I've tested Mold Breaker and have even taken a look at the code of Storm Drain, Motor Drive, Flash Fire and a couple of other immunity abilities and it seems you can still hit them with the types they should be immune to. Levitate works but I think its because it has these lines of code :
(!user.hasWorkingAbility(:MOLDBREAKER) &&
!user.hasWorkingAbility(:TERAVOLT) &&
!user.hasWorkingAbility(:TURBOBLAZE)).
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I didn't see it on the wall of bugs.

i know i'm making more work for myself here, but there's two reasons i won't do that. The first is that, remembering my thoughts as a player on fan-games back from the rom-hacking era, if a hack wasn't up to the current generation, I was like 80% less likely to care about it at all. Of course I don't expect a developer (or myself) to keep adding each and every generation after the game is complete, but as for during development, I see little reason not to.
Second is because I am sort of a dunce and that day, whatever day it was, that they announced ice-ninetales (and yes, i might be mildly obsessive over it), I had a thought process somewhat like the following:
Alolan Ninetales is so pretty! I'm actually looking forward to using it when the new games come out! I want to love and take care of it forever!
Oh, wait, based on 6th gen, Sun and Moon will probably be so easy I'll barely even be able to enjoy the game, let alone get any kind of satisfying experience with my Pokemon in it even if I do like them.
If only Gamefreak or someone else would make a Pokemon game that was actually interesting and challenging--
oh... wait, I guess I'm doing that, huh.
The new Ninetales alone has been a pretty potent reminder for me about why I am personally invested in this project. Maybe that seems silly to others (well forgetting I'm making a game probably -is- silly, but, details..) but this is my game and it's something I personally really want. So it's happening.
ahahahaha. This are exactly my thoughts when looking for a Pokemon romhack online. I was just telling my friend how impatient I am for Gen 7 content and the games themselves. I just want to have a team I like while also being challenged and it seems Reborn is the only place that can satisfy both my needs so I'm happy to here Gen 7 content is coming to Reborn.

Is this store closed? If not could I get overworld sprites for Siebold, Wikstrom, Olympia and Valerie. I'd be fine with only 1 forward looking sprite per character. No need for side facing or backfacing ones. Heres an example of a forward looking sprite of Cyrus.

Probably my overall favorite gen of starters. Makes me wish Gen 7 comes to Reborn earlier than expected, well at least the 3 starters and their evos.

I have 999 for 3ds and Virtues Last Reward for Vita but I'm saving them for a rainy day. I finished both Danganronpas and the first 3 Phoenix Wright games so I can't exhaust my entire supply of "logical" games,

Where was the 'Gym Leaders will have 7 Pokemon after beating the League' thing? I've never heard that until I read this thread.
Never heard of it either. What's confirmed is (to my knowledge at least)
- Gym Leader Rematches
- A little place where Gen 7 Pokemon will be
- All Legendaries will be set around Reborn

In the forests around route 1 there are places where you can plant berries, although they are scarce and are quite deep in the forest.
About fertilizers and planting berries, I have never done it so I have no idea.
Yeah I know you can plant berries near the Pikachu house but when I plant 1 Custap Berry I only get 1 Custap berry back. I was hoping I'd get 2 and multiply from there.

Can we even plant berries? I found 2 Custap berries and am looking to multiply them. Which fertilizer if there are any is the best/cheapest to get? Also how long does planting berries take?

Okay nice. I'll probably just wait for the Ciel buff. She was probably the easiest gym leader in Reborn and hopefully Hardy and his weak to everything Rock-types aren't going to out-easy her. Although I'm pretty sure he'll have a Mega Aerodactyl to abuse the Mountain field.

1. Would you say Reborn Hardcore E15 is complete or should we wait for any other small updates before starting.
2. Approximately how long after each Reborn episode do you think it will take you to release the corresponding Reborn Hardcore episode?
3. Will Chamber of Memories be added in alongside Ame's postgame in E19/20?
4. What TMs are in the TM shop?

