  1. Hi. Just passing through to report a really crashing problem regarding Strength.

Recently, each time I'm trying to interact with Strength boulders, simply colliding with them, or simply trying to activate Strength through my Pokemon menu, the game purely, painfully and simply crashes itself trying to execute that.

I took some screens to go with that. Under Spoilers.

    Spoiler

    Crash.png.e9793d00cb6d99327edb35ed78b6539b.png

That one appears whenever I collide with boulders, and..

    Crash2.png.a0902dfd497ec18224450a4e54af9e89.png

... This one, whenever I'm trying to directly activate Strength or interact with the Boulder to activate it.

I tested with many places, I got exactly the same effects for the same causes.

The strangest with that, is I had no problem with that prior to completing Zorrialyn Maze and the Sidequest in it (which implies boulders and strength), a few days before.

I am on Patch 2 of Version 12 (which I think is the most recent, or I missed something), and I can't find any solution to my problem. If you can help me with that, thanks in advance.

    Showdown alt: Shinyrio, too

Availability: Unpredictable during Summer, but if I am here , it's on GMT + 1 time (French Time)

Favourite types:  Doesn't have a real favourite type, but I prefer to use Water, Ghost and Steel

Least favourite type: Fighting. Never got a good hand at 'em.
The last 4 digits on your credit card: NOPE

  3. Bugs found during the playthrough:

    Spoiler

    - During the [REDACTED] Gym Battle, on one occasion, when I healed with a Ultra Potion, the Computer did nothing. I think it attempted to do it's Signature attack.
    - On the Dimensional Rift Battle, when Erin's Abomasnow used Blizzard and changed the field, there was a graphic bug that displaced both "Battle rings". I forgot to take a screen, sorry.

Edit : After verification, another thing that looks like a bug :

    - When you have a pokemon with Cloud Nine on the Gym leader's Field (Exemple : an Altaria), the effect that is supposed to cancel the Weather actiavates each times it has the opportunity, instead of only activating when a weather is here. Kind of irritating to be spammed.

Edit ² : I think i'll just put all the bugs I discover here :

    - During the Solarock/Selerock sidequest (The first one, when you have to save someone), if you don't capture the Pokemon the first time, attempting to restart the battle stucks the game. Maybe it's a side effect of the reboot.

I'm currently trying to put most of the moves that could help apply particular strategies, but I think I'm still lacking other things, like a good recovery.

  7. Well, I think I maybe have my word about all this League. I'm, for sure, one of those who are discovering this strange world of Online Leagues for the first time, but a young voice even though I'm 26 is as important as an old, I guess.

And here will be the long and unending block of text. Don't read it if you want to live.

Is this League hard? Well, I could answer that directly, but let me first tell you a story of mine. The story of that one guy who was curious about the previous Redemption league and was willing to compete on the following. This guy, you might have understood, is me. And why am I competing in the first place? For three reasons : having fun with my favorite hobby, AkA Pokemon (an almost 20 year history, nonetheless), to see where I can go with my favorite style of playing, AkA Balanced (in all things) and... to try to socialize, introducing myself better to this community (I kinda don't post a lot, I guess), and show them who I am!

Then the league started. First match, versus Olivia, was... kinda lucky I guess (I was expecting something different with her previous match). Then I was stuck near a wall named Mira. A very kind wall, for sure, but still a wall. It took me no less than 4 close matches to beat her. And meanwhile, I doubted myself about how fun was this league supposed to be. But thanks to some people, and some advices about the league, I could overcome this part and continue.

The rest of this league is still this cycle : victories, defeats, preparations, support from others. I had doubts sometimes, but I continued to learn. To observe. To listen... erm, to read. To try (as much as I can) converse with people, with the leaders ( And oh god I start to appreciate some of those. You know, the one I give affectionate nicknames, big up, Lucci and Mr Croc).

Why am i telling you that? Because this directs to what I want to tell, what I learned : yes! League is hard. League is MEANT to be hard. But, and that the most paradoxal thing, League is hard if you keep being alone! I think it's because there are some other challengers like me, like you, reader, that league can be suddently easier.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE! If you keep trying to understand, and even more from others, then League can be as easy as you can exploit these datas.

And for those of you who think this is a paragraph about "Let the others being beaten up while your observing"... I admit this.... aspect is a part of what I'm saying. But this thing alone won't help you much. Sometimes practice is a good way to make sure of where you're heading to. And that's why, sometimes, I'm looking for someone for sparring (with more or less success, due to my social skills being.... not that good ) between matches, and sometimes after a defeat, not only for practice, but also to... ease my pain about the loss and keep moving forward.

Well, to conclude, I know this text might be a bit... hard to understand. But it's my actual point of view of what league is : a hard place, sure, but a fun place before all. If you can keep the fun on, well you won't think all the time that league is hard.

And for this experience, I have to thank all the people I met in the Showdown chat.  Well, i'm maybe 10 badges now, being one of the 3 frontrunners, but there's still a looooong way to go! I heared some legends about that Venus girl. And, oh boy, this might be interesting to fight her.

  8. Ok, now that I have settled this, I've finally made my decision of entering da league.

I want the Heart Gold Trainer Card with that little sprite:

*Sorry for the white, I can't make it dissapear. Ok, I just borrowed it, since I like it so much and I don't know how to sprite, so...*

    And the following team

    Spoiler

    Metagross

    - Meteor Mash
    - Zen Headbutt
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Punch

    Mandibuzz

    - Knock Off
    - Roost
    - Toxic
    - Defog

    Rotom-Wash

    - Hydro Pump
    - Volt Switch
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Trick

    Garchomp

    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Swords Dance

    Salazzle

    - Nasty Plot
    - Sludge Wave
    - Fire Blast
    - Hidden Power [Grass]

    Sylveon

    - Hyper Voice
    - Heal Bell
    - Wish
    - Protect

And there it is. See you later in the League.

