  1. While I'm fine with both options for rpgs I'd prefer the second one for Pokemon in particular. Because one- I'm used to it. Two, It's fun making up personalities and traits for the characters you play as. You can think up of the things the characters say and insert it into the game as you wish.

Well, most of the time your character has predefined traits anyway, or predefined relationships with certain characters. Take Rejuvenation for example, sure there is variety in what you can play as (4 fully developed models with sprites, battleback etc.) but the game straight up forces you to be the spoiled rich kid of a famous trainer with a very well established personality and traits.

  2. is there even a slim chance that there is going to be a pokemon world tournament here in reborn in the post-game?would be a feature that most of all wold be exited.a feature when we fight all gym leaders of every region,e4,champions,bosses,special traines(Red,N etc.)(in their field)like in pokemon b2w2.but different from that we should defeat all of them and in the .i dont know what are the plans of the creators, but that would be an good idea.yeah caching all the legendaries would be a good idea but it seems like not much material for the post-game.

That was just a suggestion!!! want to know what you guys think.

I don't think that will happen, bro.

  3. Meganium was created in GSC and it was actually decent back then,

Could run a bulky Swords Dance set, a Dual Screen set, a Curse set with Light Screen and leech seed,,, and it could pull its weight. Its stats were nice for the bulky GSC meta.

Very few pokemon had good coverage moves back then, so Meganium was not sticking out like a sore thumb.

Chicorita learned Razor Leaf at level 8! Even tho it could not do shit at the first 2 gyms, it was very tough in general.

Problem is, later generations came, new and stronger pokemon appeared, older pokemon became better, new moves were created and almost all pokemon obtained good coverage... well .. Meganium was not included in any of that :D

And it kept going down the drain. And it keeps going... poor thing.

I agree, I was around for GSC and it was easily regarded as the best starter. Though I would argue that Feraligatr got the worse treatment, he really has always been useless whereas Meganium was useful at one point.

  4. I was playing Pokemon Pyrite earlier, a romhack of Crystal with increased difficulty and a few additional features. One of the things I really like about it and think would be a great addition in Reborn is the physical level cap. Once you reach the cap, you can't go above that level. Any exp you gain is immediately reduced to zero. I never understood why you need sweet candies to reduce your pokemon's level in Reborn, It's unintuitive and really takes away from the fun in my eyes. It adds a layer of difficulty (read: annoyance) that I really can't be bothered to deal with. It's not fun.
