Where Lucky tent guy go after getting the 4 badge?

Is there a way to change the difficult without having to use him? I don't want to play on casual for the rest of the game -
Right after i got my 5 Badge and got the opportunity to go back to gearen city, i went to the lucky tent to change the game difficult to normal. It would be my first free change of difficult and after that introduction he dissapeared... Can i still change the difficult? If so where he is? Any help is welcome. Also sorry for any mistakes, english isn't my native language.