  9. I pushed my thoughts about a team a bit further since, and I think I came up with a good result. I'm still sharing it for more advices, just in case.

    Spoiler

    Metagross
    - Meteor Mash
    - Zen Headbutt
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Punch

    Mandibuzz
    - Knock Off
    - Roost
    - Toxic
    - Defog

    Rotom-Wash

    - Hidden Power [Grass]

    Sylveon
    - Hyper Voice
    - Heal Bell
    - Wish
    - Protect

A nice balanced team, which I like particularly. This duo of (primarly) supporting Pokemon back up my sweepers nicely. Somehow, I miss a Paralyze inducer, for tripling the statusing.

I'm hesitating between volt switch and discharge on rotom, though, maybe I need momentum.

As usual, I'll thank you for any advice you could give about that.

  10. I'm reposting my team here for advices, since I got no aswers (feels bad, man...) in the previous post (or my case of myopia is really severe), with a slight change.

As Redemption seems to be now, high versatility and multipliying potential roles appears to be the key to victory.

I like balanced strategies, with a bit of crippling the opponent before sweeping, that's the primary idea of my team .

Yeah, I know I'm running two Tricks! But I like this move in this league, it offers so many possibilities and ways to bypass weaknesses that I can't imagine not running it.

There is currently this natural weakness to Fairy type and attacks, but I think I can handle it offensively.

Two Potential Megas, Gallade and Garchomp. Make your bets!

    Thanks for helping me.

  11. Redemption league always interested me, but I wasn't aware of its existence before it was closed.

But now, it's back! Finally an opportunity of a good challenge. And teams are actually storming in my head.

I have this team, in particular, that might be not bad at all, but I think it's missing something. I dunno what though. That's why I want some help with it.

Yeah, I really think I'm saying too much ... Wait, are the leaders watching us at this very moment? Oh crap!

Just kiddin', this team is here for you to help me improve it. Thanks in advance for looking at it.

  12. Don't worry, that situation is perfectly normal.

I guess you are used to breed with materials you got from trades. That's actually because Original Trainer ID also plays a part in the chances of getting an egg.

The fact you have less eggs is because you're trying to breed two differents Pokemons with you as the Original Trainer.

To put this in numbers :

Different Pokemons/ Same ID : 20% chances of an egg each cycle.

    Different Pokemon / Different ID : 50%

    Same Pokemon/ Same ID : 50%

    Same Pokemon/Different ID : 80% (I guess)

If you don't have it, I suggest you to get the Oval Charm, which is... somewhere under the Azurine lake.

    Edit : Flippin' Ninja'd

  13. Hi!

You seem to have some Pokemon I find very interesting.

I have some products to trade, result of my intensive breeding, for a Snivy, a Chimchar and a Bulbasaur.

I can also add some Shinies and Ability Capsules, I have largely enough of these.

If you want to discuss of this, PM me, and I'll show them to you.

  14. Hello guys,

I don't know if it's me, if it's already known, or whatever, but I have to report this thing.

When I consult the Ice Field file on Pokenav, a black screen like the one below appears in place of the second page.

    Spoiler

    1481584276079127400.png

And that's not all : when I go back, it finally displays the second page.. but with the box zones of the first page.

This maybe is a minor bug, but it's quite disturbing.

Started episode 16 but never bothered to get the Yureyu Key.  After beating episode 16 I wanted to get it, but it is not where it is supposed to be. I am not sure whether it is a bug or it was moved on purpose and I need to find it someplace else.

    Spoiler

    Hello,

This Key was indeed pushed forward, for some reasons (one of them could be Magnezone).

To get it, you have to complete the Mulch Quest. You can find it in the park in the middle of Peridot Ward, by talking to the old man.

Prepare your Itemfinder, you'll need it.

    Hello!

So, I haven't updated to E16 yet, but I wanted to know where and when will I be able find slowpoke. It would be awesome if someone could give me some clues without spoiling the story.. I don't want to realize at some point near the end of E16 that I could have been using that magestic beast for a while. I wan't to catch it as soon as posible once is obtainable.

Clues like: "After the episode's gym leader you will find a big lake with a purple house, that's the place" or "Fish on route X"

    Best regards,

    Spoiler

    Hello.

You can fish them here :

    1481121427041149300.png

That's Route 4. To fish them, you'll need the Super Rod you'll obtain in this episode.

Be patient, he is rare, and you'll fish some Seaking and Lumineon first.

And you can be relieved, Slowpoke is just out, just because you need this specific rod.

Does anyone know which house simon is in for the fisherman-id quest?

It's the nearest accessible building to the right, near Peridot Pokemart.

But have you met him in Beryl Graveyard first? He will appear here after this.

Anyone have all the answer for quiz girl in coral ward? Kinda lazy to stroll around
    And what is the reward?

    Spoiler

I did this quest, but the reward is not really useful, since it's just the Fairy Tale Field effect File.

But if you want to get it, I will give you my answers :

    1) 15 Trains

    2) 30 Buildings

    3) 23 Pikachus

    4) 0 Thing (This question is a trap)

    5) 42 Apophyll Shelves (No, that's really the answer)

    6) Just give a random number, since this question is impossible, even for the quiz girl (Basically, the number of trees in Chrysolia forest, THE thing impossible to count).

    Hope it'll help you.
