  1. this seems like the proper place to put this question so here i go. I beat Episode 16 uhh... basically when it came out. I have forgotten ~20% of the story while remembering the gym and major plots.... however i don't recall where im supposed to meet the gym leader now to officially begin episode 17. My save file had me directly outside of the fairy gym. any hints or summary refreshes would be absolutely amazing

I used my level 100 linoone (Hodor) and claimed victory  lol

Wait... what... why do you have a level 100 linoone? How did it not kill itself from ignoring orders? I'm so confused

and @FairFamily I'm pretty interested in that. I just muscled through but you seem to have thought it out before hand. So +6 grade our sweep with the second one healing gradevoir when needed? I was just clicking gear grind and meteor mash till they used hurricane then I kept seeing "meteor mash! FOR JUSTICE" and laughed as they made me stronger

  3. Now i understand that this is completely and utterly irrelevant to most and probably shouldnt be getting typed, but its 4am and i just beat the gym while simply testing the waters to see what mons it had and the levels and how the random team i through together might work on it, as such i felt an impressive need to spread this fact and the way (ish) that i did it. No not bragging just really surprised and had to type it out for someone, anyone, to read.

alright... to start with, my lead was

    Spoiler

metagross (69) and klingklang (76) just went full generic and powered into the gardevoir (I warned you it had spoilers) through reasons beyond my control klingklang got taken out and i tossed in samurott and used aqua tail on the mawile as i meteor mashed everything else that came out, for some reason they didnt find it worth taking out my metagross... strange right?

and... well... thats actually it... thus the reason i was so surprised... it usually takes 5-8 attempts for me to make a team and get the levels all cozy for reborn gyms heck took me that many tries to get through the prior area....

if anyone else had a different experience or an easier one or just an interesting one type it up, i want to see how others dealt with this

  4. That's not a headbuttable tree. The ones you want will be purple. I know 2 of them can be reached by going through the grotto. You enter by jumping that ledge in your screen shot and entering the building immediately on the left and make your way through the tunnels. I recommend you bring flash.

    finally an answer... thanks

  5. Ironically, I'm actually working at getting an Inkay now. The tree I'm using is found towards the bottom of the waste land, and requires you to hop down a slope to reach. The only other notable thing about it is that it is situate right next to a cave entrance. You do not need any special Pokemon to reach it, and should only need rock smash (I think.)

    Much obliged X XX X

please allow me to add that this area here---->v

    post-61052-0-98699400-1454388587_thumb.jpg

is the only tree i can find. If this is the right one then i need to submit a post so.... yeah..

  6. Ok I KNOW that this has been answered I saw the topic I saw that the dude got it. I know how to evolve it so my question is this.

WHERE IS THERE A HEADBUT TREE IN THE WASTELAND!!!

I've blown through 100 repels and I swear that there were 3-4 of them before... But now the only "headbut" tree will only allow you to interact via cut.

Can someone just post an image of where there's a hadbuttable tree or tell me how I'm being stupid about it .-.

-using level 32 scraggy with headbut as party lead-

  7. remember ametrine mountain(from the cascade where amarias house is) just climb it without using waterfall and you will have 2 pathways one will lead to the city which avalugg was blocking left once before the other route 4 right this treck could be made easier if you remember to only use surf and not dive or waterfall as for a video watch a play through on youtube

thanks for that i usually get lost in there but thats a good way to do it

  8. ok easy way remember the city where charoletes gym is i forgot the name exist through the exit on the right thell be waterfall with some stones you can jump on go till the end and absol will automatically enter battle with you if you have an ill fated doll you can get that from 7th street if you already dont have it ou can only get one so save before hand and you might wanna bring a pokemon with compound eyes to raise the chance to get a life orb(a vey rare and uefull item ingame) hope this helped

it would help except... i already knew where to get him, just for the life of me i can't remember how to get to route 4. i already have a life orb too and the ill fated doll

  9. Ok, if this has been asked/done in any way, shape, or even form, then i apologize. I'm horrible at surfing these things and didn't find it so...

I've beaten the newest leader (only took 80 hours of game play... thats like 4 normal games there people) so that was a thing.

And i've decided to start mon hunting to fill in some reserve spots. I've gotten pretty much everyone...except absol.

Now normally, i just get REAAALLLLY lost and i wind up in the right place eventually... after 3 hours i found that whatever im doing is wrong so im kinda outta ideas here.

can any give directions from end game perspective (to route 4/calcenon city)? like starting at the circus kinda perspective so i can hunt this sucker down.

That or just tell me you can't get him until fly is free cuz of sleep spell...

  10. Probably the Chess puzzle for those unfamiliar with it, or Shelly's pre-the current change. Assuming people don't look stuff up anyway. I don't think most of the puzzles in the game are hard, but I'm also a little biased, since I sorta know all the solutions.

I don't really plan the puzzles in advance; I let that happen as I make each area. So who knows! But ideally puzzles would scale in difficulty as the game goes on. I can only do so much though... so we'll see.

