You need to grab some rage powder and then interact with it. I learned that if you leave a Crustle asleep somewhere, leave the area (route 2) and then come back later on that when you summon it from its cave you can't interact with it unless you battle it with the rage powder and summon a new one afterwards.

Actually you can overwrite surf with waterfall or dive while you're surfing, that's how i got around without having to waste heart scales at the relearner or use a HM slave. It's a bit annoying, would personally prefer other suggested systems like HM items.

what exactly is the last answer to the blind girl's quiz in Coral Ward? I can't seem to get it right no matter what way I count the machines.
-
It is, I think this needs to be fixed cause I had the same issue. The game suggests you can go there after you finish the help requests but you need to beat Amber as well.
-
I need a little help. I finished the Kristilinie Town quest "Research" and got the hint about a secret in Narcissa's gym. The only thing I found so far was a statue in the battle field room were she says something, but that's all. I have searched the gym and cannot seem to finde something. I don't want to be spoiled, I just need a little hint or something.
That one is scripted poorly, go back to the statue after your 8th badge.

You can get both if you happen to get an Elekid from the mystery egg and the Magby from the Xen Lab. However only the Magby or Elekid from the Xen Lab can actually carry the evolution item for its final evolution.
-
The valor mountain thing is very minor, the way you access the mountain is based on whether you choose to give up the magma stone or not in the corrupted cave. Basically it decides which of the 2 entrances you will use, however both are relatively close to each other. Also, choosing to give up the magma stone will result in you receiving the TM for Magma Drift a slight bit later, there seems to be no benefit in voluntarily giving up the stone.

Never did I think that the Meowth with really good IV's I caught early on too fill up my team for the time would find itself to be a staple up to the very end, still loving my Persian today.

I loved version 8, absolutely amazing redesigns and loved the new content, there's 2 things that need to be buffed in my opinion however;
- The Speed EV training room only has pokemon which yield 1 EV point in Speed, this makes speed EV training way too tedious (not sure about every other room but the Special Attack room has a lot of 2-3 yield Pokemon)
- The replacement Ghost gym leader (forgot his name) is too easily defeated, got him on my first try without knowing or teching for his lineup while playing with lower leveled Pokemon since opening up with a Moonblast changed the field. He seemed to have no way to reverse it unlike Narcissa, this pretty much crippled all of his moves aside from his Dusknoir's earthquake.
-
The OP is outdated.
Speaking of your list, I saw you still had a TODO, please allow me to assist; Fossils can be resurrected after you get your 8th badge from Amber, when you talk to Melia at Terujama Shore she will mention everyone was brought back home which includes the staff at the drilling company.

The back up lab event for Elekid and Magby are they BOTH there Because I always seem to find Elekid and not Magby. :/
If you chose left you'll get Elekid and right will result in Magby.
-
Too bad, always loved Poliwrath, spent so much time searching for that lily pad.
-
But you might as well catch the Elekid in the lab and evolve it with the item if it carries it, it's just that then you'd have one Elekid from the egg and another from the lab. What I meant with useless is that someone who gets let's say a Starley from the egg can still get an Electivire on top of it through the Xen lab while someone who got an Elekid from the egg can at best save some time through thief/covet, it's still better than getting a Sneasel, Rhyhorn or Growlithe I suppose (thankfully none of which I've ever hatched from the egg).
-
If you SR or just lucky, Magby and Elekid can be caught holding their evolution items, respectively.
So essentially getting an Elekid (among Sneasel, Rhyhorn and Growlithe) from the mystery egg is kinda useless sinceif you want to gain the item for its final evolution you'd need to catch the very same Pokemon again at the secret lab?

The field effect of Darchlight Woods states: "Poison attacks deal neutral to Grass and Fairy types.", however, when I used Sludge Wave against Florin's Whimsicott (grass/fairy) I actually dealt ineffective damage.
-
I see, pretty cool to see the precise odds, where did you get this data from if I may ask? Would be very interested to see all species, locations, times and odds for future playthroughs.

This is just one of the many steps towards allowing to speedrun Rejuvenation...

I AM NOT SORRY, JAN.
*getting whacked by Jan and Zumi intensifies*
Interesting list, this makes me wonder about the evolve items though, pokemon like Dusknoir and Rhypherior are listed as N/A on the original list and rightfully so because the necessary items are not ingame. Yet Magmortar and Electivire are listed as available, is this cause the items are ingame but not on your list (yet)?
It's also painful to learn that there are in fact moonstones available before being able to mine stones. Knowing that I could've had a Nidoqueen and Clefable earlier on would've made everything so much easier hehe.
-
This playthrough was started on 8.1, binged on it and completed it in a few days. So I guess I got extremely lucky with the early Cleffa encounter?
-
Is Cleffa supposed to be very rare? It was the 2nd or 3rd Pokemon I encountered on route 2 and have been using it throughout the entire game.

Does Metaphysical provide an additional 20% boost similar like how abilities like Aerilate and Pixilate do?
