  1. Yesterday, a Fearow used Mirror Move while paralysed, and during its attempt to use the mirrored move... It stopped because of paralysis.

Like the game tested Fearow's paralysis two times instead of one, as if it made two moves within the same turn. Only the first test should have been enough, right?

  2. Umbreon with Toxic, Confuse Ray, Double Team, Mean Look, that kind of annoying moves. :3

Unfortunately, during my first run in Pokémon Reborn, I forgot to do the Eevee quest, and when I realised that, I was so frustrated I started another run to get that Eevee. ._.

  3. Finally a list I can fill with a lot of things!

    • I love gambling. It may bring me some cash sometimes, but overall it's a dangerous thing.
    • I drink a lot of Monster energy drinks. Like, maybe one every two days. There is way worse, but that's already a lot.
    • I procrastinate a LOT. I almost always accomplish things passively (or do not even accomplish them at all), and it takes a lot of time.
    • I speak too fast and not clearly enough, even in my first language.
    • I am not concerned enough about my family... and my friends.

There are probably others, but these are the worst ones.

Needless to say sometimes I lie down on my bed, doing nothing but thinking about how much of an idiot piece of shit I am.

  4. Hey, that's a quite interesting conclusion. However, these people will probably claim to know what their waifu really wants, using an excuse like the 'bond' between them is so strong they don't need words to understand each other...

What I can say in their defense, is that they won't harm anyone as long as they're only forcing fictional characters to marry them. It won't bring them anything good, probably, but as long as no one else is involved, they do what they want. And at least, that's far better than forcing a real human being.

I might have been in this kind of state when I was younger, probably because I felt alone, but since my first girlfriend, it has never occurred again. All I feel for my favourite female characters now is some kind of respect and admiration, as if they were my idéal féminin. Kind of. Anyway, I don't really care anymore about the fact that they're not real. If anything, I just want to wear a cosplay of them, for one day or two.

  5. I can understand that. I was also obsessed at this point by a few other things in the past, and Pokémon wasn't an exception. Even at the moment, it's been almost 4 years since I've drown in a true obsession with a traditional board game called Japanese Mahjong. You'll probably know the Mahjong Solitaire where you have to make pairs of identical tiles in a defined amount of time, but the true Mahjong game is way more complex, and I do love complex things.

That's why I love girls haha

Anyway, I'm probably the kind of guy that would spent his whole life and sacrifice everything for something / someone he really loves, so my overall opinion about these obsessional passions is probably controversial. Here it is anyway: you really don't have to worry about it. I mean, why would you worry about creating or surrounding yourself with a universe you love? You'll probably have a better time doing what you want instead of forcing yourself into things you don't really care about. As long as you're enjoying your life the way you want, it's all good I guess!

Just don't forget to eat and drink properly, and take a shower at least once every 2-3 days. lol

  6. High quality rips.

Jokes aside, well, I like almost every genre, but I will listen to maybe only one or two artists / circles for each.
My favorite genres are linked to the music side of Touhou: J-pop, Electro/Techno, OSTs...
I actually prefer songs without lyrics, or with lyrics I won't bother trying to understand.

And I LOVE piano and violin, together or not.

  7. Time to revive this thread!

My favorite pony is Rarity, followed closely by Trixie and Starlight Glimmer. Yes, I do love unicorns! I also love Fluttershy and Ember.

By the way, my favorite shipping from the series is Starlight x Trixie, since the recent episode "No Second Prances" (6x06). I just find them so cute together! *-*

About the comics, I have two of them, but the French issues are not the same and the stories aren't grouped the same way. It doesn't change the fact that I love them! The stories seem quite more mature, the jokes more subtle, it's really funny to read! I'll probably buy some of the original issues in English, one day.

To end this post, please have some Starlight x Trixie! ^-^

  8. My first run is a casual one, with which I had a hard time against pretty much half of the Gym Leaders. That's probably because I underestimated Pokémon Reborn in the first place... But that only makes things better! I'm glad to finally have to try&die and then plan a strategy before every important battle.

    I'm planning on making another run where I'll probably soft-reset for natures / IVs and such, and probably make a better team overall because my team right now is quite weak. ;-;

So yeah, you may be able to finish any Pokémon game easily, even without EV training your team and such, but Pokémon Reborn is smart and vicious enough to make one think twice about their methods.

  9. In fact, I'm not sure whether there was already a topic like this or not. ;w;

    Anyway, here's my Top 5!

    1. Route 1 / Entralink Remix

The first time I heard this remix was also the first time I entered Route 1, and I was just in awe. All the feelings and emotions flowing inside of me, as I made my first step outside the whole Reborn banlieue and the Chrysolia labyrinth... This freedom feeling was simply awesome.

    2. Surfing Theme / Anistar City Remix

I love this remix because of the sensation of calm and peace it brings to me. I've always loved relaxing and ambient themes like this one.

    3. VS Rival Theme / VS Iris Theme

What an epic and joyful theme to kick Fern's butt!

    4. Ametrine Mountain / Pokéball Factory Remix

Nothing special to say here, I was already in love with the original soundtrack in X&Y. *-*

    5. Iolia Valley / Mt. Coronet Remix II

Mt. Coronet was synonym for 'Mystery' when I was a kid, with Arceus, Giratina and everything, it's only natural that this song brings to me a strong nostalgia feeling.

