  1. Hello all. Im not sure if this is the right place to be posting this, or if its already been done, but i figured the mods can move it to where they think it should go or delete it if they see it as redundant.

So I noticed a couple of people tend to get Active Movie Window pop ups,(including myself) and I've seen everyone on this site just say its a media player that the person had downloaded, but most of the time its not the correct fix. After re-downloading the game, on a different computer, after a long hiatus from rom hacks, I still got the same pop up/slowdown/crash. So i finally sat down and hashed it out. Turns out it's the music files. Basically when the windows pops up, it means the computer is meeting a sound file its not happy with.  In my case it was happening whenever i won a battle, so i went into the audio files and looked over victory music. When clicked on, everything worked fine, but after some trial and error of removing sound files and running the game, to narrow down what audio file it was, turns out the sound file named "Victory!" was causing the issue and the computer did not like the exclamation mark, So i renamed it, (or you could just remove it if you want) and everything worked beautifully. I was able to play the game again! Now from what I've read, the ActiveMovie Crash happens in a lot of different locations so the fix is just trial and error finding the audio file thats suppose to play during the crash, and either renaming or removing it.

I hope this helps anyone in the future who has this issue.

  2. Hmmmm, You know what, I took a computer class not to long ago and had to download Visual Basic Studios, I remember after i downloaded it whenever i played league it would run it through VB instead of properly running it (and i had to run league as administrator to fix it). So maybe theta causing some interference- Ive been meaning to delete it anyway so ill get on that today. If not ill have to thoroughly go through all the programs i have on it. Thank you for your time and help!

  3. Sorry for the late reply, school have been keeping me busy. It should (?) be showing up now on the main post. Thank you for your time-

Also my apologies to the moderators, i though this was a common problem (or the way my computer runs it problem) and not a save file issue-

  4. Hello everyone, first off i want to say thank you to the creators of this game, its amazing, i love the story, the new mechanics, the music the fact shiny pokemon are easy to get, But no seriously, thank you for creating this game.

I played it before on my mac, and got up to the poison gym before the game would freeze, constantly and sporadically (i chalk it up to the minimal space and ram on my mac).

    Actual problem:

In any case I've migrated over to my PC and have gotten my first pokemon. I exited the starting building out into the opal ward and instantly went to the side to see if i can catch a ekans. First battle was a ratticate and upon defeating it my the game froze and a black window poped up that was just titled "ActiveMovie Window". I did a couple of test runs, aka different battles with trainers and wild pokemon in other areas but all the same result. At the end of the battle just as the text scrolls for the exp after the final pokemon is defeated it freezes and the window pops up.

    Things I've done:

First thing i did was look up if there was already common problem/fixes online, and i did find someone saying they had the same problem, In more words they said it was a random media player/downloader picking up the file and running with it or something. They themselves had downloaded a bunch of media playing devices to watch anime and after deleting them they said everything worked fine. Not so much with me. I haven't downloaded any media dowloaders/players and I even uninstalled the Windows media player that came with the PC and still the problem persists. I couldn't find anything else on the matter and so here i am, hoping someone might be able to figure out something that i couldn't. I'm running windows 10 so it might just be an unavoidable problem. Any input would be helpful. Thank you~

    *UPDATE*

After fussing around and waiting a bit it turns out it freezes for a while and then goes a bit and freezes, after 15 minutes i was able to make it through the end credits of one battle. Maybe its something with the victory music playing or something, Idk. just wanted to update. Also it doesn't happen when i just run away from a battle, just when i win.
