a secret compartment? Do I have to restore Reborn? Must I sacrifice a goat??? Pls help.

So I did what any rational person would do with e17's release and started a new game. I love having gardevoir in my squad as i need a fairy cover but I've noticed that the scientist who fixes the corrupted pokeball is no longer there. Does he not appear till later in the game now or has he moved elsewhere? Pls help I'm desperate.

Why do I feel like everything is actually complete and Ame wants to wait until Sun & Moon's release to make us have to pick between Reborn or S&M

Actually the beta is just taking forever. Ame herself is getting a little edgy.

[Once upon a Field...]

This game has a habit of surprising us, maybe we're forced to make a decision that can cause deaths, such as one life over multiple others, or we end up inadvertently killing someone. Thus someone dies but we're the one who causes us. Who would expect it? Anybody disagree/agree? Or did this scenario already happen before? Cory maybe?

I wonder who will die and how it would play out, but I hope I'm right.

This game has done different outcomes based on decisions before. The Taka decision in the water treatment plant for example? How that plays out could be interesting.