Your turn! You're free to give explanations, details or not. ^-^ You can even make a top 50 if you have plenty of free time! (Though I'm not so sure whether there is 50 different songs in the game...)

  10. Lucky for you, in Pokémon Reborn the shiny rate is quite merciful. That's the only Pokémon game where I can feel like I don't care skipping or killing a shiny.

Because in any other game I would already overreact over the mere fact that I found a shiny.

  11. Long-haired dude.

Rather tan skin thanks to (or because of?) my summer job.

Eyes as brown as my hair.

    6' tall (183cm).

Slim silhouette, though I definitely need to move my ass more often because I get tired way too quickly.

Don't forget my long nails, causing quite a controversy around my family and friends. ;w; #NoHomo

  12. Personally, I'm kind of locked in the third gen. It's by faaar my favorite gen for many reasons, and I can't stop playing them. I bought back all the cartridges, two GBA SP and a link cable. I think I might be a 3rd gen "genwunner" because of my true love for this gen, but I still like pretty much all the generations. Well, except for the first one, since Fire Red & Leaf Green made it pretty useless... Though I feel like I'm going back in time since I've bought Pokémon Crystal recently, and I enjoy it a lot. xD

I don't think my mind is that closed, since I've enjoyed every Pokémon game, each one has its pros and cons, along with its own nostalgia feeling: 1st and 2nd gen because I was a kid, 3rd gen because I loved Hoenn as soon as I began to play Ruby, 4th gen because of the beginning of the battles and exchanges through the world (that, and the fact that I got my Internet connection for the first time in 2007, the same year I got Diamond)... I even like the Pokémon Colosseum and Mystery Dungeon spinoffs. But it's obvious being in love with something (or someone?) makes our point of view lose its objectivity. Many people hate the 3rd gen because 2muchH2O, and they're right, yet it's one of the reasons why I love it.

I'm also a fan of another popular game series: Halo. Like Pokémon, there are many episodes in the main series, 5 for now, and there is gonna be a 6th one soon. I've played these games since I'm little too (oooouu, he's not respecting the PEGI 16 label!! what a thug! you only yolo once), and what made me love this game is the story, along with the very simple gameplay, quick to grasp. As long as Bungie was in charge, this was okay and the three first games were awesome, my favorite one being Halo 2 (props to 343 Industries for the beautiful remake). Bungie also made the spinoff Halo: Reach, though I didn't enjoyed it as much, not only because of the absence of John-117, but also because I feel they tried things which didn't turn out useful, making the gameplay a bit more complex for nothing.

When the series began to become controversial, is when 343 Industries took control. A lot of players rejected them as soon as Halo 4 was out. Halo 4 is a game with awesome graphics and soundtracks, but that hasn't Bungie's footprint anymore, especially in the OST, and that's what made the players frustrated. While I do agree Halo 4 doesn't feel like a Halo game, that's not all. The story, what a lot of fans think it's the game's forte, started to become absurd, with for example the return of the Covenants as foes, which I can't help but think it was forced. As a whole, the game is still awesome, but it doesn't have the Halo feeling anymore, and it reduces a lot the fun capital of the game. Maybe the franchise is only evolving, like a Pokémon who reached the level 36? I don't know. Humans find hard and tiring to change, that's probably why they can't bear it. I'll have to buy Halo 5 to make my own idea on how the story is moving.

Just to say that sticking to an objective opinion about a game is hard if we're a fan. Like I know how much a game is awesome, though I can't find many opportunities to personally enjoy it because I have my own reasons. But as long as we understand and know there are many different opinions, and we accept them, that's okay. Just don't expect to debate peacefully on YouTube and such, because you won't find many open-minded players around there.

  13. That's a clever thought, it explains pretty much every odd thing about that scene. Then, that Misdreavus 'only' was the reflect of the player's remorse towards Kiki's death. Even with this reasoning, the fact that this Misdreavus is in my team since then still feels a bit creepy... I couldn't really help it, I love Mismagius! *-*

Anyway, thanks a lot for your answers! :3

  14. When you face Kiki's soul in the Byxbysion Wasteland, get spooked yelled at, and defeat her, she transforms into a Misdreavus and joins your team. But something definitely felt odd to me. Kiki was usually calm and wise, but her soul was absolutely mad at the player. Even if I can understand her anger, why did she let down her wisdom, the very core of her being, all of a sudden? Plus, even though she felt like she was waiting to be appeased (since it's believed that souls wander as long as they're not appeased), she didn't calm down after I defeated her. Instead, she transforms into a Pokémon (first reaction I had was: 'wtf?'), a ghost one at that, meaning that her soul might stay here below forever, meaning that she will NEVER feel appeased.

(By the way, the whole scene freaked me out and her diatribe made me feel even more depressed and frightened about death, as if I wasn't already enough... ;-; )

So, here are my questions, was that the true soul of Kiki? Maybe that Misdreavus was nothing but a prankster? If she indeed was the real Kiki, what is making her that mad and preventing her from her appeasement?

Sorry if these questionings have already been answered, but this has been bugging me for a while. >.<

  15. Still, a secret level 255 Arceus boss could happen, who knows?

That's what I was thinking of, as soon as I clicked on the thread. lol

Still, that wouldn't harm if a few bosses or aces were to exceed the lv.100 limit. But letting the player cross this limit is unneeded, in my opinion. In fact, I'm only at the 10th badge, my foes being already around lv.70, so the lv.100 isn't that far... But the last levels ain't easy to reach either.
