  1. Had a little free time so I decided to make a trainer. Light blue hair, light blue eyes, black scarf, male. Can do the Vs. Trainer if you choose to go with this design.

Let me know what you think~

  2. Hello world.

My name is StarryD. I've lurked the forums and played reborn since ep8, but only recently became active when I began working on Pokemon Redemption. I have a bachelors in Creative Writing and am currently working towards my bachelors in Management Information Systems. I've had coding experience since high school and played Pokemon since Blue version. In my free time I either code, play Hearthstone Arena infinitely, or play Sm4sh.

Congrats to everyone else picked and hopefully we can all work towards an even better Pokemon Reborn.

Feel free to add me on Hearthstone. StarryD #1163.

  3. Have you ever played Yu-Gi-Oh? if so, is this like Yu-Gi-Oh when they release a broken card for 5 months, banned it and them release a weaker version of it the following year rinse and repeat?

I quit Yu-Gi-Oh because of it....cheap way to make money....

I've played both at the tournament level, and Hearthstone is much more balanced. There are much easier ways to earn packs than by buying them, and cards are hardly ever nerfed. There is no "ban list", but you can have up to two of any card in a deck, except Legendary rarity cards, which is just one of each. Decks are 30 cards instead of Yugioh's 40+.

Try the game if you liked Yugioh but wanted a more balanced system.

  4. Constructed is lame.

Arena is where the cool kids are at.

You also should give links to MidRange Hunter, Face Hunter, Control Warrior, Zoo, Handlock, Lightbomb Priest, Freeze Mage, and Combo Druid, as they're all still extremely viable in the meta.

  5. When you do find those half stars, I'd recommend bumping Pokemon Uranium up to 4.5 (if not 5). It has great custom assets, an interesting rival character, and of course the beatiful looking new Pokemon (with very few duds here an there [i.e: there's a Pokemon based on the titanic lol....]). The story is also set at a very lax pace, not letting the immersion into a world of new Pokemon be overwhelmed with a convoluted plot; the main purpose is to get badges and be a good trainer, and it works for this game. If you can play a fan game through without calling out cliches or getting bored, then that's good enough for me.

  6. Not sure why Godra is ranked 5 stars. anyone familiar with RPG Maker knows the introduction dialogue is the exact same from the template from Pokemon Essentials. Not only that, but the music/sprite tiles/all the assets in general aren't customized at all. On top of all that, there is little direction, little emphasis on the meaningfulness of the choices, and the game is full of spelling errors. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Reborn, but Reborn must have 10 stars for this to have 5.

  7. Are there any plans in future patches to update trainer sprites into something more unique for the game? I get that in early stages that trainer sprites may be a bit ugly/mishapen or just basic recolors of existing sprites, but it seems like (with seven badges in game), that more attention would be paid to the aesthetics. Just curious to see if this has been considered at all.

I wouldn't even mind trying to update the trainer sprites, since there are some I cannot stand (I.E: Madelis or the pink hair protagonist).

  8. it's temporarily removed in 14.5. I have ever intention of putting it back in.

    I kind of

    like this actually

Not exactly sure how to justify it, but altering starting money based on tiers of starters might be interesting to help accommodate for Blaziken being a freelo piece of-- differing strengths between the starters.

But that's a different subject entirely.

Maybe different trades open up depending on what starter is chosen? Like have some people have the normal text speech if their starter is in certain "high tier", but if the trainer chose a "mid tier" or "low tier" starter, then that person can feel sorry/admiration for you and offer you a relatively easy trade for a good Pokemon that would otherwise be obtained later on (maybe like Gligar). This would be a non-monetary solution and offer an exclusive advantage to those who disadvantage themselves with poop starters (though a caveat to this is the trade would be activated say if you had like Bayleef in your party, as opposed to just Chikorita, so people don't just dump the starter for the trade).

    Just an idea to consider.

  9. I feel like the options are very limited early on.

Um, adding some weaker starters early on seems fair. Bulbasaur, chikarita

Maybe an incentive system so people would have a reason to pick Chikorita over SpeedBoost Torchic/ Protean Froakie

  10. Now, excuse me if it's been said- but I think Deino could be fit in early game, or maybe mid game.. Why? Because it doesn't reach Hydreigon until a whopping level 65. If you have the dedication to stick with it for THAT long, congrats, you own a fairy magnet now. It IS extremely powerful, but it's something to think about- it'll be stuck as a Zweilous for a huge chunk of the current release, right?

Have to add Larvesta then also.