I've completed the game legitimately numerous times. When I make my videos, I use RPG Maker to teleport and give myself certain things to make the videos more cleaner, such as Max repels, or the items I need for a specific event. That way, I can make my life & videos easier.
I have my separate main file, and some other files that I mess around on, such as an all-Eeveelution run, or using Pokemon you can't get. I feel that if you've played the game as it's supposed to be played, you can do what you want to have fun on a different run.
Yeah I agree completely. I've played so many Pokemon games that Gen 1-6 starters don't interest me as much and I loathe hatching eggs especially after having to manually create viable competitive pokemon before Pokebank during the early days of X and Y.
I honestly feel after all of that bs and running back and forth on a bike for hours that I have earned the right to having a HP Fire Pokemon without having to breed for absurd amounts of time. I will probably do a Dragon/Fairy Ditype playthrough with Deino,Gible,Tyrunt,Ralts,Togepi and Swablu as my team/starters.

Pokemon is an interesting game in general, isn't it?
In the future, (If I even understand Kuro's aspirations correctly) Reborn -will- have a degree of multiplayer functionality. When that's the case, the measures xe has already hinted out would be required in my opinion because some things people do ruin the spirit of the game in terms of fairness. I'm much more opposed to people cheating their way through a multiplayer experience because it's not fair to potential opponents who may not have the best Pokemon possible but who played the game on the straight and narrow.
For now, there's two things that make it acceptable to do anything that could be considered "cheating" in my opinion..........well, three.
- Reborn is a single game experience using the Pokemon formula of "play your own way." - and that includes going back episodes to breed TMs or what have you. The resources are there, use them.
- Reborn is a game that -can- be difficult to play for some, and if cheating improves your experience, then so be it.
- Ame has said in the past that she wishes players would just enjoy her content any way they wished (with again, the warranty being voided if the game suffers unwanted side-effects in the process.)
I completely agree that you are to blame for corrupt files or getting stuck if cheating is the cause but seeing how many players "cheat" or mod Reborn to their liking it would be nice for there to be a quick stickied tutorial for "cheaters" using RPGmaker/Essentials or whathaveyou on how to fix the situation yourself.

Just to clarify on the 3rd question, you meant hacking rare candies into the game to use right? There's generally a pretty even spread across the answers except for that one, in which it's almost exclusively no so I feel like people might have gotten confused. Either that or I got confused and interpreted the question wrong. Or I guess everyone's fine with hacking rare candies into the game.
It was supposed to be hacking but I made a mistake since I was using a Vita to make this poll...so god damned difficult. Not sure if I should delete that question or just have people answer a simple question that has nothing to do with cheating.

Sorry, like the message stated, you cannot return to Reborn City before EP 16 hits. All you can do now is finish up any events you might have missed and wait for the next episode to release.
Not true my good sir. We can fly back to Reborn City but I'm not sure if we "can" canonically. Since E15 ends in the Tent, E16 will probably start from there so anything you do in Reborn City between E15 and E16 is considered non-canon since you shouldn't really be there.
Essentially we can fly to Reborn City in the meantime before E16.

