  1. tnx of answers guys

btw how do i remove field effects ?

Swinub line gets Mist, which will turn the field into Misty Terrain for a few turns (He can access Swinub at Citrine Mountain now right? Down from Shades Gym? Rock Smash?). Evolve it.

This will power up Swines Icy Wind if you want, or you can spam Earthquake immediately afterwards. Consider Male Meowstic (Prankster)/Swine lead. Fake Out Tentacruel with Meowstic, use Mist with Swine 1st turn and go from there (You might need a bit of luck on Nidoqueens chosen move). Meowstic Psyshock is very good here as a reliable turn 2 on Tentacruel if you don't want screens/Safeguard. I had Magneton and Donphan in the back, with Blaziken and Swoobat to clean up.

I'm off to hatch my Axew. Good luck!

  2. If there's a similar topic and that you can't reply, it's probably because the topic is closed and the bug is now known. Therefore the bug has been acknowledged and will be fixed in due updates.

It is strange that the only pokemon that stays awake is the Pokemon that isn't grounded.

Also, I'm not positive but the Blitzle's ability MAY be randomized. If anyone would like to correct me, that would be great.

I thought I'd say something as I don't know if abilites would have any effect on something like this. What I was doing using Butterfree in Electric Gym I have no idea. Would it be worth someone testing with another pokemon? Bulbasaur gets Sleep Powder right?

Also with Blitzle I'm going off Chubbs guide - the ability is listed as Motor Drive.

  3. I've seen a similar topic in the Known Bug Bin, but as I can't post a reply to it I thought I'd post here instead.

In a battle with Julia on my new E15 save file my Shiny Butterfree made a mockery of the rules. It's Compound Eyes Sleep Powder put every Grounded Pokemon to sleep (Electrode missed it's Rollout I think). The only pokemon that didn't go to sleep was Emolga.

I thought I'd post as I know in the other topic there was discussion over what should, and what can fall asleep.

Everything gets naptime EXCEPT Emolga "Electricity jolted Emolga awake!"

Something else happened too. My Volt Absorb Pachirisu used Spark on Blitzle, and it worked. I thought Motor Drive took that and increased Blitzles speed? Unless the ablility is now Sap Sipper? But then if it is Sap Sipper, how did it go to Sleep? (Does that even work?)

Much strangeness. Butterfree OP. Must ban.

  4. I tend to go a bit bulky with my Swamperts.

Adamant, 252HP/252Atk/4Def Waterfall/Earthquake/Rock Slide/Other should do well enough as it should learn Rock Slide/Earthquake by itself. I'll assume you've have to wait for Waterfall though.

  5. Not too sure if this needs to be in the Sub-forum. My 14.6 game doesn't seem to be switching between music tracks when I enter a new area/battle.

I did the Solosis event this morning, and upon capturing said Solosis I noticed the overworld BGM hadn't started playing. I saved the game and carried on. After a minute or so it started up again by itself. And carried over into the next town. And the next. And the next. I battled some Pokemon. No battle BGM, just Iolia Valley.

I soft-reset the game, and tried again. Same BGM.

I closed down the game, and reopened just now (about 3 hours later) and I can still hear the same BGM playing.

I'm in Jasper Ward with the Iolia Valley BGM. As sweet sounding as it is I reckon the novelty will wear off soon.

I've also tried turning off the BGM using the F1 box but that hasn't done anything yet. It just restarts the track.

Sound effects are all present and correct.

  6. Thing is, you can actually get a Chikorita in the game too (you need a Chimecho though). I've just finished my playthrough of 14.5 so I'm looking at things to breed/train. Chikorita stood out as getting Leaf Storm and Leech Seed as Egg Moves. Whether I get that set in Reborn is a different matter entirely.

As for teamates I'd try and get the Grass/Water/Fire core, then cover off the poison weakness with a Steel Type so you have safer switch in should Cain/Aya get a bit fruity. You can get a Magenemite in Shades Gym, so that covers the Flying Weakness too.

Your Meowstic covers the natural Fighting weakness Steel has, so then it'd be just a case of rotation. You'll need more than 6 pokes to form a team. I used roughly 12-14 in my run. Gym battles tend to go something like Lose-Adjust-Win.

  7. Only done a 14.5 run, but Radomus was by far the easiest due to Heracross and Skuntank starting the game and generally being pests.

Charlotte was challenging until I remembered Meowstic could Rain Dance (Prankster swag). Samson was too luck-based to say, but he was quite hard to get past.

The one singular hardest thing I faced? Noels Clefable. Cosmic Power on the level cap. Damn that thing was annoying. Ended up melting it with repeated Acid Sprays but damn that thing was tough.

  8. Ooh, I kinda like yawn. After all they don't fall asleep immediately

Yeah that's what I thought at first. A gradual drowsy (Drowzee? lol) feeling before the "RAAAWWWWRRRR!" breaks the silence and apparent serenity.

If it does turn out to be Yawn induced sleep it could be a few things causing it, as a fair amount of Pokemon get Yawn these days. I just finished my playthrough of 14.5 so I'm itching to find out what actually happened to Agate.

Watch it be something dark + sinister.

  9. Agate City PULSE?

For some reason I really want it to be Gengar or another Ghost. Some of those bad boys learn Hypnosis too.

Bit of an 'out-there' suggestion: Slowbro? Using Yawn? That'd be cool.

  10. Empoleon (Starter, Defiant) - Bubblebeam, Hydro Pump, Metal Claw, Aqua Jet

Arcanine (Jasper Ward Growlithe event, Justified) - Flamethrower, Extremespeed, Outrage, Crunch

Krookodile (Tanzan Cave, Anger Point) - Earthquake, Foul Play, Sandstorm, RockSmash/Strength

Noivern (Railnet, Infiltrator) - Dragon Pulse, Super Fang, Air Slash, Roost

Amoonguss (Azurine Island, Effect Spore) - Spore, Toxic, Rage Powder, Giga Drain

Meowstic Male (Sketchy house, Prankster) - Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic, Fake Out

    Currently benched

Metagross (Byxbysion Wasteland, Clear Body) - Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Hammer Arm

Skuntank (Peridot Garden, Keen Eye) - Feint, Flamethrower, Ngith Slash, Toxic

Heracross (South Adventurine Woods, Guts) - Close Combat, Megahorn, Brick Break, Cut/False Swipe

I have Gastly, Abra, Mudkip, and a Male Ralts to train if I need. Just about to finish in Iolia Valley.

  11. My Prankster Male has put in a lot of work in the double battles. Never underestimate the usefulness of a priority Reflect/Light Screen/Flash/Safeguard/Substitute + Fake Out.

Offensively it's outclassed by the Female because of it's slightly more varied movepool. Which in turn is eventually outclassed by Gardevoir/Alakazam. But until you get to that point in the game it's the best Psychic type I found.

  13. Lv34 Wooper has Earthquake (Azurine Island??)

You can fish for Barboach/Carvanha at the very back of Aqua Gangs base after beating them at the end of that side mission. When you get the Good Rod the higher level ones have Aqua Tail.

You can get Wingull/Pelipper on Apophyll beach (but they're wingull and Peilipper)

If you're Growlithe has a decent nature I'd use that, or if you really want the Azurill, get the Vulpix.
