tough choice. prolly Steel-type. solid type that makes some of the best dual types in the game
Gym obstacles, no idea, prolly none except the obligatory lackeys
Team would be balance/bulky offense
Mega Scizor (physically defensive Swords Dance to stop EQ from runnin thru my whole team)
Aegislash
Bisharp
Empoleon
Excadrill
Magneton
lead with Mag to make them feel safe

tossin OU scrubs with a garbage team:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-237115597
streak ended at 4 wins, unfortunately. lost the 5th because of a misclick lol smh:

that dude did not deserve that win, he shulda gotten 6-0'd by Sparce and he knows it lol
one of my frens later decided to tweak the team a bit and have a bit of fun:

have alot of favs. just depends on what team i'm usin
Physically Defensive Mandibuzz is God. dunno why these ladder scrubs let it drop to UU, smh, watch me 1v1 these Eviolite Chanseys all day
Physical wall Togekiss is another favourite, sometimes I put a Nasty Plot on it to make it more threatening.
Competitive Milotic is dangerous on a predicted Lando-T lead. Usually drops/badly damages 2-4 mons before going down
Max Def SD mega Scizor might be the closest I have to an overall favourite since it has cleanly swept more than any other mon I've used. plus, its just got a nice design both aesthetically and competitively.
-EDIT-
Just remembered five more
SpDef Celebi. nice solid check to Keldeo and Rotom-W scum
Rotom-W. yes, i kinda dissed Rotom-W fans previously, but it's admittedly a pretty good mon
Heatran. Solid typing, solid bulk. my main Tflame counter
Conkeldurr. nuff said
Tyranitar. I love using Sand, and T-tar hits hard af as well as gets a solid boost to its special bulk in Sand

haha, real nice community here o.o uh. dunno if this counts as bad necro'ing, but i just wanted to say thanks fer all the welcomes. I beat that Cradily today :] now i can reliably use my level 30 Frogadier again lol thank the lord

Frogadier
not the heaviest hitter on my team (that would be Hariyama), but its ability lets it do decent damage and enables alot of shenanigans. can't wait till it evolves
-
might as well get some R$
I've had Reborn for awhile. kinda dropped it after I sorta got stuck/lost and didnt kno where to go, but now I'm back in it. tryna get past the second gym lol thank goodness my shiny Makuhita will evolve at 24, that Cradily is a threat and a half.
I noticed alot of the pseudo-legendaries aren't available in-game yet (according to the current Obtainable Pokemon list), which is a tad disappointing. Hydreigon is one of my fav mons heh. well at the very least when its implemented, it'll be late enough to make its pre-evos encounter-able at level 60-ish or whatever
likin the game so far. I mean, my computer doesn't, but the game itself is nice
My name's Aegis :]

5th gym? Good God almighty, that's rather a bit of a downer e_e One of my favourite things about Pokemon was the journey to all sorts of different areas. Heh, well thanks to both of ye.
Didn't kno this place had a thread for intros
