Done. Beat the E4 a second time after killing Mewtwo... The second run i literally only used Zapdos... left everyone else in the pc, Used a hell of alot of full restores and used two max elixers and a max ether. My zapdos was a powerhouse but it had low pp.... meh, the challenge was fun, but i was surprised my Pikachu wasn't my strongest in the end.... its usally him or my charizard.

At the E4 now. Caught Zapdos, evolved a Magnemite I caught, and caught an Electrode and trained it a bit. Used Lapras instead of Squirtle for HM Surf and Strength slave. Battle team for E4 goes as follows:

So I'm gonna do something not said for this challenge, I'm gonna go on yellow and do an entire electric team... Already know my team too, Pikachu (of course), Electrode, Zapdos, Jolteon and probably HM slaves. Even if it's not allowed, I'm gonna do it for my own personal enjoyment then. Just got pikachu, battled Gary (rival) and leaving Pallet Town. Wish me luck.

We could. I didn't actually start mapping yet because i have to edit a few tilesets in order to do the main hall from the map. Shouldn't take all that long really

Oh, and since I'm choosing to edit emerald for the frontier factor, I believe Ame should be Steven, and the FINAL gym leader of the game, and he just so happens to be around basically every corner the player turns.

The editing sprites would be useful. I'm gonna go do the chores required for today at my house, then start on re-mapping all the way up to where the first gym should be. There will be nothing but map until we figure out what we want for trainers and events and such. Also ask friends if there any good with pokemon scripting and if they'd like to help. It'd be much appreciated. I think we should map first, script second, and come up with the story along the way. Polls would be useful in deciding the story, such as a poll like What should happen before you enter the final gym? 1. Nothing 2. Rayquaza appears 3. Team (whatever they'll be called) appears and stops you 4. Gym leader isn't there

The levels will naturally have to be lower with more gyms, it won't be as hard as you think. Help with mapping would be nice, since I'm thinking its gonna be a pretty big map. Conor, I have a simple script compiler, I just have to figure out how it works more, and it can make a wild battle script, like regi's and legends, a give egg, item, and pokemon script. So it seems like it'll do good.

OR, we could use Lunar, and they just patch the update onto it, making the downloads much faster since all it is is a much smaller patch file.

I might be able to find some, but I know they won't be NEARLY as advanced as the GBA tools. AND the problem then is graphics, because often the roms graphics are a bit glitchy.

Im sure you could develop a script for that, if only they had tools for 4thGen.... Itd be much easier. Although that does sound pretty cool

^ Ya thats what I mean, but only for certain types, since eight have to give badges... We can even use the badges that we put on the trainer cards

We could advance the game as far as reborn leaders have been anounced, and only the current leaders grant badges, and all other leaders that aren't E4 can be similar to the fighting gym in red blue and yellow, giving a free pokemon for defeating the leader.

Ok, so I know for a fact that everyone has played ruby and sapphire and emerald, the games for third gen. I also know that everyone loves Reborn [s]you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't[/s]. I just so happen to be quite talented at hacking sapphire and ruby and emerald maps and such, but, the only thing I CAN'T do is script. So, that's why I created this topic. I wanna know if anyone would be interested in our very own Reborn game hack. Also, I need someone good with scripting and such, and maybe the text editors [s]I can't word my sentences like pokemon does[/s].