Ame -looks around worriedly- its ok, its just a noob who's crying over her mon. as for the puzzle, go ham... as long as its not a variable slider/rotator puzzle like that one at the circus im game. SHOW ME WHAT YA GOT!!!! -stands with feet shoulder width apart crounched down wearing a baseball mit to catch it all-

  11. Now that I think about it, keeping a save file that doesn't have these relationship values might be just as interesting as starting a new one. Since it wouldn't have the pre-E16 values, it would lead to different totals in the end than if you did get those values, so you might end up with some characters having higher or lower results than you normally would without the impact from previous decisions.

Also I'm not going to abandon my adamant nature perfectly EV'd shiny Crobat.

I agree completely... i spent hours hatching the perfect scrafty with 31 speed IV 30 attack IV 0 SpA IV 17 HP IV and 25 in both def. I am not even remotely close to resetting this. i even got him 252 attack speed and 4 hp.... I'll complete the game and then go through it again and suffer in silence.

Unless amy is about to tell us "you have to have this character with this much and its not possible except through pre-ep 14 stuff" in which case, LEMME TRADE QQ

  12. Of course the poll is basically tied. You guys love making my life so easy.

Ofc Caz that's just how it is. Now to make things harder... We all know those Visual Novel Games that the Japanese and Chinese are always playing for the *ahem* story? Are you going to make it possible to have save states? cuz when i run into a decision that changes what i see at the end, either i'm going to play it through and restart, or im going to flip a coin and pray i get a good one... and then restart. as such, i'd prefer to use my already set up team ya know?

  13. I'm pretty sure Reborn has an Elite 4. Rejuvenation has an Elite 8.

    Ok good to know.

All I have to say is to man up already and stop whining. We are Rebornians. We enjoy suffering through countless of reattempts over breezing through a gym leader (cough Ciel cough) so wouldn't you rather struggle at what should be the hardest part of the game than to just sweep them or win by exploits. (Besides, the AI won't be that much different than what it is nowadays).

That reminds me, the whole Radomus won't do Trick Room was all due to a speed thing so Gallade was what stopped Radomus from doing it in the first place. It took me forever to realize that, but yeah...thank the heavens Shelly will use Rain Dance now.

Unlike Pokemon dark rising if you can't beat the E4 you can't hack your way to completion. Knowing me, I'll be at the e4 for 40+ hours since it took me 10 for ciel.

You're confused my man, it's been specifically stated in game that there's only an E4 ( though there is about 8 POTENTIAL candidates for who they and the champion will ultimately be when we fight them ). Also I think no matter how much anyone asks Ame is gonna make them as difficult as humanly possible.

So I gathered... And your right... QQ
  14. Im seriously worried about the AI improvement... In the playthrough i was doing they all did use Rain dance, trick room, etc. Heck T3RR4 didn't even really spam EQ on me... but i found her to be the easiest leader to date sooooo yeah.

On another note, Ame can we not give the E4 level 19+ AI? from what i've seen its more like E6-8 and i don't know if i have enough faith to handle 6-8 types with one pack :/ (unless you give us drain punch, poison jab, or ice punch TM then come at me sis)

  15. today was pretty good

as you might be able to tell by the sudden jump in progress

made the white versions of obsidia, lapis and coral

also took a wrench to the AI.

so here's a little story about how base essentials AI is....... i'm not going to say stupid, but it prioritizes randomness over making good decisions. I won't say that's inherently bad, but things like, a deliberately coded 10% chance to NOT choose the best move after it's been identified, annoy me. there was also something that gave it a 30% chance to select the 'wrong' target in doubles. that's annoying too.

    so i removed them.

that has it's drawbacks in that battles will probably be less varied... but, worth.

I also changed how it handles choosing the best moves. Like before, if a certain condition was met (which was usually only in an extreme circumstance (a 4x weakness was apparently often not extreme)) it would consider using a certain move instead of just picking one randomly. Now it'll always check for good moves (and won't have a chance to not use them -.-)

you know... that good but... bad... there were definite times where the AI SEEMED to be lacking.... and times when i enjoyed it being lacking. IE, keeping togekiss out using all HP recovery items on it when my toxic is up to the point of 50+% hp (much like the current progress bar). So its good that the AI wont be so idiot... but it terrifies me for the elite 90 that we're gonna have to fight that will all play like Callum or Shady... if we're lucky like Patterrz ;)that last part is my mostly kidding... kinda

  16. I love jamming references and meme into SIDE content, no one can take that luxury away [:

I don't plan on putting a teleporter near the volcano. Instead, I actually have plans to put one inside the Red cliff Lab.

keep being so nice giving us all these teleporters and we won't ever need fly :P (hint hint cough cough)

so help me caz, if you make a T3RR4 style-ish MAIN character i will be your biggest fan. Her run was waaay to short. hell i took pictures of most of her dialogue... then i broke my phone so it's lost until i tighten up and replay reborn... as if.
