[Cannot get Growlithe]

Yes I have completed the miniquest (including the dead one)
I actually have previously gotten the growlithe, but I soft resetted because I realised I had to beat the psychic gym and didn't want to backtrack. After I beaten the psychic gym, the investigator is no longer there and I cannot claim the growlithe.