I remember Ame clearly stating that she won't do that. She wanted pokemon to keep their own personnality, to be unique. So IV won't change
My point of view about cheating is that in a solo game it's not very important, and depends on the context. I would say don't do that at first, but sometimes doing the same thing again and again can get boring. Speed hack ? Keeping the game at 2x because it's too slow is not cheating. While 5x speed for EV training may be a bit cheating. But when you already have 30 pokemon fully EV trained for your main run alone (+ 6 other runs with trained mons) training at normal speed is just a pain so it gets justified. It's not like you never did it normally. Same for shinies. The 30 pokemon I mentioned are all shiny. Found at normal speed. But when you spent days trying to find a shiny Horsea then a shiny Skrelp, and you planned to get a shiny Slakoth (normal Slakoth are even worse to get than Horseas), it just gets too boring. So I cheated to get it. Cheat must not be the normal way to play, but sometimes a small help to reduce a boring part of the game like grinding can justify it. The main goal of a game is to be enjoyed, not to be endure.
Then there are monotypes. I did a dragon mono with the hardcore mode, which as you can imagine would be completely impossible with just a Noibat to begin with. So I modified the game to get a Deino as a starter. And most people would have added an other starter (which seeing how hard the beginning was is probably better). This is not really cheating, it's just a small adaptation to keep playing the game without always doing the same thing. More a mod than a cheat in a way.
In my honest opinion though, my pokemon's IVs have never determined their personality while their nicknames, caught locations and general memories with them have. I don't remember my Rocksann the Golem for its Attack IVs, I remember it for setting up stealth rocks on the fire gym leader and how much it helped me in my playthrough with Quick Claw Explosions.
And yeah I'm not sure what justifies cheating since in a single player game its so morally ambigious. I just say play how you want. If you want to start the game with a Goomy instead of a region starter go ahead especially on your 2nd or 3rd playthrough.

It depends.
Speed hacks don't give you an advantage, they only make your time more efficient. It's not like you need to finish the game before X time passes, so it doesn't matter after all. If I grind for one hour with a 2x speed hack, I will have used my free time most efficiently. This being said, I don't use speedhacks.
I have just started the game, and I already have cheated. My friend set the friendship of my Budew to the max via RPG maker. Is it cheating? Yes, of course, but I wanted to get roselia before I did anything else, even if that meant walking from one place to another, saving the game, leveling Budew and reseting if he wasn't evolving. I was going to get roselia anyways, but it saved me lots of time and tedious grinding
However adding 3rd party pokemons can lower the difficulty, or even nullify some encounters or events that were designed to make the game more challenging, possibly ruining the original experience, and maybe giving you a different one.
Also, what about making the game harder? Lowering your mons stats or giving them poor IV's in order to face a greater challenge is also considered cheating.
In the very end, you play games to have fun and as long as there is no PVP, if you feel like cheating your way through you should be able to do.
Some could say the same about changing IVs since 5 Hours of hatching eggs may not be considered using free time efficiently to some.
No arguing here though just showing you a different perspective.

So..a few days ago my friend and I got into a heated debate on what we each considered cheating. Our views were so drastically different, I considered certain things he did cheating and he thought certain things I did was considered cheating and we couldn't come to an agreement as to what was and wasn't considered cheating.
Between editing scripts, using cheat engine, RPGmaker/Pokemon Essentials, Action Replay, RNG Manipulation, glitch exploits like duplication or "Tauros fainting", what people consider cheating and their thresholds are very different so I have decided to make a poll to see what YOU consider cheating.
Legal vs legit threads have existed since the dawn of competitive play and debates about cheating are have been done ad nauseam so please DO NOT ARGUE.
The Polling answers are not public incase you are a closet cheater.
P.S Thanks to all who have responded or voted. Its nice seeing where the community stands.
P.P.S I have removed Question 3(the one regarding rare candies) since a mistake in the question has changed its meaning and in turn the results drastically. Also some grammatical errors or ambiguity for some of the answers have been addressed.

It really doesn't. I've been done E15 for a long time and whenever I feel like getting a new teammate I just go ham and spend ridiculous amounts of time breeding. "PreE16" would have been a more appropriate name for this topic.
Glorious as it is, I think the first thing he'd find appalling is that it's running Mirror Coat.
Well, I may digress. It's not entirely useless especially if you're running Sturdy, but Thunder Wave is probably better in the long run, though I can imagine it being very useful in some situations.
Mirror Coat is much better than Thunder Wave in my opinion. Killing any rampaging non-Mold Breaker special attacker in one move is more useful to me than reducing their speed. I have a Galvantula with 2 speed reducing moves so I think I have that ground covered...in webs. Sorry couldn't help myself.
Must've taken forever to get perfect EVs for all of them, and have so many be "shiny". Congrats
