    well - this is embarrassing! thanks, i suppose! I'll leave this up for a hot minute so you can see and then delete it so it doesnt take away from others' issues!

    I'm not sure if this counts as fatal, but i can't progress, so I'm assuming so? 

    So I talked to Aderyn and went to Weeping Hill, came back to level grind, and ended up joining the Ranger Guild then, and starting the first quest in that area. Apparently, doing that brought back the NPC that blocks off Weeping Hill, and talking to Aderyn again doesn't make her move again. So I'm stuck!

    EDIT: 

    So I reverted the save to the point before I joined the Ranger's Guild, and the NPC was still there? So it's not the Ranger's Guild that does this, maybe it's leaving Celeste at all? I'm at a loss, I'm sorry!

    I rage quit and didn't pick up the game for months on Narcissa before her battle got reworked in...i wanna say v8 or 9? Someone rec'd simple+calm mind Swoobat and it was LIFE CHANGING...then I spent the whole of my birthday meticulously plotting my strategy for Angie...

     

    Right now though I'd say Adam or Souta, my second playthrough has Souta up next and it's so woefully underprepared...rip

    Of all things, Mawile...you get attached to a Pokemon you keep sending out first when you're trying to beat Angie again...and again...and again... It was the only thing at the time that could survive 2 rounds of Weavile's Beat Up before healing lol
    Definitely can't wait until mega evolving becomes a thing for the MC!!!!

    I probably will...I lost everything I did in e16 to file loss and doing it all again is disheartening...
    Oh, well...the team I was using were ones I'd kept from the very beginning, their stats weren't matching up to the competitive, fully evolved teams of the leaders, and besides they were way underleveled anyway...never did beat Adrienn...

    W The other instance we know of is Amaria x Titania, but these 2 characters interact with very few people other than close friends and the PC throughout the game.

    Technically, there's also Ciel x Terra, even if that seems more of a FwB thing. Given a few of their interactions, it's a good guess that one or both of them could be bi or pan.

    It seems like the farther you go from Reborn City, the less likely that religions are going to have a hold on the residents. You don't exactly see the people trapped in the circus looking to Arceus for guidance, or even the people of Calcenon.

    Of course, there's the whole 'angel' symbolism through Heather in Ametrine City...but it's just as likely that it's just that - a symbol that doesn't mean much more than something good.

    Hypothesis: people are more spiritual than religious, practice privately...with the obvious exception to Arceism.

    Oooh! That really hasn't come to mind much, but it'd be the perfect character death to elicit a reaction. She's been with us since the beginning...the reason behind her personality has all been developed within the game's canon, and depending on choices, has even started to crack. Letting her pre-Titania's wrath -self show (whether it involves her sorority sisters, Fern, or some other character important to her), only to have her be killed or sacrificed?

    Well, it'd be absolutely awful, and it'd hurt. A ton. Both player and characters.

    But if she dies for the sake of a Fern redemption I will throw a Tauros across a field in anger

    I chose to go with Erin, just because to be honest her sharp tongue oh my gosh she's great the idea of going with Flora seemed pretty abysmal
    Your choice does affect the story, I think, and there's a couple choices besides that (at least there were with Erin)

    Sometimes I do wonder if keeping the characters mildly vague was on purpose...dialogue's definitely not a strong point but as far as character design there's a ton of potential...
    Personally, I like to see it as...leaving it open for interpretation. Maybe letting the player see the character as whatever they want, instead of a set character? Which would be an interesting move. Not the best, but interesting.
    It's really weird...flawed and not developed as they are, I really have fallen for many of the cult leaders.

    That being said, some of the executions in plot are really, really creative. It's definitely improved on the added HM effects that Zeta/Omicron introduced (I won't mention them in lieu of spoilers) and added story to them to boot. There's a ton of hidden features, with teasers to more hidden in plain sight.

    Plus there's the whole postgame thing...between it's pretty much confirmed that there will be an extra region, plus a World Tournament...that's pretty cool...right?

    That'd make for a really bittersweet ending - where you saved a bunch of people, but none of them ever met you and don't know all the good you did for them, no matter which way the timeline recreates itself.

    Considering that Team Meteor is planning a second fall, it feels like most of the rest of the story will be focused on preventing that, since so much effort has been already made by Adrienn, Ame, and the leaders to restore Reborn.
