My plan was to make my own maps tilesets and scripts (using pre existing ones as guidance), but to keep the "fields" because I think the idea for the terrain to be effecting a battle is really neat. Thanks for the download link and for pointing me in the right direction guys!

Would it be ok if I made my own pokemon game using the reborn game engine? I'm looking to make a pokemon game for the first time and it seems like Reborn would be easier to edit that a ROM. Similarly, what programs would I use to edit tilesets and maps?
