I'm looking to trade my shiny Scatterbug, Shiny Pidgey, or Shiny Noibat for an Axew. It doesn't even need to have good IVs or EVs.

[[E16 Spoilers] If you're having trouble with the gym, here's my suggestion.]

My MVP for pretty much the entire fight was my Metagross. Meteor Mash did ridiculous damage to Adrienn's Pokemon without the field change. My Lucario took out his Granbull with an Iron Tail, and I used Sneasel to take out the Togekiss with an Icicle Crash. The rest was all Metagross.

Personally Turtwig and Fennekin have done a pretty good job through the game. It really boils down to how you specialize your starters and maximize their strengths.

[[Known/Fixed][E16] Unreachable Item in Azurine Lake]

You can glitch into the walls if you dive at the right spot and pick up that item. Once you're in the walls you can swim freely in any direction, if that makes any sense, and pick up the item (Its a Shoal Shell I believe.). To get out of the walls, use dive on the tile that you entered from. Its good to make a backup save just in case you can't escape. 

[4th Gen Love?]

4th Gen is actually my favorite generation so far. Yes, due to hardware and software issues it ran slowly, but to be fair it was the first true Pokemon game on the DS. I loved the story too, Cyrus and Team Galactic were a more serious bunch of antagonists than what we had seen before, what with his plan to undo all of reality and re-write it by enslaving the physical concepts of Space and Time. Universal genocide seems like the worst thing anyone could do. Palkia is still my favorite legendary followed up by Giratina, and Turtwig/Torterra is always my "bro tier" starter. If there is going to be a Gen 4 remake, I'll be ready to buy it (Gamefreak maybe include an Azure Flute event this time?).

[Optimistic or pessimistic?]

I learned in high school that nihilism is overrated. What's the fun in life if you believe that all of the actions that we do won't amount to anything in the end? I try to find the beauty in life as much as I can, since I believe our existences here in this time and place are a gift not to be squandered.

I try to be an "optimistic realist", since life isn't good all the time, and rationality plays a big part in living well. But it helps to keep your chin up as much as you can.

Its generally not a good idea to ask or post this question out of courtesy to the creators. Ame and the dev team will release the game when they feel it is time. Until then, just be patient.

[Most memorable battle in Reborn so far?]

My favorite battle so far has to be the siege on Titania's manor. The mere fact that the Player Character is now considered a such a significant threat to Team Meteor to warrant two consecutive double-battles is awesome to think about. Not to mention, on my play-through I was able to decimate Solaris' team, which was cathartic after the incident at Pyrous Mountain. Not to mention aside from your fights the other gym leaders were doing their own thing in holding off Meteor at the same time.

If taking the definition of animal as any multi-cellular organism capable of controlled, independent movement and requiring the ingestion of other organisms in order to survive, then yeah humans are animals. The scientific name for the modern human species is homo sapiens sapiens, which also happens to be the only surviving animal species under the homo genus (we are all homogeneous in the homo genus, science puns!). But yeah, long story short we are animals.

Some guy in my high school junior-year Spanish class gave me the file for Reborn 12 (I think, this was in 2014) after I asked him what he was playing one day.

[Underrated moves in reborn]

For most gym leaders, I carried an Emolga in my team. Reason being that it knows Nuzzle, a 100% chance-to-paralyze move. Gym leaders have fast pokemon, but if Emolga can out speed them and paralyze them, its game over.

Alright, I finally beat the odds today.

I've been meaning to do a re-run of the game when E16 is released. Last week though, I had a thought: why not test my luck when getting the starter Pokemon? On my last run of Reborn, a fire-type starter made the early game easier as both Fern and Florinia have fire weaknesses. I also knew that I'd be facing a few poison-types early on, so psychic was also a good type to have. Knowing this I decided to go with Fennekin as my choice since it gains Psychic moves early on as Braixen. Now, each starter has a 15% chance of being female, and Reborn has an adjusted shiny rate to around 1 per every 700 (as far as I know). So, how hard could it be to get a female shiny starter?

Well, it took about two weeks and constant soft-resetting while watching Best of the Worst from Red Letter Media, but I proudly present to all the first Pokemon of my E16 party!

(It's got a Serious nature though, but its a minor drawback I suppose. No boosted Sp.Attack gains, but whatever.)

[Any Tips For a Beginner Like Me?]

Train everyone in your party, and understand how to optimize your team for any situation. Even if its a pain, make sure to EV train to get the best edge against your opponent. Also, and this is just personal preference by the way, have a large roster of Pokemon to choose from. Also, handy tip: event Pokemon seem to come with a randomized Egg Move when you find them. If you use an outside source like Bulbapedia you can see what these moves are. If you find, say, a Sneasel in an in-game event and you want it to have Icicle Crash, you can hit F12 to soft-reset the game if the one you found didn't have the move you're looking for. This saves time in breeding for certain moves.

This is part of a neat little puzzle. I believe that you can start solving it through an entrance on the north wall in Byxbysion. Good luck solving it!

Oh gee, what a horrible shame it would be if Fern died, right guys? Man, I can't even begin to imagine a game without Fern.
